"But they're pretty good company"
This has become to feel like some game and I can't help but stop to make this note that 99.999% of all you dullard dim-wits out there RIGHT NOW can ignore.
I've been working for a while the past couple hours on another post and my progress through Book 2 would probably seem erratic.
But then I finished the majority of the content for the post, sitting it aside thinking there might be something else about this character "Guilder" I want to include.
I might as well now just spit it out clearly that for several years I have been thinking, alluding to a few times directly and indirectly in my posts, that Thomas Reagan has been dead since the year 1998 and that in his last years he began experiencing the onset of Parkinson's Disease. Possibly due to his 529 days of living as an astronaut in deep solar system space, not to mention all his other time, many, many days in space locally to this planet Earth.
So I set aside for a few minutes my next post and I began steadily progressing again through the book.
Presumably, every time I turn a page, there is internet traffic generated. The page I am reading, and its contents, are predictable.
Meanwhile, I have an Amazon Prime music station streaming in another browser tab.

He sensed her hesitation.
"Isn't there something you're forgetting?" she asked.
The money. That's what she was asking for. How could she think about money at a time like this? He wanted to tell her that what they shared couldn't be counted in dollars and cents, words along those lines, but all he managed to say was "I don't have it with me."
She frowned. "Honey, that's not how it works. You know that."

"These Are My Friends"
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
I wish I was a little more loved
Tryna find a way to fix that
So many people inside my head
Momma taught me not to talk back
But they're pretty good company
They cheer me up when I feel bad
Is it my insecurities
That keep me going?
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
And they don't care who you are
They don't care what you do, no
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
My heart and I don't get along
It's something that I'm sad about
Everybody needs a pick me up
But I should prolly slow it down
But it's pretty good company
It cheers me up when I feel bad
These are my insecurities
That keep me going
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
And they don't care who you are
They don't care what you do, no
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
We are the weirdos
Inflated egos
The filthy misbehave
The ones you dream of
The ones you can't shake
Living in your brain
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
And they don't care who you are
They don't care what you do, no
These are my friends
I love them, I love them
