Unmistakable snowfall on the Channel 2 KREM weather camera over in Coeur d'Alene, as I write this in the morning, progressing throughout the day today.
The Spokane camera is just blurry. Maybe they fixed it though, assuming it was broken and not just a problem on my side, which is doubtful, because the Coeur d'Alene camera never seemed to have a problem. Around the time the re-constructed U.S. Pavilion in Riverfront Park came back online, the Spokane camera has been screwed up. Web cameras used to be my only source for viewing the outside world, until a couple years ago when I decided to purchase a bicycle again.
That new construction in front of the library is really shaping up. Don't know what they're calling the finished product. The view of the Spokane Falls should be fantastic. I find it especially interesting because it appears the finished construction will be easily accessible with my bicycle. I don't like to leave it unattended. The reason I've never traveled down to the lowest point to view the Spokane Falls. That new construction is on a much higher level overlooking the Spokane Falls. I've captured images from the other side of the river. That new construction site appears to be much more open of a view. Can't be much longer until it opens. And presumably, it won't be closed for the winter, as is the lower point next to the Falls.
Doesn't look as though the Spokane web camera is working. There's no motion in the frame, which is consistent with what I've been seeing. The image changes but only after a few hours. Today's the first time I can recall seeing a day-time image on there, usually it's a night-time image, with the traffic lights unchanging. Today, the flag should be flapping in the wind and yet hasn't moved. Checking it again a few hours later during the 6 PM hour, same image.
Has been snowing the hell out of it here all day today, the temperature dropping lower than earlier in the morning. For so many years of my earlier life I had wanted to live some place in the United States with winters, 4 Seasons, such as here.
