"Take Us To Your Leader"

I saw that film in the theaters back in the year 2001 when it first premiered. I thought it was a really good production. As best I recall now sitting here I saw it at a theater Bellevue Washington in the Crossroads neighborhood. Much of it was annoying but the actor who portrays the star of the film who is the sniper and also the actor who portrays the political officer did very well I was thinking. The political officer did the best, is my impression, having not watched yet the entire DVD because he doesn't really come off as a weasel as I would have thought. I haven't watched that production in a long time but it is all familiar to me now and especially the opening scene in the fountain with the bodies strewn around and I have thought to myself I have thought before about that scene. Watching the 2001 "Behind Enemy Lines" never reminded me of that scene in the 2001 "Enemy at the Gates" but I feel certain I have thought independently about that scene from the latter.

When I first started thinking about something unusual with my left ear, I had several thoughts about it.

Now that I think about, there was that scene of him on a roof with a sniper rifle. And over the past few weeks, I have started to think that I am going to eventually remember how to speak and read other languages, although I have no clue about most of them. Spanish is kind of easy to figure out some words, but that doesn't mean anything. There was that day at Microsoft where Lynn and I were trading some words in German, I think it was, she seemed impressed, although as I told her, I was using an online translator. And martial arts. I think I know some form of martial arts.

I wonder if I was very arrogant in my real life.

I still have no interest in reading more about this "Bourne" stuff. And I'm not going to read about it so that probably means something.

Oh, and there's a scar on my left hand that I have been wondering about but I don't feel like writing about. I remember it was after having to walk home through a bad neighborhood. I remember it was a nasty wound, bled a lot, something about nasty bandages. At first I thought it might be a bullet scar, but then I thought maybe someone had jammed a philips screwdriver between my knuckles. But there is no exit scar so I'm not sure what it means. Perhaps what ever did it didn't go down through my hand, rather went into my hand, towards my wrist and didn't exit. The oblong nature of the scar would support that possibility. It doesn't hurt though.

I was thinking about this time my clothes were filthy with salt. I remember that as a time on the Taylor but I am now wondering if it was dust, as in some kind of desert.

I have been wondering about a small scar on my abdomen. It could be a .22 caliber bullet wound judging by the size.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.223_Remington

.223 Remington

The .223 Remington is a sporting cartridge with almost the same external dimensions as the 5.56x45mm NATO military cartridge. The name is commonly pronounced either two-two-three or two-twenty-three.[citation needed] It is loaded with a 0.224-inch (5.7 mm) diameter, jacketed bullet, with weights ranging from 40 to 90 grains (2.6 to 5.8 g), though the most common loading by far is 55 grains (3.6 g). When loaded with a bullet that expands, tumbles, or fragments in tissue, this cartridge is capable of delivering devastating terminal performance. Proponents of the hydrostatic shock theory contend that this includes remote wounding effects known as hydrostatic shock.

While the external case dimensions are very similar, the .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm differ in both maximum pressure and chamber shape. The maximum and mean pressures for some varieties of the 5.56 mm (different cartridge designations have different standards) exceed the SAAMI maximums for the .223 Remington, and the methods for measuring pressures differ between NATO and SAAMI. The 5.56 mm chamber specification has also changed over time since its adoption, as the current military loading (NATO SS-109 or US M855) uses longer, heavier bullets than the original loading did. This has resulted in a lengthening of the throat in the 5.56 mm chamber. Thus, while .223 Remington ammunition can be safely fired in a 5.56 mm chambered gun, firing 5.56 mm ammunition in a .223 Remington chamber may produce pressures in excess of even the 5.56 mm specifications due to the shorter throat.

Memorable quotes for

Batman Begins (2005) [ RACKETEER INFLUENCED AND CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS US Title 18 ]

Carmine Falcone: No gun? I'm insulted! You could have just sent a thank-you note.

Bruce Wayne: I didn't come here to thank you. I came here to show you that not everyone in Gotham's afraid of you.

Carmine Falcone: Only those who know me, kid. Look around you: you'll see two councilmen, a union official, a couple off-duty cops, and a judge.

[points a gun at Bruce]

Carmine Falcone: Now, I wouldn't have a second's hesitation of blowing your head off right here and right now in front of 'em. Now, that's power you can't buy! That's the power of fear.

Bruce Wayne: I'm not afraid of you.

Carmine Falcone: Because you think you got nothing to lose. But you haven't thought it through. You haven't thought about your lady-friend down at the D.A.'s office. You haven't thought about your old butler. Bang!

[Falcone pulls the trigger, but the hammer falls on an empty chamber with a click; he puts the gun away]

Carmine Falcone: People from your world have so *much* to lose. Now, you think because your mommy and your daddy got shot, you know about the ugly side of life, but you don't. You've never tasted desperate. You're, uh, you're Bruce Wayne, the Prince of Gotham; you'd have to go a thousand miles to meet someone who didn't know your name. So, don't-don't come down here with your anger, trying to prove something to yourself. This is a world you'll never understand. And you always fear what you don't understand. Alright.

[Falcone gives his bodyguards a signal to remove Bruce; they take hold of him, and he struggles against their grip]

Carmine Falcone: Yeah, you got spirit, kid. I'll give you that.
