My Seattle Marathon race number, for the event I successfully completed on 30 November 2003, was the same as the room number they assigned to me at The Vermont Inn-Apartments in December 2006.
I didn't record the precise calendar date I moved in there. I know I was still living in that homeless shelter for veterans in Shoreline Washington State on Christmas Day 2006 but I was in the Vermont Inn-Apartments on New Years Eve 2006 because I remember sitting there on the roof-top deck and watching the fireworks from the Space Needle from about a block away.
The Space Needle was also the starting point and finishing point of the Seattle Marathon in 2003.
That Seattle Marathon race date was the same date listed for the premiere of the television movie "The Reagans" starring James Brolin in his portrayal of Ronald Reagan.
I was still a full-time employee of Microsoft Corporation at the time.
Only today did I notice that my bib number was the same. I found it online at the official site and then compared with email records I still have that contain my address at The Vermont.

A new, wind-driven wildfire erupted outside Los Angeles early Wednesday, forcing an evacuation of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and threatening about 6,500 homes, officials said.
At least 800 firefighters were battling the Easy fire in Simi Valley, about 50 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, a Ventura County dispatcher said.

The blaze was first reported at about 6 a.m. local time near West Los Angeles Avenue and West Easy Street, officials said. It's burned at least 1,300 acres and was threatening 7,000 homes and 26,000 residents, officials said.
"Unfortunately it was about the worst time it could happen, 40 mph sustained winds and fuels that were ripe and ready to carry a fire," Ventura County Fire Chief Mark Lorenzen told reporters.
It hasn't rained in Simi Valley for 125 days.
"The fire quickly progressed, it jumped Tierra Rejada Rd. and made a run towards the Reagan Presidential Library," Ventura County Fire Chief Chad Cook said.

My fellow Americans:
From the early days of the colonies, prayer in school was practiced and revered as an important tradition. Indeed, for nearly 200 years of our nation's history, it was considered a natural expression of our religious freedom. But in 1962 the Supreme Court handed down a controversial decision prohibiting prayer in public schools.
Sometimes I can't help but feel the first amendment is being turned on its head. Because ask yourselves: Can it really be true that the first amendment can permit Nazis and Ku Klux Klansmen to march on public property, advocate the extermination of people of the Jewish faith and the subjugation of blacks, while the same amendment forbids our children from saying a prayer in school?
When a group of students at the Guilderland High School in Albany, New York, sought to use an empty classroom for voluntary prayer meetings, the 2d Circuit of Appeals said, "No." The court thought it might be dangerous because students might be coerced into praying if they saw the football captain or student body president participating in prayer meetings.
Then there was the case of the kindergarten class reciting a verse before their milk and cookies.

Skinner conducted his research on a group of hungry pigeons whose body weights had been reduced to 75% of their normal weight when well-fed. For a few minutes each day, a mechanism fed the birds at regular intervals. What observers of the pigeons found showed the birds developing superstitious behavior, believing that by acting in a particular way, or committing a certain action, food would arrive.

A new wildfire has forced the evacuation of the Reagan Presidential Library

(CNN) A fresh wildfire is burning on a ridge near the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Southern California's Simi Valley city, forcing officials to order evacuations of the library and nearby homes and close schools.
Firefighting aircraft were dropping liquid in the area in a bid the stop the fire, CNN's Bill Weir reported from the scene.
"The flames are licking right up the hills, right up to the parking lot," library Executive Director John Heubusch told CNN affiliate KLTA. "I think the parking lot will save the library."
Named the Easy Fire, the blaze -- one of several California wildfires burning in dry and windy conditions -- began Wednesday morning in the hills near Simi Valley and already has burned 1,300 acres, according to the Ventura County Fire Department. It threatened 6,500 home and forced school closures and evacuations.
Aerial video from affiliate KABC showed a long line of fire burning on a ridge in the hillsides, parts of which were near the library and a residential neighborhood. Thick smoke rose from the flames.

Patient Zero
Only the third time in the past 11 years I have been sick with some kind of respiratory illness. I thought I changed my earlier blog post to indicate 11 years instead of 8 years but I didn't seem to.
I have only been sick only three times since at least the year 2003. Might have been the year 2002 the last time. Definitely not after 2003 except for the three occurrences I have tracked the dates for. The second time was just after I considered moving into an apartment named West Point and traveled there to view it. For this third time I think of it as just a cold. I don't really know the difference between a cold and the flu. I just think the flu has stronger symptoms than a cold. I didn't measure my body temperature. I was out of it for a few days. At one point I seemed to have to get up every hour to go to the bathroom because I had drank so much bottled water thinking that would help.
I remember that incident very well. I remember because I have been especially aware of sickness since I worked at Microsoft and so I was keeping track of it after I was in the VA hospital.
And so in December 2014 [ correction: December 2013 ] I remember especially well because of a comment a woman made to me when uncharacteristically I went to the supermarket late in the day on Christmas Eve. I remember thinking about it when I started feeling bad the next day. At first I thought the air quality was just bad. I was coughing and I thought the reason was the so-called ridiculously resilient ridge of High Pressure causing stagnant air and wood smoke pollution.
I haven't written about it because something just seems wrong. Something about my so-called time-traveler effect I cannot figure out. I also can't remember what the hell the light fixtures are supposed to be about. Sometimes rarely my cryptic method of recording my observations backfires and I can't remember what the hell it was I was noting.
Doesn't matter. I have established that just because I document something here in this theoretical time-traveler journal that doesn't cause anything to happen in the future.
Look at how their supposed facts are changing. Supposedly that infant in Africa got sick and died at precisely the same time I got sick for only the third time in at least 11 years.

So that was actually the day before Christmas Eve when "uncharacteristically I went to the supermarket".
Makes more sense anyway; I doubt that store was even open for business that time of day on Christmas Eve. I wrote before in my blog I was there late in the day Christmas Eve and then I referenced that again several times without stopping to really consider what I had written.
I try to avoid supermarkets around holidays so I do not recall their business hours on Christmas which I vaguely recall the notices they post but I ignore those because as a habit I avoid shopping around those times.
I have also noted from my receipts that I was over there again on the 28th so as I have written here my symptoms must not have been too overwhelmingly bad.
