Something keeps tugging at me about "screendoors" but I can't quite grasp it yet.
So they blanked my memory.....I started trying to build my life effectivly over again, finding a woman I loved and could go home to every day, and the kind of work that I thought would have a global impact on improving peace.
Ah, one night, Randy Cole and I, and another guy named Eddie I think, were running through a neighbors backyard. One of our friends had a trampoline and we would go over and jump on it sometimes. This particular night we were going through that yard and we heard a screen door slam. Eddy and Randy ran one way, I ran the other way. As it turned out, I ran the wrong way. This huge dude hopped down off some kind of embankment wall brandishing a big knife and asking why I was in their yard.

So that's what it was. That's what I dreamed of very early this morning or last night.
I had been aware for a long time of the "Stargate: Atlantis" television series but I had never, until this past hour, given some serious thought about the plot elements that form the drama of that television series. I have never before watched any episode from that television series. I have seen glimpses of scenes but the notion of "Wraith" is new to me today.
I started to wonder about how that 16 July 2004 premiere happens after 03 March 2003.
And then looking at those creepy figures in the images, the "Wraith" I had to look at it a few minutes, after having read a lot about them a few minutes, that is what I must have seen in my dream the last time I was sleeping today.
I am wondering about it because of how prescient are my other dreams lately.
Maybe I am winning against them by telling you this.
So anyway, the dream started with me walking into a house. My mother was there with me and so was my sister. I think again now as I write this, as it seemed to me later after the dream, that figures in my dream are not literal. So I recall that I was very angry. There was a group of washing machines on the lower floor of the house we were in and there were enough of them there to seem it was a commercial facility but that doesn't get explained in the dream. The reason I am so angry is because I am looking at the manifold where clean water is supposed to flow into the washing machines, an observation was presently simply to my sleeping mind and that seems more complicated than it is while I describe it, and the water was very brown colored. I was very angry about that. I have been thinking all day since then about one of those episodes from the "Lost" television series where they found a pool of water in some secret building and that water has some kind of regeneration powers for humans, to the point of immortality, but the water had turned brown and the people who used it were concerned about it. I haven't thought about that episode in years. So anyway, I am upstairs in the house, which doesn't have anything familiar about it, and my mother is there and so is my sister. And then the zombies appear. At some point, I am seeing them in the yard walking along as I am talking to mother. I am angry at her now. She has threatened to cancel my source of income and there is some dialog that is now too vague to recall. And the hostility escalates to the point I am choking her by the throat and I said something in the dream similar to "I'll kill you too." But it wasn't her. As with most people in my dreams, I never see them clearly. They are figures similar to the people I see when I am outside and they are in my peripheral vision. I see people in dreams in a similar way. With few exceptions I never see anyone clearly and in detail. But I could see her in more detail now and after I looked at those photos of the "Wraith" that was very similar to what I was seeing and I had my hands around its neck and I was enjoying choking it. I think I stopped though and I didn't kill it. But the part I thought of most throughout today was the zombies. I cannot now recall if the zombies showed up first. I don't think they did. I think the dirty water caused the hostilities towards the person I was choking. Then the first zombie came in the house and I used my fist to hit it very hard and then I physically threw it out the same door it came in although that last part wasn't something I visualized. I did visualized the second zombie come in again towards us and that one I saw myself slam it against the wall and I knew in the dream that I also threw it out the same door it came in but that was a different door than the first zombie came through. The same story with the third and final zombie but I don't recall visualizing any of that action. I just knew it came through a third door and I simply knew I had thrown back out the same door it came through.
And then there were the zombies themselves. I don't think I have ever actually dreamed of zombies. I have written many times before that I dream while sleeping of activities I have worked on so it seems that my research on zombie topics would show up in my sleeping dreams but I guess I never woke up from any of those or that I never had any that I became aware of. Those zombies in my dream while last sleeping weren't actually doing anything threatening. They were just stumbling around and walking as you see zombies act in movies but they weren't biting anybody. They were just lumbering about with expressions that seemed kind of stupor. I was thinking later they might be something I used to call "pre-zombies" but they are advanced beyond that but not yet cannibalistic.
So anyway, the images of the "Wraith" make me think now in this hour about the similarities to the "Morlocks" from 1960.
Also, the predatory nature of the "Wraith" is similar to thoughts I have had for a while. As "Kirk" said in "Metamorphosis" "How do you beat something like that?" The "Wraith's" also resemble that chief "Morlock" in the 2002 remake of "The Time Machine" and there is the scene where he is strangling the starring character.
Also, if you stretch your imagination for a moment and try to believe something is possible then that all explains what my "mother" is supposed to represent in my dreams. I think about I have written before about that in the context of that ancient being in the 2000 "Mission to Mars" film.
Stretching it again you could understand why I would travel backwards in time when presented with the opportunity. That's only way to beat them.
And now look at me. Listen to the people in the world as they ignore me again today.

Hubble Telescope Discovers 'Living Fossil' Galaxy in Our Milky Way's Backyard

Our Milky Way galaxy has another neighbor.
The Hubble Space Telescope has discovered a dwarf galaxy in our own cosmic backyard, a mere 30 million light-years from the Milky Way. (That may sound like a far piece, but remember: the observable universe is a whopping 93 billion light-years across.)
The find was fortuitous. An international team of astronomers was using Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys instrument to study white dwarfs — superdense stellar corpses — in the globular cluster NGC 6752, which is part of the Milky Way.
The Hubble images revealed an odd clump of stars. Analyses of the stars' brightnesses and temperatures indicated that they lay beyond NGC 6752 and were, in fact, part of a previously unknown galaxy.
The researchers determined that this galaxy — nicknamed Bedin 1
The researchers published their findings online today (Jan. 31) in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society: Letters.

The innovation, which depended on a 65-pound battery, was installed on 12,000 Cadillac automobiles in its first year, and Kettering would receive U.S. Patent #1,150,523 on August 17, 1915. Charles Franklin Kettering (August 29, 1876 – November 25, 1958) sometimes known as Charles "Boss" Kettering was an American inventor, engineer, businessman, and the holder of 186 patents. He was a founder of Delco, and was head of research at General Motors from 1920 to 1947. Among his most widely used automotive developments were the electrical starting motor and leaded gasoline. In association with the DuPont Chemical Company, he was also responsible for the invention of Freon refrigerant for refrigeration and air conditioning systems. At DuPont he also was responsible for the development of Duco lacquers and enamels, the first practical colored paints for mass-produced automobiles. While working with the Dayton-Wright Company he developed the "Bug" aerial torpedo, considered the world's first aerial missile. He led the advancement of practical, lightweight two-stroke diesel engines, revolutionizing the locomotive and heavy equipment industries. In 1927, he founded the Kettering Foundation, a non-partisan research foundation. He was featured on the cover of Time Magazine on January 9, 1933.
Belle Isle and self-starter
Early automobiles required a hand crank for starting. Occasionally, when the spark lever was not properly set, the hand crank kicked back, causing serious injury: a broken wrist, arm, or shoulder. On a winter night in 1908, the result was much worse.
Byron Carter, founder of Cartercar, came across a stalled motorist on Belle Isle in the middle of the Detroit River. He gallantly offered to crank the car for the stranded driver. When she forgot to retard the spark, the crank kicked and broke Carter's jaw. Complications developed, and Carter later died of pneumonia. When Cadillac chief, Henry M. Leland, heard the news, he was distraught. Byron Carter was a friend; the car that kicked back was a Cadillac. "The Cadillac car will kill no more men if we can help it," he told his staff.
Leland's engineers were able to build an electric self-starter, but the device was not small enough to be practical. He called Charles Kettering. The engineers at Delco worked around the clock to get the job done by the February 1911 deadline. Kettering later described their work thus: They didn't have a job so much as the job had them.
Kettering's key insight lay in devising an electrical system that performed the three purposes it continues to serve in modern cars: starter and, as generator, producer of spark for ignition as well as current for lighting. Leland approved their product for his 1912 model and placed an order for 12,000 self-starters. Delco, the research and development outfit, had to quickly learn the business of production.

On Monday, February 17, 1997, 5:30 a.m. CST, STS-82 MCC Status Report # 13 reports:
Following the completion of a 6 hour, 34 minute spacewalk by astronauts Greg Harbaugh and Joe Tanner early this morning, the replacement and installation of all the science and engineering components for the Hubble Space Telescope have been completed.
Harbaugh and Tanner began their second spacewalk and the fourth of the mission by emerging from Discovery's airlock at 9:45 p.m. Central time Sunday night. Their first task was the replacement of a Solar Array Drive Electronics package which is used to control the positioning of Hubble's solar arrays. Harbaugh and Tanner next ventured to the top of the telescope where they replaced covers over Hubble's magnetometers, which are used to sense the telescope's position in relation to the Earth through data acquired from the Earth's magnetic field. The spacewalking astronauts then placed thermal blankets of multi-layer material over two areas of degraded insulation around the light shield portion of the telescope just below the top of the astronomical observatory. The astronauts had trained for the repair work before the flight in the event such repairs would be needed.
While Harbaugh and Tanner were finishing up their work in the payload bay, Pilot Scott Horowitz and Payload Commander Mark Lee were busy on Discovery's middeck fabricating additional thermal insulation blankets that will be installed on the telescope during a fifth spacewalk planned for late tonight. The additional spacewalk by Lee and spacewalking teammate Steve Smith was incorporated into the mission timeline to shore up weathered insulation covering three equipment bays along the top of the Support Systems Module section of Hubble housing key data processing, electronics and scientific instrument telemetry packages. The fifth spacewalk is expected to last around four hours.
Harbaugh and Tanner returned to Discovery's airlock at 4:19 a.m. this morning, bringing the total spacewalking time for the mission to 27 hours and 54 minutes over the past four days.
Because of the additional spacewalk, the final firing of the steering jets to reboost Hubble to its deployment altitude will occur at the end of the final spacewalk tomorrow morning with the deployment of Hubble now set for 12:41 A.M. Central time Wednesday morning. Discovery's landing at the Kennedy Space Center.is scheduled for the predawn hours Friday morning.
The crew will begin an eight-hour sleep period at 9:25 a.m. this morning and will be awakened at 5:25 p.m. to begin preparations for the final spacewalk of the second Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission.
Discovery continues to orbit the Earth in excellent condition at an altitude of 374 statute miles.
On Monday, February 17, 1997, 5:30 p.m. CST, STS-82 MCC Status Report # 14 reports:
With all scheduled telescope work completed, two astronauts will go into the payload bay of Discovery one more time tonight to install extra protection over some aging insulation on the Hubble Space Telescope.
Mission specialists Mark Lee and Steve Smith are expected to spend about four hours working to add several thermal insulation blankets to the three areas along the top of the Support Systems Module section of Hubble housing key data processing, electronics and scientific instrument telemetry packages. Specifically, the work will be done on bay 7, which holds electronics and mechanisms for the solar arrays; bay 8, which contains pointing electronics and a Retrieval Mode Gyro Assembly; and bay 10, which houses the Science Instrument Control and Data Handling Subsystems.
Mission managers added the fifth space walk to the flight plan on Saturday because of Hubble managers' concerns about several separations in the external insulation on the observatory. Hubble managers were concerned that the separated areas could trap light and cause localized heating, damaging Hubble's sensitive systems.
Because of the additional extravehicular activity, the final firing of the steering jets to reboost Hubble to its deployment altitude (333 by 320 nautical miles) will occur at the end of tonight's spacewalk. Deployment of Hubble is now set for 12:41 a.m. CST Wednesday morning.
All the instruments installed by the STS-82 crew during the first four spacewalks have been checked by the HST controllers and all verification tests look good. The final check outs will take place once Hubble is again flying on its own.

HOUSTON — What had been a flawless maiden voyage for space shuttle Endeavour ran into serious trouble Sunday as astronauts attempting to snag a stranded $150-million communications satellite sent it spinning out of control.
