What was my jersey number when I played little league? That was before I started playing football. I think it was '10' but not sure. I played for the team in De Queen that was sponsored by the Mountaire chicken plant. I don't remember anyone ever kidding us about that though. I also remember our first game beating the other team that was considered the best to play for. I think they were the Rotary Lions. I used to always get on base because no one could pitch to left-handers and I would either get hit or get walked.

Sometime before or after that Thedia and James had some people over to visit. I guess the man was a Marine he worked with but I don't recall. I can recall Thedia telling me off to the side they weren't accustomed to having young children around. That might have been before or after her brilliant idea to let me drink a small cup of the alcoholic Knoxberry Farms Wine and then the way I recall it she figured out later I was going back when she wasn't looking and I was drinking more of it from the bottle. I recall she brought me back from off the balcony outside the apartment that overlooked the open-air courtyard when I was certain I could successfully fly down to the concrete surface below from the railing above. I had on my Mountaire baseball helmet so everything was going to be okay.
