"Can you see the real me" just started playing on my desk radio on the Seattle Washington Nazi propaganda channel FM 102.5 KZOK radio as I made a material addition to this report, which was several minutes ago, relative to the time I make this posting. I was working on my offline computer and I made the reference about "Dr. Weir" and then just after that I heard the song lyrics "Can you see the real me doctor" started playing. "Do you like those effects" the radio announcer said after the song ended. I delayed posting this report to write this sentence because I was just about to make the post when I make the observations in this sentence. There was still some work to do to finish the report but the material information of this report was completed before I heard that song and then the only other material information I added is this paragraph. What I had already decided not to include is the notes from my journal where I was discussing man's invention of fire. I had already decided specifically not to include those notes and so I do not now go back and make the reference here even after thinking for a few minutes about the nature of gas and vapor.
I would rather be back in Columbia South Carolina right now back in the good old days.

Ten years later, in 1890, the first treatise on the "Theory of Binary Solutions" appeared in the Archives Néerlandaises - another great achievement of Van der Waals. By relating his equation of state with the Second Law of Thermodynamics, in the form first proposed by W. Gibbs in his treatises on the equilibrium of heterogeneous substances, he was able to arrive at a graphical representation of his mathematical formulations in the form of a surface which he called "Psi-surface" in honour of Gibbs, who had chosen the Greek letter Psi as a symbol for the free energy, which he realised was significant for the equilibrium. The theory of binary mixtures gave rise to numerous series of experiments, one of the first being carried out by J. P. Kuenen, who found characteristics of critical phenomena fully predictable by the theory. Lectures on this subject were subsequently assembled in the Lehrbuch der Thermodynamik (Textbook of thermodynamics) by Van der Waals and Ph. Kohnstamm.
Mention should also be made of Van der Waals' thermodynamic theory of capillarity, which in its basic form first appeared in 1893. In this, he accepted the existence of a gradual, though very rapid, change of density at the boundary layer between liquid and vapour - a view which differed from that of Gibbs, who assumed a sudden transition of the density of the fluid into that of the vapour. In contrast to Laplace, who had earlier formed a theory on these phenomena, Van der Waals also held the view that the molecules are in permanent, rapid motion. Experiments with regard to phenomena in the vicinity of the critical temperature decided in favour of Van der Waals' concepts.

Univac was the primary product of the Eckert-Mauchly computer company. Not only was it faster, but it demonstrated the shift from base-ten to binary code. A Univac was used by CBS news to predict the outcome of the 1952 Presidential Election. That event brought computing into the public eye, according to many historians. It wouldn't be long before scientific focus shifted to microprocessors.
[Not only was it binary machine language, but to manually program it, you had to start with base-10, convert that mentally to base-8, and then mentally convert that to base-2, or binary.]

Scar
Scars are areas of fibrous tissue (fibrosis) that replace normal skin after injury. A scar results from the biological process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound (e.g. after accident, disease, or surgery) results in some degree of scarring. An exception to this is animals with regeneration, which do not form scars and the tissue will grow back exactly as before.
Treatments
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, no scar can be completely removed although in some cases its appearance can be improved. High melanin levels and either African or Asian ancestry may make adverse scarring more noticeable. As of 2004 no prescription drugs for the treatment or prevention of scars were available.
Chemical peels
Chemical peels are chemicals which destroy the epidermis in a controlled manner, leading to exfoliation and the alleviation of certain skin conditions including superficial acne scars. Various chemicals can be used depending upon the depth of the peel and caution should be used, particularly for dark-skinned individuals and also including individuals susceptible to keloid formation or those with active infections.
Filler injections
Filler injections of Collagen or ArteFill can be used to raise atrophic scars to the level of surrounding skin. Risks vary based upon the filler used, and can include temporary improvement, further disfigurement, and allergic reaction.
Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion involves the removal of the surface of the skin with specialist equipment or not and usually involves a local anaesthetic.
Laser Treatment
Non-ablative lasers such as the 585 nm Pulsed Dye Laser, 1064 nm and 1320 nm Nd:YAG, or the 1540 nm Er:Glass are used as the standard laser therapy for hypertrophic scars and keloids. This therapy smooths the skin by heating up and redistributing collagen while avoiding damage to the epidermis via contact cooling. Multiple sessions are usually required for a significant reduction in redness and improvement in the texture and pliability of hypertrophic scars and keloids.
