The President. Thank you very much. Excuse the little delay here. Welcome to the White House. I want to single out an old friend of mine, Henry Cisneros, the chair of the National Civic League. Wayne Hedien of Allstate, Members of Congress who are here, State representatives, mayors and, above all, some friends of the finest cities in America, it's an honor and, indeed, a pleasure to have you here at the White House.
The event is special. It's special because too often it seems the function of the Federal Government is to make laws and set limits. But the cities and citizens we honor today are reminders that America's potential is truly unlimited. The All-American Cities are all-American success stories. At a time when so many mourn what's wrong with American cities, you have quietly gone to work to make them right. You've refused to surrender to crime and to drug dealers

Cage: She typed up those orders for you to authorize, but she left out the word referring to the fuel duct in Greenwich.
[Brigham takes the paper from his secretary and reads it]
Cage: Your name is Iris. You're birthday is September 17th. The General probably pulled some strings stationed your only son in Australia, as far from the war as possible. Tell the General his dinner's been canceled, the call came in just now.
[to Brigham]
Secretary - Iris: Your dinner was canceled.
General Brigham: You forgot the fuel duct.
[Brigham gives the paper back to his secretary]
General Brigham: Thank you, Iris. That will be all.
[the secretary looks at Cage for a moment before walking out of the office]
[after Brigham's secretary leaves the room Rita gets her weapon out again]
Rita: Let's go.
Cage: Rita, let me just...
Rita: What are you doing?
Cage: Please, don't shoot him yet. Okay? Just...just...
[to Brigham]
Cage: General, th...this isn't the first time we've had this conversation. Cause that's...because you're...you're stubborn. You won't believe me when I tell you that Dr. Carter was right, that the enemy can manipulate time. The invasion will fail, no matter how many bodies you throw at it, and the only way to win this war is by finding this power source within the cord and killing it. And the only means of finding it is in that safe right there.
[Brigham looks at the safe on the wall]
Cage: No matter how many times that we have this conversation you refuse to accept that the enemy breaks through to London tomorrow and we lose. We lose everything.
General Brigham: Let's say for the moment that I can't rationally explain your impressive parlor tricks.
[Brigham goes over the safe, opens it and takes out the device]
General Brigham: Dr. Carter told me this device requires a live Mimic to work. What use is it to you?
Cage: That's my concern.
General Brigham: On the contrary. According to you this concerns the whole world.
Cage: Well what would you do if you believed everything I just told you.
General Brigham: I would locate this...
Cage: Omega.
General Brigham: And bomb it out of existence.
Cage: You're not mentally equipped to fight this thing, and you never will be.
[Brigham hands over the device to Cage, who gives Brigham a suspicious look before taking it and walking over to Rita]
Rita: What do we do now?
Cage: I don't know, we've never gotten this far.
