My thoughts increasingly return to "The Peripheral" by William Gibson and season 1 of that Amazon Prime streaming-video serial I liked so much.
Chole Grace Morentz seems to have confirmed my observations about Zelex and that was clearly evident when I noticed a new product that I was surprised to read is created from her face. I see it still on rosemarydoll dot com, under the brandname 'Orange in', but I can't remember where I read that it's supposed to be her. Did I dream that detail? I don't think so. Confident I read it while waking.
Back to the point of this note
My thoughts continue to dwell on the possibility established by William Gibson in his novel
BECAUSE of the real-world implications - established here by me in prior blog-posts - associated with my original-work code-pattern, I cannot help but think these stories of fiction are created - sometimes - to inform us of some grand truth we would not accept otherwise
Gibson's "stubs" make me think of this present reality being a "stub" of some other reality.
They had season 2 cancelled here in our "stub" because it explains too much
All of us affected as *I* am directly affected are being manipulated by our counterparts in the original reality
Are they trying to keep us - *this* reality - aligned with their original reality? Or steering us in a different direction?
Why would *I* seem to remember - vaguely - fantastic details that never happened to me? Because it is only the details in my mind that make me look for this stuff. HAS NOT caused *me* to actually start "remembering" anything from actual experience

Own slip-ups often trip up killers

WASHINGTON - In 1985, police suspected Richard Ramirez of being the "Night Stalker," the man responsible for a string of nocturnal killings that terrorized Southern California in the mid-1980s. They knew his name, had found a partial fingerprint and had released his picture to the public.
But it wasn't old-fashioned, shoe-leather detective work that led police to capture Ramirez. He was nabbed and beaten by angry residents while trying to steal a car in East Los Angeles.
Sometimes, slip-ups trip up the killers.
Washington-area police hope a similar break will lead them to whoever is responsible for the sniper shootings that have killed eight people and injured two since Oct. 2. Police last night confirmed that a fatal shooting yesterday morning at a Virginia gas station was linked to the gunman.
Mike Rustigan, a San Francisco State University criminologist, said serial killers eventually make mistakes because the longer they get away with their crimes, the more invincible they feel.
"It's kind of like pride goeth before the fall," he said. "They get cocky. They get full of pride about how easy it is to beat the cops. The attitude, of course, is 'Catch me, if you can.' "
'It's the little things'
Criminals do stupid things, said Tod Burke, a Radford University criminal-justice professor.
"It's the little things that snowball that could be the case-breaker," he said.

MCCOY: Almost a symbiosis of some kind, a sort of joining.
KIRK: Exactly what I think. Not exactly like a pet owner speaking to a beloved animal, would you say?
MCCOY: No, it's more than that.
KIRK: Agreed. More like love.
(The Companion vanishes, so Kirk and McCoy go over to Cochrane.)

I also have these unexplained thoughts that I was a fighter pilot in the U.S. military, although I'm not sure which service, but I may have been in two different branches over time. I am also confused about thoughts that I may have been a helicopter pilot. What's next? A space shuttle pilot? Seems like a lot for someone that is only 40. And, while I am not sure when this divergence happened, I am reasonably certain it was before I turned 33. So I must have been a pretty busy guy. This sounds very interesting. In my memory of taking Physics my Senior year at Ashdown, I remember being very interested in the class, but we didn’t cover such an interesting topic.

I actually do remember... something... I can’t explain it. It feels that I am holding an unmarked, undistinguishable book that I don’t know the name of or the contents but I know I have read it already.

A few minutes ago I started thinking that maybe I started at Princeton University in 1972. I would have been 13 at the time as Thomas Ray. I remember that Kerry Burgess started first grade in 1972. But then I decided that I probably started Princeton earlier than 1972 and maybe 1972 was the year I completed my first major degree. Or 1972 doesn’t really mean anything in particular to Thomas Ray; rather it is there for continuity sake for the life of Kerry Burgess.

I saw myself going through an induction process in the United States Marine Corps and I woke up understanding that I was dreaming of my actual experience in 1990. I saw a document that indicated I was being inducted to the United States Marine Corps with the officer grade of Chief Warrant Officer 2.
