Semper Eadem

I've been trying to ignore this stupid film. I remember seeing it back in the time-frame of 1986 and I thought it was an interesting film at the time, although I'm not really certain when I first watched it. I feel certain I remember watching the sequel at the time it premiered or around that time. Eventually, the acting by Lambert got to be too annoying to watch more than a few times. Christopher Lambert is about the lamest actor you could get for an action film.

But that would explain why Microsoft had that corporate apartment named Highland they put me into when I moved out here in December 1998.

I mean, the most the transvestite Microsoft Bill Gates could ever aspire to being is an effeminate male.

Ramirez: Patience, Highlander. You have done well. But it'll take time. You are generations being born and dying. You are at one with all living things. Each man's thoughts and dreams are yours to know. You have power beyond imagination. Use it well, my friend.

Memorable quotes for

Highlander (1986)

Connor MacLeod: Tell me how'd it happen for God's sake.

Ramirez: Why does the sun come up? Or are the stars just pin holes in the curtain of night, who knows? What I do know is that because you were born different, men will fear you... try to drive you away like the people of your village.

[MacLeod turns his back]

Ramirez: You must learn to conceal your special gift and harness it until the time of the gathering.

Connor MacLeod: What gathering?

Ramirez: When only a few of us are left, we will feel an irresistible pull towards a far away land... to fight for the prize.
