MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Scientists who slammed a bus-sized projectile into the moon on Friday, hitting exactly the spot they were aiming for, say it will take weeks to figure out what they did - and did not - see.
More than 230,000 miles from Earth, the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite hit a bull's-eye - two, actually - on the moon. However, the initial images at least, both from the spacecraft and telescopes on Earth, failed to capture expected plumes of debris rising out of the impacts.
At 6:31 a.m. CDT, one piece of LCROSS slammed into the bottom of a crater, excavating hundreds of tons of the moon. Trailing four minutes behind, a second piece sent its observations back to Earth before it also slammed into the same crater.

G.I. Jane
G.I. Jane is a 1997 American action film directed by Ridley Scott, produced by Largo Entertainment, Scott Free Productions and Caravan Pictures, distributed by Hollywood Pictures and starring Demi Moore and Viggo Mortensen. The film tells the fictional story of the first woman to undergo training in U.S. Navy Special Warfare Group.
The SEAL/CRT (Combined Reconnaissance Team) course depicted in the film is offered at Coronado Naval Amphibious Base in California, but the film is set in Jacksonville, Florida. O'Neil is hand-picked by U.S. Senator Lillian DeHaven (Anne Bancroft) to go through the rigorous training right along with the men. O'Neil faces sexism and physical challenges as well as the horse-trading by the Senator who selected her for the experimental program.
The final phase of training (an operational readiness exercise) is interrupted by an emergency situation that requires the SEAL trainees' support. The situation involves a reconnaissance satellite powered by weapons-grade plutonium that fell into the Libyan desert. A team of U.S. Army Rangers is dispatched to retrieve the plutonium, but their evacuation plan fails, and the SEAL trainees are sent to assist the Rangers.
Several days ago I was really offended after following an internet hyperlink that promised to lead to a photo of Demi Moore exposing her breasts and because after I followed that link the photo showed only her bare back and apparently she took the photo of herself exposing her bare back and nowhere did I see her bare breasts exposed. What a rip-off. I mean, sheesh, talk about a conundrum because she is my biological brother's former wife and while I think Phoebe Cate's would probably be the best topless photo of her current self of anybody else there is still the uncomfortable fact she is the wife of my biological brother Thomas Reagan and, well, I struggle to finish this sentence and I just think that was really a rip-off to think I was going to get to see a photo of the bare breasts of Demi Moore and then she chickened out on that and she has never shown her bare breasts before.
