Senator Wyndom Brody: She was here. I saw her. I - I talked to her.

Jon Tarkman: Nobody is denying that you saw something, Senator.

Secret Service Agent Frank McKenna: So'd you talk to her?

Senator Wyndom Brody: I may have said something.

Secret Service Agent Frank McKenna: Did she say anything back?

Senator Wyndom Brody: I - I don't recall.

Jon Tarkman: Well, you know what? Perfectly understandable. The Senator here has been surviving on, like, two hours sleep tops, right, like the past week or so. You know, it's been, you know, one hell of a drill, right? I mean, I - I'm surprised to be honest that the guy is not seeing, you know, green elephants drinking banana daiquiris, okay?

Will Sunderland: Senator. Would now be a good time for our little chat?

Senator Wyndom Brody: Yes, Will. Come on.

Will Sunderland: Thank you. I thought you were ducking me.

Senator Wyndom Brody: [scoffs]

Will Sunderland: You know, one of the things I wanted to ask you about, Senator is, uh, well, that old phrase "a man of the people."

Senator Wyndom Brody: Hm.

Will Sunderland: It really does seem to apply to you. But at the same time you've been embracing the Silicon Valley and in fact the entire high-tech industry. What I'm wondering - are the two really compatible?

Senator Wyndom Brody: Technology is integral to our country's future and well-being. It's what's driving this economy and it is the very foundation of future growth.

Will Sunderland: You've come quite the Internet zealot of late.

Senator Wyndom Brody: Well, the online environment is the only world that I know where we can all truly come together as equals.

Will Sunderland: What about issues of privacy?

Senator Wyndom Brody: Off the record? Just between you and me?

Will Sunderland: All right.

Senator Wyndom Brody: There is no privacy anymore.

The Stranger: Not to be morbid, Senator, but when they find your body you're completely decapitated. So what are you going to do about it?

Will Sunderland: What are you looking at?

Senator Wyndom Brody: What? Uh, nothing. Not a thing. What were we talking about?

Will Sunderland: Do you really think that people - ordinary citizens as you like to call them - won't be concerned about their loss of privacy?

Senator Wyndom Brody: Ordinary citizens have nothing to hide.

Will Sunderland: Really?

Pilot: Ladies and gentlemen, we are making our final approach into Columbia Metro airport. Please take your seats and fasten your seatbelts. We should be on the ground in approximately six minutes.

The Stranger: When the plane crash-lands short of the runway you will be killed. Your legacy will be destroyed.

Senator Wyndom Brody: Michael, I - I think we need to rethink some of this.

The Stranger: If you are going to save yourself you must act now!

Senator Wyndom Brody: Individuals are important. One person can make a difference. But individuals do not take precedence over the common good. See, the people - the people need to know that we are all in this together.

The Stranger: What the public needs is you, Mr. President. Your country needs you. The future depends on you.

Senator Wyndom Brody: Unfortunately, people don't want to make a sacrifice anymore!

The Stranger: I can't understand you, Senator.

Senator Wyndom Brody: There's, uh, there's a price to be paid. A price to be paid for anything that we do.
