Not as interesting if you need a reason.
Elizabeth Shue has a few brilliant corporate vice-president moments.
Only after I had started watching the first episodes did I realize that I would have normally not watched this type of program. I despise works that are clearly designed as parodies of other well-known works. The first example I remembered was the Charlie Sheen "Hot Shots". I haven't seen that in a long time and I never will again. The example I can think of that is the worst I have ever seen was a TBS television series that was a parody of the television series "Lost". I watched the first episode and it was just too incredibly idiotic to ever watch again.
These guys are to any dim-wit clearly parodies of well-known characters but yet they still manage to work for me. Maybe it's only because their costumes and super-powers are parodies. I don't know. They mimic other characteristics too that are familiar. But yet I don't find them annoying as I would with other similar productions.
You can't go wrong with Simon Pegg. I wonder, in episode 3, how long they're going to hold him back.
Some time, long ago, there was a thought that formed in my mind. Was it before 2013? Probably. Wasn't about Billy Joel. Was the same thing, but about Bruce Springsteen. As though something said to me by some other person, some person invisible to my conscious awareness.
That guy's t-shirts remind me of another loss that was valuable to me from just before the 878 Days. All those finisher t-shirt I collected and earned personally. From marathons, sprint triathlons, Ironman triathlons. All gone. Never to be found again.
