The Last Man

Watching the first few minutes so far of this video, paused now to make this note, I was suddenly reminded again of the body-count-journal-of-dead that I've wrote of before. I woke up this morning thinking about it again but now the details have faded.

Today's observation is a success. I have a new idea about my brilliant Moon rising images. Today the moon, according to timeanddate.com is 38% illuminated, became visible to me over that mountain range about 1:15 PM. That a whopping 6+ hours before they list the sunset time for today. It's risen now, turning my head from here at my desk towards the bright sky outside my apartment, and I can see it's well clear now of the ridgeline. Very easy still at its apparent height in the sky to overlook it. Only saw it just above the ridgeline today because I was specifically looking for it and I've got a lot of practice now at spotting it. The weather reports for the next few days, the prime time for imagery, isn't too promising. Unlike the sunrise, the moonrise opportunities arrive each month, with some variation, the tilt of the Earth creating distinct variations for each.

Counted a few dozen more trees today over there in Idaho distant from here in Spokane.
