ALTERNATE DANIEL
What's this?

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
A non-disclosure agreement. What we're about to discuss has been classified Top Secret by the United States Government.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
(closing the file and placing his hands on top of it)
What if we don't want to sign it?

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
(gesturing toward the door)
Well then, you're free to leave.

[Alternate Carter grabs a pen without hesitation and signs very quickly. Alternate Daniel concedes and does the same. They pass the signed documents to Alternate Hammond, who gives them the Top Secret files.]

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
You have a background in archaeology, isn't that right, Doctor Jackson?

ALTERNATE DANIEL
That's right.

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
But your theories failed to gain much acceptance among your colleagues.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
You could say that.

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
Egyptian pyramids as landing pads for alien spacecraft.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
I did not say that unequivocally. I simply put forth the possibility, that based on the knowledge that—

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
It's all right, Doctor, you don't have to defend your theories here. A month ago, a team of archaeologists from the University of Chicago uncovered an ancient Egyptian tomb near Giza. Inside they found artifacts typical of the period, plus one or two objects that have yet to be identified, and a video camera.

ALTERNATE CARTER
(incredulous)
A video camera.

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
(showing them a picture)
It was perfectly preserved in a vacuum sealed canopic jar. The technology is somewhat different than what is commercially available today, but we managed to charge the battery. However, we didn't bring you here because we found the camera. We brought you here because of what had been recorded on the tape inside that camera.

ALTERNATE CARTER
So, did you try dialling the Stargate address that the Daniel Jackson on the tape mentions?

ALTERNATE MCKAY
No, why would we do that?

ALTERNATE CARTER
Well, just to see—

ALTERNATE MCKAY
Of course we tried. It's called sarcasm. We tried the address numerous times; nothing happened.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Did you try any other combinations?

ALTERNATE MCKAY
I'm sorry. What are your areas of expertise?

ALTERNATE CARTER
Astrophysics.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Archaeology.

ALTERNATE MCKAY
(to Alternate Daniel)
And I would listen to you, because…?

ALTERNATE CARTER
We're on the tape.

ALTERNATE MCKAY
No you, you I would listen to if you were reading a phone book.

ALTERNATE CARTER
Oh, brother.

ALTERNATE MCKAY
You see, I love this whole, sexy librarian thing?

ALTERNATE CARTER
Is he behind me?

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Who?

ALTERNATE CARTER
McKay.

[Alternate Daniel shakes his head.]

ALTERNATE CARTER
Oh, thank god. I think I lost him. The guy is driving me nuts!

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Any progress with the ship?

ALTERNATE CARTER
Well, the technology is way beyond us, but I do have something. It could be big.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
What?

ALTERNATE CARTER
Remember how McKay said they tried dialling the Stargate address several times and nothing happened?

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Yeah.

ALTERNATE CARTER
I started thinking. Nothing happened here.

INT—SGC BRIEFING ROOM

[Alternate Carter and Alternate Daniel are seated at the table. Alternate Davis enters.]

ALTERNATE DAVIS
What have you got?

ALTERNATE DANIEL
(primly)
We're waiting to see General Hammond.

ALTERNATE DAVIS
He's busy. Why don't you tell me; I'll decide if it's worth interrupting him.

[Alternate Daniel passes a file to Alternate Carter, who passes it to Alternate Davis.]

ALTERNATE CARTER
I cross referenced our previous attempts to dial the gate with some recent seismic activity in Antarctica. They're a perfect match. The epicenter in all eight cases was exactly the same. Approximately 50 miles outside of McMurdo.
(pointing to a location on the map)
That is where you'll find your second gate.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Worth it?

ALTERNATE DAVIS
Excuse me.

[He picks up the folder and leaves. Alternate Carter and Alternate Daniel look smugly pleased.]

INT—SGC GATE ROOM

[Alternate Carter and Alternate Daniel enter to see a buzz of activity and construction. They approach Hammond.]

ALTERNATE CARTER
General, you wanted to see us?

[They look up to see the gate being lowered into the room from an open ceiling far above.]

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
It was exactly where you said it would be.

INT—PUDDLE JUMPER

[Alternate O'Neill takes the hand controls. The ship moves quickly into the wormhole and travels through it.]

EXT—CHULAK, DAY

[The Puddle Jumper comes rushing out of the wormhole and curves upward into the sky, its engine pods extending and activating. The team is seen through the viewscreen.]

INT—PUDDLE JUMPER

[The viewscreen shows forests passing below and mountains in the distance.]

ALTERNATE O'NEILL
Well, that was cool.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
I didn't feel anything.

ALTERNATE KAWALSKY
Doesn't even feel like we're pulling any g's.

ALTERNATE CARTER
This thing must have inertial dampeners.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Uh, we're from the Tau'ri. We call it Earth. You see, we found this tape, um, from the past. You see, apparently, we're
(gesturing to the others behind him)
a part of a team.
(indicating Alternate O'Neill, Carter, then Teal'c)
Um, the four of us
(indicating Alternate Kawalsky and Bosworth)
not the two of them. We're called SG-1. Now, we used this time device to go back in the past, and we screwed up the past and changed the future. See, you're not supposed to be still Apophis' First Prime. The Jaffa are supposed to be free, and
(more quietly to Alternate Teal'c, as if in aside)
we know that you think the Goa'uld are false gods.

[Without hesitation, Alternate Teal'c backhands him across the face and he falls. Alternate Carter, Kawalsky and Bosworth run to help him.]

ALTERNATE O'NEILL
(not very seriously)
That wasn't necessary.

ALTERNATE TEAL'C
Speak of such blasphemy again, and I will kill you where you stand.

ALTERNATE O'NEILL
Look, I know this is a lot to throw at you all at one time, and you gotta put up a little show for the boys here, but the fact is, (whispering)
we know the truth.

[Alternate Daniel hauls himself up using Alternate O'Neill's body and puts his arm around Alternate O'Neill's shoulder.]

ALTERNATE DANIEL
(squinting)
You see, it's all on the tape. Uh, you have to see it. It's, uh, um…

[Alternate O'Neill brushes Alternate Daniel's hand off his shoulder, but Alternate Daniel remains close and holds Alternate O'Neill by his nearer shoulder as he continues speaking.]

ALTERNATE DANIEL
It's, it's in a… it's in the camera that, um, um, you took from the bag that you took from me. If you bring it to me, I can, I can show you how it works and we can char—

[Alternate Teal'c grabs him by the jacket at the back of his neck and starts marching him up the steps and out of the cell.

EXT—CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN COMPLEX, DAY

INT—SGC CORRIDOR. LEVEL 22

ALTERNATE DANIEL
(agitated)
Look, the only reason you have the Stargate is 'cause of us.

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
I'm aware of that.

ALTERNATE JACKSON
I'm a linguist. By all accounts, your team may need one.

ALTERNATE CARTER
Ahh… what if something goes wrong with the gate on the other end?

ALTERNATE HAMMOND
Neither of you have had any military training whatsoever. Have either one of you ever even fired a weapon of any kind?

ALTERNATE CARTER
Well… unless you count launching a rocket.

Also, "Salesman." I saw that in a dream while sleeping recently. I saw myself going through an induction process in the United States Marine Corps and I woke up understanding that I was dreaming of my actual experience in 1990. I saw a document that indicated I was being inducted to the United States Marine Corps with the officer grade of Chief Warrant Officer 2. I saw in the dream another document associated with my induction and that document indicated I had been assigned the informal name "Salesman."

Chicago Tribune

Survivor: `It Really Hit You -an Utter Mess Of Bodies`

July 20, 1989 By Rogers Worthington, Chicago Tribune. Tribune reporters Jean Latz Griffin in Chicago and Jessica Seigel in Denver and Sioux City Journal reporter Harvey Sanford contributed to this report.

``We hit the ground very hard. We expected it to bounce back up, but it didn`t. Then we felt air and dust, and we couldn`t see. We were stopped before I realized we were upside down.``

Manz said he ``felt a really severe jolt. We came out of the ankle grab position, then there was a second jolt, and we lost all concept of direction. We didn`t know if we were end over end or sideways or what.``

Through fire, Postle said, he saw daylight at both ends of the fuselage. He helped two women outside before he realized he was bleeding profusely from a head wound, for which he received 27 stitches.

Martha Vazquez, of Elida, Ohio, who was with Manz on the aircraft returning from a business trip to Denver, said: ``You knew you had to get out of there fast. You just knew you had to keep running before something exploded.``

Another passenger, Charles Martz, of Denver, remembers saying to himself: ``This was going to be the one that bought the ranch.``

But Martz, who also is a pilot, said: ``That pilot did a hell of a job. He saved my life. He did a super job of controlling the plane as best he could.``

After the plane crashed and broke into three pieces, Martz said, he was upside down, and he unfastened his seat belt.

``I dropped a little way and discovered bodies all over the place,``

Martz said.

Doctor Carter, Doctor Jackson.

ALTERNATE CARTER
Major, what's this about?

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Did you find the second Stargate?

ALTERNATE DAVIS
No, we didn't. But we decided to show you something else.

[He turns to the men guarding the door.]

ALTERNATE DAVIS
Airmen?

[The airman opens the door, revealing the Puddle Jumper sitting in a large room.]

ALTERNATE DANIEL
Whoa.

ALTERNATE DAVIS
We think this was the ship SG-1 used to travel back in time.

ALTERNATE CARTER
(walking up to its side and touching it)
Where'd you find it?

ALTERNATE DAVIS
It was uncovered during an excavation of the area around the tomb where the tape was found.
(gesturing for them to continue)
Please.

[The enter the ship from the rear ramp.]

ALTERNATE CARTER
This is incredible. Is it operational?

ALTERNATE DAVIS
Not yet.

ALTERNATE CARTER
According to the tape, Jack O'Neill has a special gene that makes him able to fly this thing.

ALTERNATE DANIEL
These are constellations.

What kind of effect would all that time in space have on the shape of my face?

I cannot see how if two people were born as twins that the other one would look much different because of extended periods in zero gravity.

Project Gemini

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Gemini

Project Gemini was the second human spaceflight program of the United States of America. It operated between Projects Mercury and Apollo, with 10 manned flights occurring in 1965 and 1966. Its objective was to develop techniques for advanced space travel, notably those necessary for Project Apollo, whose objective was to land men on the Moon. Gemini missions involved the first American extravehicular activity and new orbital maneuvers included rendezvous and docking.

The "Gemini" designation comes from the fact that each spacecraft held two men, as "gemini" in Latin means "twins".
