070823-N-3271W-001 INDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 23, 2007) - The Honorable Becky Skillman, Lt. Governor of Indiana, presents a certificate declaring the Blue Angels as Honorary Hoosiers. The presentation was given in conjunction with festivities of Indianapolis Navy Week, one of 26 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2007. Navy Week is designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence. I was thinking a while back that these are also a type of brad, or brass fasteners, that I was referring to earlier:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Service_stars

A service star, also referred to as a battle star, campaign star, or engagement star, is an attachment to a military decoration which denotes participation in military campaigns or multiple bestowals of the same award. Service stars are typically issued for campaign medals, service medals, ribbon awards, and certain military badges. Service stars are different from award stars, which are issued for multiple awards of meritorious and combat decorations.

The United States military issues bronze, silver, and gold service stars, with a silver service star issued “in lieu” of five bronze.

Use as a Campaign star: For instance, six campaigns, served on a campaign medal, would be annotated by one silver and one bronze service star. In some situations (e.g., the Southwest Asia Service Medal, which is a campaign medal/ribbon), each recipient is entitled to at least one campaign star. Thus, a Southwest Asia Service Medal without at least one bronze star would be inappopriate.

Use as a Service star: For instance, three awards of a Sea Service Ribbon would be annotated by the ribbon with two bronze service stars. In some situations, service stars are only issued after the second award of a decoration.

The United States Army also occasionally issues award numerals or oak leaf clusters, instead of service stars, to denote multiple awards of certain ribbon decorations. In addition to award numerals, the United States Army uses the same Gold award star that is worn on many Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard decorations to denote the tenth and final award of the Army Sea Duty Ribbon.

Service stars issued for actions in which a United States Navy vessel participated are also placed on campaign streamers, which are affixed to the U.S. Navy flag. The regulations for this originated in 1942, which defined naval campaign areas and designated engagements. Participation in such engagements, by ships and by individuals, was then denoted by service stars. The United States Army followed a very similar practice with ground campaigns and battle engagements.

A common point of confusion is to confuse bronze and silver service stars with the Silver Star and Bronze Star Medal. The main difference between the two is that the Bronze and Silver Star Medals are individual decorations while service stars are worn on awards and are not individual decorations or medals.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Award_stars

An award star is a decoration issued by the United States military in lieu of multiple awards of the same award, for example, a second and subsequent Legion of Merit.[1] Award stars are commonly issued to personnel of the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. An award star is very similar to an oak leaf cluster, which serves the same purpose. Award stars are sometimes referred to as Gold Stars and Silver Stars (not to be confused with the Silver Star Medal).

Award stars are issued in two degrees, gold and silver, with silver considered the higher degree as is the tradition in the U.S. military. An award star is issued in lieu of multiple awards of the same decoration with the first award star issued for the second award of the decoration. For instance, if a service member received three Achievement Medals, their service record would reflect the Achievement Medal with two gold award stars.

Silver award stars are issued in lieu of five gold, meaning that a silver star is provided for the 6th, 11th, 16th and so on, for subsequent awards of a decoration. There are no higher degrees of award stars authorized in lieu of five silver award stars.

It is a common misunderstanding to mistake the silver award star for the Silver Star medal, which is an entirely different decoration.

Award stars are only issued for individual medals which are awarded for combat or meritorious actions. They are not issued for service medals, which receive service stars.

That would mean for the 6th award of certain medals, you would wear the silver award star instead of 4 bronze award stars for 5 of the medals.

Not more than one medal of honor, Navy cross, distinguished-service medal, silver star medal, distinguished flying cross, or Navy and Marine Corps Medal may be awarded to a person. However, for each succeeding act or service that would otherwise justify the award of such a medal or cross, the President may award a suitable bar, emblem, or insignia to be worn with the decoration and corresponding rosette or other device.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brass_fasteners

A brass fastener, "brad", or split pin is a stationery item used for securing multiple sheets of paper together.

The fastener is inserted into punched holes in the stack of paper and the leaves, or tines, of the legs are separated and bent over to secure the paper. This holds the pin in place and the sheets of paper together. For few sheets of paper, holes can be made using the sharp end of the fastener.

Brass fasteners are often used as modern scrapbooking embellishments. Brass fasteners are also used for door hardware.

It's curious how I can distinctly visualize sitting in the house of Thedia's friend in Mena, Arkansas, and watching this television show. One adult asked someone else what the name meant and I told him it stood for California Highway Patrol.

I recognize the date 11/28/1976 as when I launched from the Jupiter moon Callisto for my 4/14/1977 return to Earth.

"CHiPs" was an American television series produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios that aired on NBC from September 15, 1977 to July 17, 1983. Originally produced by MGM, it is distributed worldwide by Turner Program Services.

I've had several dreams where something was wrong with my chest, as though I had a broken bone in my chest, a broken rib in my upper chest. In my dream, I can feel something is definitely out of place, although I don't remember any pain in the dream. This all might explain why I have puzzled over something about an area on my right pectoral, something just doesn't seem right, as though there is something wrong with one of the ribs there. There is nothing painful associated with this area, rather something just seems out of place. In the dream though, the area that seems out of place in a slightly different place, but in the same general area. I have also had vague thoughts that it was something that happened when I was in deep space in 1976.

I'm thinking that the 1975 "Jaws" was about my mission to the comet. I also puzzle over why I have specific memories about that movie and time frame. I've been thinking for a while that I told Phoebe in 1975 that I was going on a similar expedition as Dreyfuss describes about the "Aurora." In the movie, he tells them that the "Aurora" expedition was 18 months and I probably had a similar cover story for my 15 month mission to the comet. I was by myself on that mission to the comet so the 3 characters on the boat probably represent certain details about me, assuming this all is relevant personally to me.

I'm getting the sense that the accomplices of the Microsoft-Corbis insurrection are acting out parts of that 1975 movie "Jaws." Something about that scene where the mayor says something about acting, as I was just watching the movie this morning on television, something seemed familiar, especially regarding comments I have seen in the media.

Phoebe and I could have been living a normal, free, American life all this time if I had not saved the world in 1976. Instead, we have been prisoners of the criminal conspiracy to pirate my identity. That's part of the reason I am so committed to this operation to catch the Microsoft-Corbis pirates, which means I cannot be consciously aware of my true identity, until certain conditions have been met. It is a by-the-book operation to prosecute that murderous mob that is pirating my identity. But it's not just about my identity. There is a systematic destruction in progress, by Microsoft-Corbis and criminal accomplices, of the American legal system to facilitate the hijacking of my identity. It is also the reason there is massive corruption in the FBI.

They have obviously caused a great deal of chaos or I wouldn't have had to be away from home for almost a decade. But that is the purpose of the infiltrators of our government by such traitors as George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Robert Mueller, Dave Reichert: to cause as much chaos as possible and to get as many Americans killed as possible.

You people walked right into the trap they set for us in Iraq. Those of you listening heard my warning back in 2003, along with my other warnings.
