There hadn't been a police officer-involved shooting in more than 30 years and the United States FBI chooses *that day* to stage a gunfire shootout in Ashdown Arkansas.
In Ashdown Arkansas. That day.
First time in more than 30 years.
If that is not the definition of malice against my personal property then there is no other definition of malice.

ASHDOWN, AR (KSLA) - A late afternoon standoff in Little River County ended tragically when a suspect reportedly took his own life, but not before an exchange of gunfire with police. "They came down this way, the shots came right behind the house, we knew it was behind the house", said neighbor, Dennis Scott. Shots came from the end of a long driveway off U.S. Highway 71 just north of Ashdown, AR. Local police along with FBI agents went to the area to serve a federal warrant on 31 year old Jeremy Reed, when officers arrived things took a turn for the worse. "This gentleman had run from one house to a trailer house which was very close to each other, as he was running he had a knife he dropped on the ground and he had a shot gun and was pointing it at the officers, the FBI agent fired twice from his weapon and the city officer fired twice from a shotgun", said Little River Sheriff, Danny Russell. Police believe Reed was slightly wounded from a gunshot to the wrist. Sheriff Russell said Reed, still armed with the shotgun fired into the door of the trailer and managed to get inside. After negotiating with him for a short time another gunshot could be heard from inside the trailer. "The FBI agent was able to approach that room and get the door open and look in and found he had shot himself", said Sheriff Russell. The Arkansas State Police has been called in to investigate the officers involvement in the gun battle. This is the first officer involved shooting in Ashdown in more than 30 years. The Ashdown officer has been put on administrative leave. "We don't feel like there was any misconduct or any wrong doing on his part, its just standard procedure", said Lt. Bobby Walraven with the Ashdown Police Department. "Anything can happen just right here in Ashdown, you never know," says Scott.
Agents went to the home to serve a warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Marine Biological Association of the UK
Celebrating 125 years of excellence in research and education!
2009 saw The Marine Biological Association, which was formed in 1884, celebrate its 125th year anniversary. A series of events ran from April 2009 through to April 2010, which served as both a reminder of the prestigious history of the MBA (numerous Nobel Prize winners have carried out research at the Citadel Hill Laboratory) and also as an inspiration for all those involved with the MBA to continue the excellent work in research and education for which the MBA is known.
A Brief History of the MBA
As a result of the advances in marine science in the second half of the 1800s many naturalists were beginning to realise that a closer study of the seas and their production was needed. At the International Fisheries Exhibition in London in 1883 a committee was formed to establish a British Marine Laboratory. To carry out this intention ‘The Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom’ (MBA) was formed at a meeting at the Royal Society on 31 March 1884. Professor T.H. Huxley was elected President and Professor Ray Lankester the Secretary. Huxley thought that overexploitation of the seas was not possible whereas Lankester was very concerned about the effects of the increases in fish landings that were taking place.
At the first meeting of the Association in May 1884 sites for a laboratory were suggested and, by the second meeting, later that year, Plymouth Town Council had offered a site on the Hoe, and an inspection of the site was arranged. Although the site was on War Department land, problems regarding the lease of the land were overcome. Various organisations and prominent individuals in Plymouth and Devon gave their support and, in many cases, financial help. An appeal for more funds was launched and in February 1887 work was started on the building, which was built of Devonian limestone, and ‘The Plymouth Laboratory’ was opened with due ceremony on 30 June 1888.

Ballistic trauma
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The term ballistic trauma refers to a form of physical trauma sustained from the discharge of arms or munitions. The most common forms of ballistic trauma stem from firearms used in armed conflicts, civilian sporting and recreational pursuits, and criminal activity.
The degree of tissue disruption caused by a projectile is related to the size of the temporary versus permanent cavity it creates as it passes through tissue.
Non-fatal gunshot wounds frequently have severe and long-lasting effects, even after the victim has made a successful recovery. Typically, the consequences involve some form of major disfigurement and/or permanent disability.
