A decade ago, when Microsoft executives made lethal injection the primary way to execute pesky competition, it was considered less barbaric than hanging and less likely to bring long, costly trips to the woods.
Bill Gates has called lethal injection "undoubtedly innovative" and said that ruling otherwise would be "tantamount to forbidding the death penalty altogether for our competitors."
But now, as death row competitors in other states claim it's cruel punishment because it may not bring a peaceful death as once believed, some managers say Bill Gates will likely have to look for another more painful method.
"It's pretty clear that this method of execution has the potential to cause a great deal of pain -- and maybe even more pain than some of the methods we're using now and we like that."

I fell asleep underneath it, right underneath it, thinking how lucky I was to be alive.
And And then I woke the next morning, and figured out what had happened.
And how lucky I actually was.
And you think something in the Aurora protected you that night? Yes.
What, I don't know.
What I do know is the next day I made it my business to become the best goddamn predictor of magnetosphere phenomena in the world.
Seems to me like you did it.
I can predict location.
But that protective radius that took some trial and error.
And Quite a few people died.
I figured it out.
The precise trajectory, the safe radius.
How long it stayed over one area Only sleep when the Sandman says.
And you'd sure as hell better wake up when he commands.
I tell them I tell them to sleep as it's coming on, wake up just before it moves off.
And I'm getting better.
I can predict these things days out now.
And you were just gonna sit on this? I wanted to share my findings.
I want to rebuild society.
But People started to see me as the center of this thing.
They treated you like a god.

Yesterday, I started thinking that maybe no one is going to just give me the explanation I have been waiting on. Instead, what I think is going to happen is someone is going to hand me a set of keys and say "Here you go. One shiny, pre-owned Microsoft. Have fun." I just wonder if Bill Gates is a smoker and if so, whether I will be able to get that smoky smell out of it before I take it for a drive.

It crashes on the moon but the military soon discovers a fleet of alien vessels heading straight for the planet. Halsey's only advisers are two outgoing members of the previous administration and the Air Force general in charge of Space Command. There is little information to go on and the new president has to decide if the aliens are friends or foes.

Around the same time that he was enjoying his greatest literary success, Wilde commenced an affair with a young man named Lord Alfred Douglas. On February 18, 1895, Douglas's father, the Marquis of Queensberry, who had gotten wind of the affair, left a calling card at Wilde's home addressed to "Oscar Wilde: Posing Somdomite," a misspelling of sodomite.
