My artificial memories and identity are definitely faded almost to.....something I don't know how to describe. I can't articulate what I want to say. I am still consciously aware of details about my artificial identity, but it is more like I remember it all from a book I read, or something like that. I read the story and visualized the details and my "memory" is actually only my visualization of those details and that is the basis of my artificial memory. I wonder if something happened today, somehow, that allowed me to consciously pursue this train of thought. I noted something similar quite a few months ago related to dream influences. That was kind of a dead-end, in itself, but it seemed to have been a.....something. It was later I started to think I had been brainwashed but then I shifted away from brainwashing to this notion of artificial memory. It seems to be an important distinction. I also understand that when I was writing about feeling as though my dreams were being manipulated somehow - what I described as 'foreign dreams' - was all before I became consciously aware that I might have some form of amnesia. It is very clear to me now that certain topics I see on television or other media will seem to unlock those notions and restore them to my conscious awareness.
My dreams were not being manipulated by some outside force, I was just having dreams about my real life and that was all foreign to my conscious mind. That is the essence of amnesia. I also note that I wake up sometimes to hear myself calling out Phoebe's name in my sleep and I can't remember what it was I was dreaming that prompted me to call out her name.

I have that artificial and symbolic memory of me in a football jersey when I was about that same age as "Brian" and I had very blonde hair. Went to Camp Couchdale in the summer of '81, after graduating 9th grade.
Met a girl named Phoebe, took her out on the lake in a boat and paddled around. We wrote letters for a long time afterwards.
