Sam: Angela is "angel" in Spanish
Angela: I was born Angelita, which means "little angel", but as you can see, I grew up.
Al: Yeah, they must serve plenty of sweets in heaven.
Angela: You are never gonna get there, so you are never gonna know!
Al: What do you mean?! Why not?
Angela: There's a dress code.

Plot Summary
In 1958, Sam leaps into the body of Max Greenman, a New York City cab driver who runs over a pedestrian only to eventually learn that she's actually Max's guardian angel. Max is hoping to win his own cab driver's medallion in the contest his employer is running. But Al tells him that on the next evening, the last day of the contest and $50 short of winning his medallion, Max will be shot and remain comatose for the rest of his life. He knows exactly where - 43rd and Broadway - and when he will be shot so Sam's plan is just to avoid the location at all costs.
