The version of the DVD for the racketeering production the 1991 film "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" has additional footage that I have never seen before. But seeing now "Kyle Reese" talk to the Thorazine-induced dream by "Sarah Connor" as she is locked in the mental asylum reminds me that I did read before about his cameo appearance in the DVD version.
The part that is intriguing is about how in that DVD version you see "Sarah Connor," clad only in her Thorazine-induced hallucinatory clothing that is sheer lingerie, running through the hallway of the mental institution she is confined to.
I thought about that again because earlier today my left knee started to ache. I cannot recall ever before my left knee aching. Earlier in the afternoon, actually yesterday, several hours ago, my left knee was really aching.
The scene, I had never watched before, of "Kyle Reese" talking to "Sarah Connor" and where she goes off chasing him is just after the scene of "Dr. Silverman" and the first appearance of "Sarah Connor." The hallucination is because the mental institution staff take orders from "Dr. Silverman" and they forcibly medicate her, presumably with Thorazine. The scenes that follow are what I remember where she is watching the videotape of herself earlier describing what happens on August 29, 1997.
So before that, in her hallucination, she is running through the hallways and she runs into a double-door and shoves it open into the bright sunlight and she is in that green park with the bright sunlight and the children playing on the other side of the chainlink fence. She goes through her routine of banging the chainlink fence to get their attention but then she awakens with a start confined in mental institution. What strikes me about that scene is how she shoves through that set of doors and rushes into the green grass of the park and then she turns around and the doors are gone. That entire building structure is gone. I have thought a lot about that same kind of experience. That feature is also present in the racketeering production the 1994 film "Star Trek Generations."
See, I don't like that. I don't like to see things appear and disappear that way. I don't want to walk through a door and then turn around and the door is gone. That is boring to me.
The order of the words and paragraphs I write here do not generally conform to the linearity of my thoughts. I had a moment of a more profound sense of awareness but that moment passed and I feel that I have lost some of the profound sense I had.
The issue is causality.
