That same day I was at Microsoft asking for my job back, Clinton was near my office at this Costco. I could see that Costco from where I used to sit. I figure Clinton did this because he knew that Microsoft burned me but he didn't know at the time just how bad it was. In essence, they loaned me to Microsoft but they didn't realize Microsoft is effectively a branch of Al Qaeda.

On the space shuttle, can the landing gear cover open without extending the landing gear? I'm thinking that the left side door opened but the right door would not open. I jumped up and down on it until it opened and then I fell through to the outside. I am wondering if I had a tether on and was being bounced up and down against the elevon. I think about that scene from Ramnbo 2 where something similar happens to him. I guess I cut the tether with a knife. I wonder if I had a closing blade or a straight blade. Either way, I would be lucky to not have dropped the knife as I was being bashed against the side at 1200 mph.
Was it June 1994 when I remember moving to Charlotte? Seems as though we lost the contract with First Savings Bank in April 1994 and then we got another one with another bank in Charlotte a short time later. Maybe this has some reflection about the Clinton adminstration taking over and some uncertainty whether my command would remain active, what ever it was we were doing.

[When I just read something Bill Clinton read about not wanting to "pile on" to Cheney's shooting incident, I remembered this. The day I went back to Microsoft to ask for my job back, he was at this Costco, which I could see from the window at my cube. I thought that was quite the coincidence, and I hoped it was a good sign, albeit something extraordinary that defied my logic. I remember now too that it was on the other side of the street from that Costco where I went face first into the concrete after my bike slipped on a slick bridge. I had a black eye for a week. I still remember the date for some reason: Feb 1, 2002. I think I remembered it because I had another accident on Dec. 23, 2001, when I was biking around Lake Washington. At the 30 mile point of that 60 mile trip, I hit a patch of ice and went down hard and fast. One minute I was riding along, the next minute I was looking at my feet as I went sliding across the road. Damn that hurt. I dislocated my shoulder because my elbow hit first or right about the same time as my knee. I could barely raise my arm if at all for weeks after that. It was pretty uncomfortable riding the remaining 30 miles back home. And the whole way there and for a time afterwards, I could almost hear something, it was unusal, the way you can feel like there is something on your tongue as that saying goes, but with this, I could almost hear a "thud" sound for a while after, the sound of me hitting the ground.

School bus driver fired after flipping off president wants job back

SEATTLE — A school bus driver fired after she reportedly made an obscene gesture at President Bush has filed a union grievance in an attempt to get her job back.
The 43-year-old driver, whose name was not released, was driving middle school children back to school after a zoo visit on June 16 when the president and Republican Rep. Dave Reichert drove slowly by in a motorcade.
From the bus, the children waved; with the windows down in their car, Bush and Reichert waved back.
That’s when the driver gave the president the finger, according to Reichert and Issaquah superintendent Janet Barry.
“The congressman hadn’t seen it, but the president turned to him and said, ‘That one’s not a fan,”’ said Reichert spokeswoman Kimberly Cadena.
Reichert later called Barry to tell her about the incident, but the bus driver had already been fired. District officials learned about the incident after the driver boasted to colleagues about it, Cadena said.
District spokeswoman Sara Niegowski said the driver has filed a wrongful termination grievance through the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. The union did not return calls seeking comment.
Niegowski said the firing was not politically motivated.
“The bus driver was not terminated for making an obscene gesture at the president. The bus driver was terminated for making an obscene gesture in view of the students,” Niegowski said. “That’s not the role modeling we need for our students.”

Dear Senator Murray,
I am writing to you again because my situation continues to deteriorate. The reason I am telling you all this is because I am a law-abiding citizen as well as a U.S. military combat veteran and I request assistance from the government since I am up against an unknown foe. I am not expecting special treatment due to my military service record but I mention it because I believe it demonstrates my commitment to the ideals of the United States of America. Those very ideals are not being respected by my adversaries. I choose to label the unknown forces behind this situation as adversaries, enemies even, because they will not stand up and identify themselves and meet me face to face.
I was concerned for a while that it was the U.S. government behind all this, but after carefully reviewing the circumstances and the evidence I have collected, I concluded that it must not be the government. Unless someone in the government is engaged in a cover up to protect themselves from justice and the penalties for their actions.
Another theory that has gained weight as I gather evidence is that I have a gay stalker. There several reasons I suspect that is the case and I think it started when I was at Microsoft. An overt example was when my manager, Kirk Tavener, showed me a pornographic video with a guy asking for sexual favors. The video was shown to me immediately following my request for an increase in compensation. The HR department and other management did nothing about it and I even had to continue reporting to him and meeting with him in private for several weeks afterward. My greatest mistake, I guess now in hindsight is that I did not file a complaint with outside authority. I did not want to believe that something like that could happen at Microsoft and especially to me.
As I have tried to figure this out, I have been baffled as to why not one person has stood up and spoke up. I believe there are many, many people that are tuned in to this situation and are following along. Then it dawned on me the other day: my adversary in this situation is someone with a lot of power and/or money. These adversaries know that if they are identified as the cause of this situation, I will have no problem finding an attorney to work on contingency. As it is now, I have no access to the legal system. I can’t even pay the filing fees to file a lawsuit on my own and stumble around on my own through the court system. I’m probably better off not taking that route though because I would probably just mess up my case by making some basic procedural errors that any first year law student could take advantage of. I would lose not on the issues, but because I do not know how to work the system.
So I started thinking about who could possibly be the stalker. This situation feels familiar to me because I experienced something similar at another company about ten years ago. I was working for a company named Universal Financial Products, based in Elmhurst, Illinois. I worked in a field office in Greenville, South Carolina. We had a support contract with a local company and I had a lot of friends with the customer. I grew to suspect that my manager was spreading gossip about me to the people we worked with. Later he revealed that he was gay and that he had been trying to cover it up. I suspect that he was trying to get my friends to talk me into being gay.
So at Microsoft, I was seeing people gossiping about my sexuality too. There is no question that I am heterosexual, but I have grown familiar over time how gay stalkers operate and this has all the signs of that sort of situation. But something else has been bothering me for a while about all this. Why is this so big? Why do I see so many people out in the world that know who I am? That just doesn’t add up. If it was just my manager doing this, then why would there be so much attention to it? He is nobody. He is not someone that would cause people to be shocked to learn that he is a closet gay because no one would care. His wife would probably care, but not all these other people that seem to follow this like they would a tabloid story. And so it dawned on me that it must be someone else that is very well known. I am growing increasingly concerned that it is someone like Bill Gates, if not him. I haven’t heard any rumors that he is secretly gay but then I do tend to stay away from gossipy people and I am usually out of the loop on such matters.
So then I started looking at it from that angle. It could have all started back in 2000 when I sent an email to his office. That may have put me on his radar screen, so to speak. I was an ambitious person anyway so I probably was just adding fuel to it all by capturing people’s attention.
Eventually I quit my job at Microsoft and moved away to another town to get away from it all. I was really getting creeped out by all of it. But then, after I arrived in Spokane, where I planned to start over again, I realized it was all still happening. People were still reading my personal emails and hacking into my computer. Then I realized that people were following me on the road. I could not go into any store or go any place without realizing that people there knew who I was. I would go through the drive-thru at a fast food place and I could tell they knew who I was. It is maddening. Even now, as I draft this letter and collect my thoughts, people are reading the draft versions through interception by hacking my computer. I know they are doing it.
But back then, through all of it, I just knew it could not continue forever. Even people with the empathy of a sociopath would realize eventually that this is an unsettling experience. But it continues and shows no sign of stopping. So that means several things. One is that it supports my theory that my adversaries have unlimited resources. Someone like Bill Gates. He could spend a billion dollars on lawyers just because he wanted to. If he thinks he has the right to treat his employees like animals, then I believe he would indeed spend a billion dollars to fight this just because he can. During my first days of employment at Microsoft, my manager was telling me about how Bill Gates would date people in the company. I haven’t heard any rumors that he is secretly gay and I got the impression she was talking about him dating women, but then again I have heard closeted homosexuals refer to men as women, just to avoid revealing their preference. So maybe he was preying on Microsoft employees all along but no one wanted to risk losing their job by talking about it openly.
And then it seemed highly suspect when Mayor Jim West of Spokane was outed as a closet homosexual. I suspect that it is how all this followed me to Spokane last year. I have been trying to figure out how all these people could know who I am and what means of communication they are using. If I have a gay stalker, they are all secretly communicating through some channel that gays use for communication. The internet makes all this possible now for anyone anywhere to communicate easily and generally privately. I was thinking that everyone knew that everyone else knew how people knew about this, but then I began to suspect that it was all being spread around by rumors and on different websites. Where I was thinking there was a central organization controlling it all, it was actually some kind of grass roots effort or some kind of internet phenomenon. And then I was seeing signs that even George W. Bush knew who I was.
I got that impression one day when I was in Spokane. I was watching CNN or something one day and I saw Bush making some comments about something. I commented out loud to myself that he looked terrified or something like that. For a while after that, the reporters were talking about how his press conferences were not going to be televised. I suspect, strongly, that I have been secretly monitored in the places I live and they have been listening to every sound I make. For some reason, Bush has an interest in what I say to myself and when I commented about him looking scared they decided he shouldn’t be seen for awhile until he could get control of himself. They wouldn’t want to embolden the terrorists by showing that he was getting rattled by it all. So maybe it isn’t the government that has been spying on me, it is some kind of stalker that is reporting the information they collect to websites. And maybe Bush knows who I am because he is tied into those gay websites too like Jim West and that is how he knows about me. I have some other evidence to support my theory, but needless to say he isn’t going to risk being outed like West was. They will probably end up secretly murdering me before that happens.
I know that people that talk about stuff like this are usually labeled as delusional crackpots or worse, but I believe strongly that all this is really happening to me. And just because a story sounds crazy doesn’t mean it isn’t really happening. There are people out there that can corroborate what I am saying; they are just too scared to speak up.

George Edward Stanhope Molyneux Herbert, 5th earl of Carnarvon, (born June 26, 1866, Highclere Castle, Berkshire, Eng.—died April 5, 1923, Cairo) British Egyptologist who was the patron and associate of archaeologist Howard Carter in the discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamen.
Carnarvon was educated at Eton and at Trinity College, Cambridge. He began excavations in Thebes in 1906, but, as an amateur, he soon felt the need of expert advice and sought the help of Carter, a former official of the Egyptian government’s antiquities department. Their collaboration began in 1907, when Carter agreed to supervise excavations for Carnarvon. They published an account of their work, which included discoveries of tombs of the 12th and 18th dynasties, in 1912: Five Years’ Exploration at Thebes.
Excavations resumed after World War I, and on Nov. 4, 1922, Carter unearthed the tomb of Tutankhamen in the Valley of the Tombs of Kings. On Feb. 16–17, 1923, the sepulchral chamber was opened, the actual sarcophagus being discovered on Jan. 3, 1924. Carnarvon died in a Cairo hospital from infections and complications that arose after he was bitten by a mosquito while in Thebes to visit the just-opened burial chamber of the tomb.

SEATTLE (AP) — Rep. Dave Reichert, R-Wash., bragged at a Republican Party picnic last summer that the day after a school bus driver flipped off President Bush, he called the district's superintendent, leaving picnic-goers with the impression that he was responsible for getting the driver fired.
That differs from a version of the story told by Issaquah School District officials and Reichert's staff this week: That Reichert didn't speak to the superintendent for weeks, and that by the time he did, the bus driver had already been fired. His press secretary said Friday the discrepancy was "not a big deal" and that at the picnic Reichert was just telling a story, not trying to reconstruct the timeline exactly.
The bus driver, a 43-year-old single mother, was bringing a busload of middle-school children back from the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle on June 16 when the president and Reichert drove slowly by in a motorcade on their way to a fundraiser. From the bus, stopped on an onramp to Interstate 5, the children waved; with the windows down in their car, Bush and Reichert waved back.
According to an audio recording of the event released by the state Democratic Party on Friday, Reichert gave the following account in a speech at the King County Republican Picnic on Aug. 12:
"And as the motorcade went by, the president and I drove by on I-5, the president was having a great time. He was waving at everybody, he waved at the kids. He got the biggest kick out of the kids leaning out the window to say hello to the president of the United States.
"The sad part of it is though, we got to the last bus — and I won't tell you which school district this was — the bus driver flipped the president off."
The audience groaned.
"So the very next day, you know what I did? I called the superintendent of that school district and that bus driver no longer works for that school," Reichert, a former King County sheriff, said to applause. "That's the old sheriff part of me still around."
Reichert, a freshman congressman who is in a tight re-election campaign against Democrat Darcy Burner, has used the anecdote on the campaign trail to illustrate there's a proper way and an improper way to disagree with the president. One can disagree with president while still showing respect to the office, he says.
In speaking with reporters this week for stories about the bus driver, who has filed a union grievance to get her job back, Reichert press secretary Kimberly Cadena said that Reichert didn't see the obscene gesture, but was told about it by Bush. Reichert mulled the incident over for a week before calling and leaving a message for Issaquah School District Superintendent Janet Barry.
Reichert and Barry then played "phone tag" for some time — a few weeks — and when they finally connected to discuss the matter, the bus driver had already been fired, Cadena said. The school district learned of the incident because the driver had bragged about it to her colleagues, not because Reichert reported it, she said.
At the picnic, "he was informally telling a story," Cadena said Friday. "He wasn't trying to detail the exact circumstances. Then this week, when you called, he said, let's go back and make sure we get this right."
School district spokeswoman Sara Niegowski said Friday that the bus driver was fired in early September — after Reichert's speech on Aug. 12 — but that the process of terminating her began the day of the incident.
Niegowski also said the firing was not about who the driver flipped off, but because she made the gesture in front of students.
Chris Dugovich, president of Council 2 of the Washington State Council of County and City Employees, disputed that Friday. No children saw the driver's gesture because she held her hand high out the window while the children were all looking at the president, he said. He added that when the district fired the woman in September, officials cited "a presidential aide" as the source of the complaint.
"She did this in a manner in which the kids clearly would not see it," Dugovich said. "She also apologized immediately to the school district. In 25 years I can't recall an instance where that type of incident would warrant that type of penalty."
Contrary to the superintendent's assertion that the incident was "part of a pattern of behavior with this particular bus driver," Dugovich said, "There is nothing in this lady's employment record that would lead anybody to believe this was part of a pattern."
The only reprimands the woman had received related to her status as a single working mother, he said — "being late to work, that sort of thing."
Neither the Issaquah district nor the union released the driver's name but the King County Journal identified her as Staci LaManna of Renton. The Journal reported Saturday that she was hired by the Renton School District as a substitute bus driver about three weeks after she was fired in Issaquah.
She works only when needed, but that has been frequently, said Randy Matheson, a Renton School District spokesman who added that the woman told the Renton district why she had been fired by the Issaquah district.
Renton district officials verified that she was a safe driver and also talked to her about appropriate behavior for bus drivers, Matheson said.
"Our intent is to continue using her as a substitute bus driver," he said.

The trial of the decade — against former party heavyweight, Bo Xilai – has become a disaster for the new Chinese leadership. The charismatic Bo’s forceful assertions of innocence against charges of petty corruption and misuse of office have enlivened his supporters and made his accusers look weak and petty.
Joseph Stalin mastered the political show trial. His first, against sixteen of Lenin’s deputies and Trotsky allies, lasted five days. His second, against seventeen party officials, lasted a week. The third, against the twenty-one members of the “Bloc of Rightists and Trotskyites,” lasted almost two weeks in the presence of invited diplomats and journalists.
Stalin orchestrated his show trials as carefully staged rituals. In each, the defendants’ confessions were extracted well before the trial. They dutifully confessed in public court to horrendous crimes of murder, espionage, and treason. Official newsreels showed the repentant traitors begging for mercy. With few exceptions the defendants received the death penalty and were shot within a day or two of the trial. The Soviet press condemned the “mad dogs” in incessant drumbeats of vitriol. Factory workers organized “spontaneous” meetings to demand the supreme penalty. Confused diplomats and journalists, many of whom did not understand Russian, sat in the court room as interpreters whispered in their ears. They concluded that the show trials had exposed real plots against a Soviet Union, which had narrowly averted overthrow by sinister forces from within and without. What a success for Mr. Stalin!

MOSCOW, Idaho --- Students are not the only ones going back to school. Police officers in Moscow are riding school buses to catch other drivers texting.
Officers from Moscow Police Department made more than 120 traffic stops after loading up a borrowed bus from Moscow School District with five officers and driving around town looking for distracted drivers.
"We needed a less obvious method of patrolling the area," said Jay Waters, a MPD officer. “Crashes are going up due to inattentive driving.”
Giving out tickets to drivers on their phones is not as easy as people think. Police cannot give someone a ticket if they cannot physically see the cell phone in the person’s hands.
Riding in school buses allows officers to see directly in to your car, giving them a better line of vision.
"There were so many [traffic stops] each day, we just didn't have enough officers," said Waters.
The drivers that were ticketed during the undercover operation were fined $81. Officers said they even caught a drunk driver.
Waters said even though their cover might be blown on the stealthy school bus operation, that is not necessarily a bad thing.
"You should be extra cautious around school buses to begin with," said Waters. "Which I think is a good idea anyways, because those are our kids."
