This Is What I Think.

This series premiered 44 months, 12 days, before Phoebe's 18th birthday. That makes me think about how she and I are 4 years, 4 months, 13 days, apart in age. To produce that 4-4-1-3 combination, that first episode would have had to premiere on a Thursday, instead of the Friday premiere. I have pondered a lot over why I have such detailed artificial and symbolic memories about that television series. It might have been when it first starting coming on that I was angry at my mother that she took us on a road trip somewhere to visit somebody and I didn't get to watch an episode of the series. I can still visualize that very well, along with other details. When I consider the details, I would say that was 1977, as I remember we were living in Randy Romine's house. I could have sworn he was sitting next to me in that very depressing Downtown emergency homeless shelter a couple years ago. I noted that homeless shelter reminds me of that memory the "Reese" character had of returning to his base facility in the 1984 "The Terminator."

Nichelle Nichols (born Grace Nichols on December 28, 1932) is an American singer, actress, and voice actress. She sang with Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton before turning to acting. Her most famous role may be that of communications officer Lieutenant Uhura aboard the USS Enterprise in the popular Star Trek television series, as well as the succeeding motion picture spinoffs, where her character was eventually promoted in Starfleet to the rank of commander. In 2006, she added executive producer to her resume.

The actress who portrays "Nova" in the 1968 "Planet Of The Apes" was 33 years, 357 days, old on Phoebe's 16th birthday, which adds support to my theory about an arranged marriage. I assume I had creative input into the casting selection and I was trying to create a '33-359' artistic device with a woman that resembled my predictions of Phoebe's future appearance, based on her mother's appearance.

The term First Contact is also used to specifically refer to the first official contact between Humans and extraterrestrials. First Contact took place on the evening of April 5, 2063, when a Vulcan survey ship, the T'Plana-Hath, having detected the warp signature of the Phoenix, touched down in Bozeman, central Montana, where they met with the Phoenix's designer and pilot, Zefram Cochrane. This event is generally referred to as the defining moment in Human history, eventually paving the way for a unified world government and, later, the United Federation of Planets.

Launch: April 12, 1981
Landing: April 14, 1981

The first Space Shuttle mission, STS-1, was launched April 12, 1981, and returned April 14. Space Shuttle Columbia orbited the earth 36 times in this 54.5-hour mission. It was the first US manned space flight since the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project in July 15, 1975.

The first launch of the Space Shuttle occurred on April 12, 1981, when the orbiter Columbia, with two crew members, astronauts John W. Young, commander, and Robert L. Crippen, pilot, lifted off from Pad A, Launch Complex 39, at the Kennedy Space Center — the first of 24 launches from Pad A. It was exactly 7 a.m. EST. A launch attempt 2 days earlier was scrubbed because of a timing problem in one of the Columbia’s general purpose computers.

Not only was this the first launch of the Space Shuttle, but it marked the first time that solid fuel rockets were used for a U.S. manned launch. It was also the first U.S. manned space vehicle launched without an unmanned powered test flight. The STS-1 orbiter, Columbia, also holds the record for the amount of time spent in the Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF) before launch — 610 days, time needed for replacement of many of its heat shield tiles.

Primary mission objectives of the maiden flight were to check out the overall Shuttle system, accomplish a safe ascent into orbit and to return to Earth for a safe landing. All of these objectives were met successfully, and the Shuttle's worthiness as a space vehicle was verified.
