This Is What I Think.

"Samantha! Did they say anything else? Anything?"
Unbelievable. I had to look it up again to find the location on the map. I had no conscious idea if those places were the same.
I remember the library but I had no conscious idea of the location just from looking at the map.
I wrote about that a while back but still that is just one place that doesn't register on my mind.
How long did I stay there? I can't recall. Couple weeks maybe. Maybe longer. I know they dropped me off there on 27 June 2005. That was the day United States Senator Patty Murray staged a new conference outside the Seattle VA hospital where I had been treated in the mental health unit since 16 June 2005.
I can still visualize myself in that library. I was still pretty doped up from the Seattle Veterans Affair's hospital in Seattle. I remember how comfortable was the library. That was better than the adjacent senior citizen's home they had me in before my first stint in Shoreline homeless veteran's center up north on Aurora. I stopped going into library though because my remaining few dollars were gone and I couldn't even afford to wash my clothes in the coin-operated machines in the Theodora. I was also getting sicker as documented later when I went to the VA emergency room. I can remember those long days sitting outside on a bench at the Theodora and I just knew something was going to happen. They had a large-screen television and I was obsessed with KOMO 4 television news because I just knew if I kept watching I was going to see something I knew was going to happen.

Gun Battle Outside the KPLU Strategy Meeting
I am still shaking a bit, but the meeting to discuss saving KPLU was interrupted, but not stopped, by massive gunfire outside of the Northeast Branch of the Seattle Public Library.
Everyone attending is fine.
The meeting was scheduled to start at 2 PM and I was walking down 35th Ave NE toward the library around 1:50 PM when several police cars whizzed by. I rushed into the library when there was the loud sound of a car collision. A few seconds later, there was a lot of gunfire...and it seemed VERY close. In fact, it was happening right outside the library. We were all pressed to the floor.

West Point
I had to look it up to find it again. I took the bus from there and I walked around the neighborhood sometimes but I had no idea where it was even located there inside the Seattle city limits. Man, that sure does take me back. Shuffling around those Seattle city streets around that place they had me living as a homeless shelter. I remember how important watching the television news was for me everyday. I remember the first few minutes I was in there after the VA hospital discharged me from the mental health unit on 27 June 2005 and I was still doped up by the psychiatrists and the way I remember it the social workers hurried me out a side door and they drove me in a car to The Theodora and in that first few minutes I walked into the television area and there are a lot of chairs there and the first thing I noted was a National Geographic magazine with the first space shuttle flight on the cover of the magazine from 1981.
I was there at The Theodora for a while and then they told me I could move to the Shoreline Homeless Veterans shelter and then they kicked me out to the Compass Center in downtown Seattle where I lived for 300 days and then the Shoreline homeless shelter let me back in but only if I agreed to take more VA hospital dope, which I did, and then I was there for a while and when I could finally choose a place to live on my own I moved to the Vermont Inn-Apartments in downtown Seattle near the Space Needle and I remember that on Christmas Day 2006 I was still in that homeless shelter in Shoreline but by New Years Eve 2006, just a few days later, I had already moved into the Vermont and I sat there on the roof-top deck and watched the spectacular fireworks from the Space Needle a couple blocks away.

Well, I finally gave up trying to find a reference in my offline journal I am not even certain I ever made.
Perhaps 'irony' is how I value the images I capture now from a cheap camera I didn't want to purchase back then, those years of 2007 and 2008 and into 2009.
I sat there many hours on the roof-top deck in the evenings at The Vermont in downtown Seattle and I remember very well the day the US Navy Flight Demonstration Team was practicing over Seattle.
One day I was up there and a woman I doubtfully half-suspected was a zombie commented about the one Blue Angels jet "never" flew that close over our location. I saw the pilot clearly pass by us. I commented to her something about how I was going back below because of something about getting sunburned, out there in the bright sunlight.
Checking just now the Seafair website the Blue Angels fly over in August so I am guessing that day on the rooftop deck of The Vermont there just as The Space Needle towered over us was in August 2008. I might have recorded that in my journal but I really have no idea.
