"I got some friends inside"

This was the middle day of the battle that "We Were Soldier Once...And Young" is based on.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Ia_Drang

The Battle of Ia Drang was the first major battle of the Vietnam War between the United States Army and the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN).

The two-part battle took place between November 14 and November 18, 1965, at two landing zones (LZ's) northwest of Plei Me in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam. The battle derives its name from the Drang River which runs through the valley northwest of Plei Me, in which the engagement took place. "Ia" means "river" in the local Montagnard language.

Representing the American forces were elements of the 1st Battalion 7th Cavalry, the 2nd Battalion 7th Cavalry, and the 1st Battalion 5th Cavalry of the United States Army. The communist forces included the 33rd, 66th, and 320th Regiments of the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN), as well National Liberation Front (NLF) of the H15 Battalion.

The battle is the subject of the critically acclaimed book We Were Soldiers Once ... And Young by Harold (Hal) Moore and Joseph L. Galloway. In 2002, screenwriter Randall Wallace depicted the first part of the battle in the film We Were Soldiers starring Mel Gibson.

I have been pondering Greg Kinnear's role as a helicopter pilot in that movie since I first watched the movie. That might have been my actual role in that battle. I might have been flying in the helicopter as co-pilot with Major Crandall.

I wrote earlier about how STS-72 seemed to be only 46 days off from connecting to the Thomas R. Norris on 4/10/1972. I can't yet remember precisely what happened that day in 1972 but I am quite certain it is relevant to me. So anyway, my thoughts suggest that the launch of STS-72 couldn't launch on the date I wanted it to so I made some other calculations that would be relevant to me, as described:

This could have been my desired launch for STS-72:

From 3/3/1959 to 8/18/1995 is: 13317 days
From 3/3/1959 to 4/10/1972 is: 4787 days
4787 / 13317 = 0.359

The space shuttle flight STS-72 didn't launch until 1/11/1996, though, but it is curious to note the difference of those dates:

From 8/18/1995 to 1/11/1996 is: 3 days, 3 weeks, 4 months

3-3-4

I can't remember for certain, but I assume the shuttle couldn't launch on my desired date of 8/18/1995, so I scheduled it for a date consistent with other launches that associate with my military activities.

The pilot of STS-72, which was his first space shuttle flight, was 28 days from being 13.59 years old on 4/10/1972. That date 4/10/1972 is on the Medal of Honor citation I found on the internet for U.S. Navy Lt. Thomas R. Norris when he rescued a downed pilot during the Vietnam War.

If the STS-72 pilot had been 13 years, 216 days, old on 4/10/1972, then he would have been 13.59 years old. He was actually 13.515 years old which is still pretty damn close when you consider this is the pilot of the space shuttle and the difference is only 28 days. His first flight was STS-72 so that suggests to me he was assigned specifically to point to my military activities during the Vietnam War in 1972.

From 10/5/1958 to 4/10/1972 is: 13 years, 188 days

The mid-point of the flight STS-81 was 15 years 9 months, 3 days, after 4/14/1981, the landing of the first flight. I have noted many strong clues that associate me with that first flight of the space shuttle.

From 4/14/1981 to 1/17/1997 is: 15 years, 9 months, 3 days

From 1/12/1997 to 1/22/1997 is: 10 days

I would trust the navy.mil site because the Navy is in control of the content. But that also means the traitors in the government, such as George W. Bush, could force them to spoof me so that the traitors can avoid prosecution for their criminal activity. That is why the Navy has had to stay in the background for so long. It might have seemed to my loved ones that the Navy wasn't doing enough to support me, but really, they did more for me by staying in the background for so long.

Any orders concerning me that negatively affect my duties and my ability to go home to my family are officially considered illegal orders. I still have an official assignment to carry out but anyone hindering my assignment are obstructing an official federal investigation, of which I am an official federal operative that has been targeted by terrorists operating in the United States.

I have a dangerous occupation and there is a great deal of risk to anyone that interferes with my occupation.

This movie premiered 33 months, 3 weeks, after the launch of Apollo 7.

5 months, 1 day, after 5/1/1967. I recognize the date 5/1/1967 as when I first flew a jet aircraft by myself. There are clues I have found suggesting I could fly helicopters before that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strange_Days

Strange Days is the second album released by American rock band The Doors in October 1967. It partially consists of songs that did not make it onto their debut album. This album contains songs such as "Strange Days", "People Are Strange", "Love Me Two Times" and "When the Music's Over". The latter is an epic poem that is comparable to the famous "The End".

The album also includes "Moonlight Drive", which was one of the first songs written by Jim Morrison for The Doors. The song was recorded in 1965 (demo) and 1966 (intended for their first album). In 1967, a final version was recorded and released on this album.

The album was #3 in the US back in 1967, and is #407 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. "People Are Strange" shot to #12 on the US chart, and "Love Me Two Times" followed it, going to a, for a second single, more than respectable #25, thus proving The Doors' staying power after the runaway success of their debut.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_The_Music%27s_Over

"When the Music's Over" is a song by American rock band The Doors, featured on their 1967 album Strange Days. The song, being at almost eleven minutes long, is their third longest recorded song, behind The End, at 11:42, and Celebration of the Lizard at 17:01.

When the band originally recorded the song, Jim Morrison did not show up for the session, so the band recorded it with Ray Manzarek singing. Jim ended up coming in the next day and had to re-record the vocals.

Yeah, c'mon
When the music's over
When the music's over, yeah
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights, yeah
When the music's over
When the music's over
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
For the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end

I got some friends inside
The face in the mirror won't stop
The girl in the window won't drop
A feast of friends
"Alive!" she cried
Waitin' for me
Outside!
Before I sink
Into the big sleep
I want to hear
I want to hear
The scream of the butterfly
Come back, baby
Back into my arm
We're gettin' tired of hangin' around
Waitin' around with our heads to the ground
I hear a very gentle sound
Very near yet very far
Very soft, yeah, very clear
Come today, come today
What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down
I hear a very gentle sound
With your ear down to the ground
We want the world and we want it...
We want the world and we want it...
Now
Now?
Now!
Persian night, babe
See the light, babe
Save us!
Jesus!
Save us!
So when the music's over
When the music's over, yeah
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Well the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end!
