I had a dream last night that I was playing in a football game. I can only remember there were red jerseys on the players. The opposing teams were locked together on the line of scrimmage and I went around the scrimmage line where there were a lot of players clashed together but the line was fairly symmetrical, which isn't quite the description I am looking for here but it's close. So I went around the line of scrimmage and I made a touchdown. I didn't even have to catch the football; rather it was on the ground in front of me and I picked up or it was already waiting for me or something like that. Then I fired it back to the quarterback with great speed and accuracy and somebody said something after that, in a manner similar to what I used to write about as in foreign dreams. I can't remember now what it was that the person said but it might have been something about my passing skill. As in those foreign dreams, I never know who said that particular phrase.

Oliver North

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oliver Laurence North (born October 7, 1943) is an American political commentator and television host, military historian, New York Times best-selling author, and former United States Marine Corps lieutenant colonel.

North is primarily remembered for his term as a National Security Council staff member during the Iran–Contra affair, a political scandal of the late 1980s. The scandal involved the clandestine sale of weapons to Iran, supposedly to encourage the release of U.S. hostages then held in Lebanon. North formulated the second part of the plan, which was to divert proceeds from the arms sales to support the Contra rebel groups in Nicaragua, which had been specifically prohibited under the Boland Amendment.

Monica Lewinsky was 35 months, 9 days, old on 7/2/76. That's probably what got her that intern job.

She was also 8132 days old on Bill Gates 40th birthday. She was in there in the White House around the time I was in Microsoft. She probably made that whole story up and I suggested to Bill Clinton that he play along until we could get the big picture.

SCIUTTO: He worked on one of U.S. military's most sensitive intelligence missions. Supporting spy planes including the advance Poseidon aircraft, monitoring Asia, including China. Now, U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Edward Lin is accused of stealing classified information about that mission and attempting to transfer it most likely sources tell CNN to the People's Republic of China.

Lin was taken into custody eight months ago in Hawaii as he was boarding a flight to mainland China.

Retired Colonel Cedric Leighton, a former intelligence officer, says a member of Lin's reconnaissance group would have been an extremely knowledgeable source.

COL. CEDRIC LEIGHTON (RET.), CNN MILITARY ANALYST: You understand the capabilities of reconnaissance aircraft and they also understand the routes that those reconnaissance aircraft are flying. So, with that kind of information the Chinese or anybody else would be able to figure out not only when these airplanes are flying, but what those airplanes can see. What they can intercept.

SCIUTTO: In a highly redacted charge sheet, Lin is accused of espionage, attempted espionage and patronizing prostitution.

The Navy alleges he passed on, quote, "secret information to a representative of a foreign government."

LEIGHTON: You want to know what his contacts were in China. Why was he going there? Was this truly a pleasure trip or was it something else?

[18:55:01] My suspicion is that it was something else.

SCIUTTO: Sources tell CNN the investigation is in its early stages. Attempts to reach Lin who is being held in a brig in Virginia were unsuccessful.

Lin was born in Taiwan and came to the U.S. with his family when he was just 14. His journey from immigrant to mid-ranking naval officer was applauded by the Navy. Lin's Facebook post shows him joining a congressional delegation to the Mideast in 2012, a young scholars visit to Taiwan in 2011, and twice visiting mainland China where he posed for a picture in Tiananmen Square, and with Chinese soldiers and sailors.

Speaking at a citizenship ceremony in 2008, Lin said, quote, "I always dreamt about coming to America, the 'Promised Land'. I grew up believing that all the roads in America lead to Disneyland."

Though Lin has been in custody for eight months now, the U.S. military still deciding whether to proceed to a court martial, but they are, Wolf, taking this case and the potential fallout from this case very seriously.

Everybody's very happy about the Fort Detrick contract, and they say everything's paying off now, all your work.

Is that what they say?

I still haven't been able to, um...

Pass along your package.

It'd be a lot easier if I could do a drop.

Picture this... Some dog sniffing around or some little kid noses into your dead drop.

Legal experts see no criminal trouble for Clinton thus far

Aug 31, 5:29 PM (ET) [ Monday 31 August 2015 ]

By KEN DILANIAN

WASHINGTON (AP) — Experts in government secrecy law see almost no possibility of criminal action against Hillary Clinton or her top aides in connection with now-classified information sent over unsecure email while she was secretary of state, based on the public evidence thus far.

Some Republicans, including leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, have called Clinton's actions criminal and compared her situation to that of David Petraeus, the former CIA director who was prosecuted after giving top secret information to his paramour. Others have cited the case of another past CIA chief, John Deutch, who took highly classified material home.

But in both of those cases, no one disputed that the information was highly classified and in many cases top secret. Petraeus pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor; Deutch was pardoned by President Bill Clinton.

By contrast, there is no evidence of emails stored in Hillary Clinton's private server bearing classified markings. State Department officials say they don't believe that emails she sent or received included material classified at the time. And even if other government officials dispute that assertion, it is extremely difficult to prove anyone knowingly mishandled secrets.

"How can you be on notice if there are no markings?" said Leslie McAdoo, a lawyer who frequently handles security-clearance cases.

Clinton's critics have focused on the unusual, home-brew email server Clinton used while in office and suggested that she should have known that secrets were improperly coursing through an unsecure system, leaving them easily hackable for foreign intelligence agencies. But to prove a crime, the government would have to demonstrate that Clinton or aides knew they were mishandling the information — not that she should have known.

A case would be possible if material emerges that is so sensitive Clinton must have known it was highly classified, whether marked or not, McAdoo said. But no such email has surfaced. And among the thousands of documents made public, nothing appears near the magnitude of the Top Secret material Petraeus and Deutch mishandled.

Trump, last week, argued differently, saying Petraeus' case involved "far less important documents." Clinton's documents, he told Fox News, "were more highly secret, they were more important, there were more of them. It's really General Petraeus on steroids."
