I guess that very bright celestial object in the sky to the west or northwest is the planet Venus. I guess it could be the planet Mars but I keep thinking it the planet Venus.
When I first saw it, I thought maybe it was an aircraft in the distance approaching directly towards me with its landing lights on but it has not changed position since I first saw it when I was walking to the grocery store in the past hour.
Then I thought that maybe it was a star and the very thin cloud layer was scattering the light around its edges. There was a very thin cloud layer scattering the light around the edges of the very bright full moon to the east or southeast although terrain features of the Moon were still visible.
If it was a very bright star, I feel certain I would still be able to see other stars in the sky but I did not. So I guess it is the planet Venus.

The planet Mars, according to Solar System Live, is almost directly on the other side of the Sun at 2.4 AU distance so that wouldn't be it.
The planet Venus is about 0.721 AU so that could be it. That planet Saturn is in a position that makes me wonder if that is it although I cannot remember if it is even possible to see Saturn that bright in the sky from Earth. The planet Jupiter is directly on the other side of the Sun with almost the planet Mars in alignment with the Sun and the Earth.

The planet Venus is called the Morning Star and the Evening Star because it is very bright in the sky. I wonder if it is normally still this bright in the sky almost 3 hours after sunset. I guess so. It is in a position to remain bright for a while. After I went outside again a few minutes ago, I saw stars in the sky but they are nothing compared to that one object. It dims at times due to the scattered clouds but when the sky is clear, it is noticably brighter than any of the aircraft I saw flying nearby.

It was also farther south than I originally thought as I considered its position relative to the Olympic Mountain range, of which it was south of the sky from that range. To me, it seems to be just about the area of Alki in West Seattle.

I cannot remember the last time I ever saw it so bright in the sky. It's possible to miss it if you're not looking for it and because there would only be certain times it is that bright, I guess, but it seems I should remember seeing it more often than just noticing it today.

That maintenance worker for this building said something to me earlier in the elevator as I was going to do my laundry that Paris Hilton must always be seen smiling because she never has to do her own laundry.
A short while ago, as I was trying to fall asleep for a nap, which I just now gave up on trying to fall asleep, I remembered a dream I had just before waking up this morning about being in some kind of underground facility and I was restrained by two people and they were going to put me into a washing machine. At some point, after waking up, I guess, I pondered briefly over how that person in the dream, that I represented, was actually that maintainence worker. So anyway, I had been fighting earlier with those two guys and the point with the washing machine seemed to be a point where they had subdued me and was looking for some place to further restrain me so, I guess, I could not get away. There had been several other scenes before in that dream but I cannot articulate any of those earlier scenes in a fashion that is relevant to this part of the dream. One scene I do remember well enough to describe to a certain degree is that at some point, I also seemed to exist in the form of some kind of unmanned surveillance drone that was hovering around in that facility and I was looking at the scenery of that facility from the perspective of that drone. I saw myself hover up through a rough hole in the top of that facility that looked more similar to a hole in the ground than anything else and that suggests to me that facility was underground. I remember also from the dream that there was a nuclear bomb next to that hole and I remember something about how I was, in my physical body form, supposed to escape through that hole, that was the roof of that underground facility, and then the nuclear bomb was going to collapse that hole so that the people chasing me could not escape and would be trapped in that underground facility. So then in the dream, I was back in that area with the two guys I had been fighting and I commented that I would drown if they put me into that washing machine. I have pondered over that washing machine several times since I have been awake especially because I could visualize it well and it was actually a rectangular structure instead of a round structure as you would expect from a washing machine. It seems important to note that I am not recording the actual sequence of how these thoughts and notion developed in my mind today after I have been awake from the dream, and I think the final notions developed in my mind as I was trying to fall asleep again, but I arrived at the notion that I was actually dreaming of a torpedo tube that a nuclear-equipped Tomahawk missile was being loaded into. The reason I saw it as a rectangular structure, I assume, is because Tomahawk are transported in rectangular containers and Tomahawks are also fired from rectangular containers when those missiles are external-mounted, similar to Harpoon missiles. But the distinction with Harpoons are that, as far as I know, Harpoons have no nuclear capabilities and Harpoons are always in round canisters, which could confuse me into thinking I saw a Harpoon being loaded into a round torpedo tube, which is possible, but I was not supposed to assume that I saw a Harpoon being loaded into a torpedo tube because Harpoons are not nuclear-capable. The reason I made the commented about drowning is because the torpedo tube floods with the outside ocean water when the torpedo tube doors are opened which has to happen because the ordnance in the torpedo tube can be fired from the torpedo tube.

John Mauchly, in full John William Mauchly, also called John W. Mauchly, (born August 30, 1907, Cincinnati, Ohio, U.S.—died January 8, 1980, Ambler, Pennsylvania), American physicist and engineer, coinventor in 1946, with John P. Eckert, of the Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC), the first general-purpose electronic computer.
After completing his education, Mauchly entered the teaching profession, eventually becoming an associate professor of electrical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. During World War II Mauchly and Eckert, a graduate engineer, were asked to devise ways to accelerate the recomputation of artillery firing tables for the U.S. Army. They accordingly proposed the construction of a general-purpose digital computer that would handle data in coded form, and by 1946 they completed the ENIAC, a huge machine (containing more than 18,000 vacuum tubes) that incorporated features developed by J.V. Atanasoff. The ENIAC was first used by the U.S. Army at its Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland in 1947 for ballistics tests.
The following year Mauchly and Eckert formed a computer-manufacturing firm, and in 1949 they announced the Binary Automatic Computer (BINAC), which used magnetic tape instead of punched cards. In 1950 the Eckert–Mauchly Computer Corporation was acquired by Remington Rand, Inc. (later Sperry Rand Corporation), Mauchly becoming director of special projects. The third computer after BINAC was UNIVAC I, specially designed to handle business data. Mauchly continued his work in the computer field, winning many honours. Episode Summary
The System Lord Apophis launches an attack through the Stargate, tucked away by the military after the events of the movie, and the SGC program is reactivated and given a new objective - seek out and find the alien invaders and defeat them. Jack O'Neill is called out of retirement and sent to locate Daniel Jackson on Abydos.

O'NEILL: A little piece of advice, Major? Get re-assed to NASA. That's where all the action's gonna be. (Brief shot of O'Neill's POV, at the cluster of stars in the scope.) Out there.
SAMUELS: I'm under orders to bring you to General Hammond, sir.
O'NEILL: Never heard of him.
SAMUELS: He replaced General West. He says it's important. Has to do with the Stargate.
Hearing that, O'Neill finally turns away from the telescope.
Same evening. The car passes through a military gate, heavily guarded by soldiers, heading down into a tunnel cut into the side of the mountain - the entrance to the Cheyenne Mountain Complex. Cut to a shot of an elevator shaft, then the interior of the elevator, where O'Neill and another officer are standing. O'Neill notices how deep they're descending - the elevator goes all the way down to Sub-Level 11.
The elevator doors slide open, and O'Neill follows the officer down the corridors, looking around curiously.
INTERCOM: Red team number 9 to Sub-Level 2, red shaft 24.
They stop at a security checkpoint, and O'Neill signs in on a clipboard. The officer leads him to another elevator.
OFFICER: We have to take a second elevator the rest of the way, sir. It's a long way down.
O'Neill hands the clipboard back as the officer opens the elevator, and they step inside.
O'NEILL: I've been here before.
OFFICER: Ah. Of course.
