Royal Maundy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Origins; early and medieval history
The word Maundy derives from the command or mandatum by Christ at the Last Supper, to love one another. The Gospels relate that on the eve of his Crucifixion, Jesus Christ ate a meal with his disciples. After the meal, it is recorded that Jesus washed their feet, and gave them the following mandatum or command: "If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done unto you." Mandatum is the derivation of the word "Maundy", and the Royal Maundy service evolved from Jesus' command to his disciples.

Fiction
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fiction is the classification for any story created by the imagination, rather than based strictly on history or fact. Fiction can be expressed in a variety of formats, including writings, live performances, films, television programs, video games, and role-playing games, though the term originally and most commonly refers to the major narrative forms of literature (see literary fiction), including the novel, novella, short story, and play. Fiction constitutes an act of creative invention, so that faithfulness to reality is not typically assumed; in other words, fiction is not expected to present only characters who are actual people or descriptions that are factually true. The context of fiction is generally open to interpretation, due to fiction's freedom from any necessary embedding in reality; however, some fictional works are claimed to be, or marketed as, historically or factually accurate

Original airdate in N.A.: 19-May-94
Shortly thereafter, Homer sees Rev. Lovejoy and his wife walking towards the door of the house.
Homer: Oh, good. Reverend Lovejoy will make Marge take me back! He _has_ to push the sanctity of marriage, or his God will punish him!
[inside]
Rev. Lovejoy: Get a divorce.
Mrs. Lovejoy: Mmm hm.
Marge: But isn't that a sin?
Rev. Lovejoy: Marge, _everything_ is a sin. You ever sat down and read this thing? [holds up a bible] Technically, we're not allowed to go to the bathroom.

Kitty Kowalski: [about Kryptonian technology] Sounds like a lot of hocus-pocus to me.
Lex Luthor: Well, naturally. To the primitive mind, any sufficiently advanced technology would be indistinguishable from magic.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Quotes
Clark Kent: Civil liberties are being trampled on in your city; good people living in fear.
Bruce Wayne: Don't believe everything you hear, son.
Clark Kent: I've seen it, Mr. Wayne. He thinks he's above the law.
Bruce Wayne: The Daily Planet criticizing those who think they're above the law is a little hypocritical, wouldn't you say? Considering every time your hero saves a cat out of a tree, you write a puff piece editorial about an alien who, if he wanted to, could burn the whole place down. There wouldn't be a damn thing we can do to stop it.
Clark Kent: Most of the world doesn't share your opinion, Mr. Wayne.
Bruce Wayne: Maybe it's the Gotham City in me... we just have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns.
