See, I don't think I would have immediately thought of this term as slang in a camera discussion, presumably about the lens, having myself no professional camera experience.

But today among the multitude of sensory input I am bombarded with on any given day I read it in a trivial comment on a closed forum where it was used as a slang term and posted before I joined the board. Didn't even at first register in my mind.

Doesn't matter if that term would be obvious to my mind from before I watched the newest episode of "NCIS" last Tuesday.
