The Hunt for Red October
1:09:02
Yankee One, declaring an emergency.
1:09:08
Yankee One, vector 270.
Speed is buster, over.
1:09:14
Say again, Yankee One.
1:09:17
A Bear Foxtrot got too close to the
group. He bumped one of our F-14s.
1:09:22
The plane's damaged.
They're trying to get him back aboard.
1:09:28
Busy morning.

The Hunt for Red October
1:10:32
- The water's too cold to eject.
- Try and bring him aboard.
1:10:36
- What's this sub off by herself?
- Bart Mancuso's boat.
1:10:41
He's at the bottom of Red Route One.
1:10:44
He's contracted what his computer calls
magma displacement.
1:10:48
Magma displacement
Is that like a seismic anomaly?
1:10:53
- I suppose so.
- Can you get me on board the Dallas?
1:10:58
- Mancuso found the Red October.
- He hasn't found anything.
1:11:04
This silent propulsion system
could be mistaken for...
1:11:08
The only way to get you out there
is by chopper.
1:11:12
We'd have to strip it down
into a flying gas can.
1:11:17
Yankee One is on final.
Rescue personnel are in place.

"*Stargazer* is a specially modified Lockheed Martin L-1011 TriStar jumbo jet that's based at Meadows Field in Bakersfield," stated Jim Spellman, executive director for the National Space Society's Western Spaceport Chapter in Kern, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo county.
"It was named by OSC team members in honor of the first 'starship' commanded by fictional character Captain Jean-Luc Picard from the *Star Trek: The Next Generation* television series," Spellman added. The aircraft serves as the "first stage" by carrying the Pegasus XL rocket up to its 40,000 foot release point over the Pacific Ocean near Vandenberg AFB in Santa Barbara county.
