To: Governor Gregoire
From: Kerry W. Burgess (official United States federal undercover identity, an identity completely compromised by forces hostile to the United States of America)
Governor,
I have communicated these details and more to the Office of the Inspector General, Department of Justice, and I wanted to also inform you of my observations.
I currently maintain an official United States federal undercover identity and I began that assignment on 12/7/1998 to investigate Microsoft Corporation sponsored terrorism. My deployment start date is recorded as 3/15/1998 and 3/16/1998 and I have been 100% deployed since then without even being able to visit with my family. I have not yet been granted permission to resume my true identity. And there is predictability to the terrorists attacks I have survived to this point.
Another element of my work, that represents the long-term and caring relationship between Phoebe and me is a notion I express as '1970: 7 & 11,' with some examples listed in the paragraphs below.
As I search through all these details, I can find absolutely no explanation for why I have had to be 100% deployed and away from my family for almost 10 years. And that is the just the sacrifice we have had to make over the past 10 years. I am extremely lucky to still be alive at this point, considering all the attacks that have been made on me.
Am I the only person in this country besides my family and associates that has any courage?

Customer Reviews
This review is from: Midway (Collector's Edition) (DVD)
Charlton Heston is terrific as Captain Matthew Garth, the fictional character in the script, who has to deal with his son (Edward Albert), in love with a Japanese-American girl (Christina Kokubo), who has been interned with her parents. This little bit of "romance" I imagine was included in the film to round out the "human interest", and though I could have lived without this non-historical addition, it is peripheral to the action.

Royal Gun Salutes mark special royal occasions. On these days salutes are fired from locations in London and other authorised stations in the United Kingdom and the Union flag is hoisted on government buildings.
In London, salutes are fired in Hyde Park and at The Tower of London however, on State Visits, at the State Opening of Parliament and for The Queen's Birthday Parade, Green Park is used instead of Hyde Park.
The number of rounds fired in a Royal Gun Salute depends on the place and occasion. The basic salute is 21 rounds. In Hyde Park and Green Park an extra 20 rounds are added because they are a Royal Park.
Royal Gun Salutes in Hyde Park:
Salutes are fired by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery (41 Gun Royal Salute) in Hyde Park at 12.00 noon. They occur on the following Royal anniversaries, however gun salutes are not fired on Sundays, so if the date falls on a Sunday, the salute will take place the next day.

Star Wars (1977)
General Dodonna: The battle station is heavily shielded and carries a firepower greater than half the star fleet. It's defenses are designed around a direct, large-scale assault. A small one-man fighter should be able to penetrate the outer defense.
Gold Leader: Pardon me for asking, sir, but what good are snub fighters going to be against that?
General Dodonna: Well, the Empire doesn't consider a small one-man fighter to be any threat, or they'd have a tighter defense. An analysis of the plans provided by Princess Leia has demonstrated a weakness in the battle station. But the approach will not be easy. You are required to maneuver straight down this trench and skim the surface to this point. The target area is only two meters wide. It's a small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port. The shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station. Only a precise hit will set off a chain reaction. The shaft is ray-shielded, so you'll have to use proton torpedoes.
Wedge Antilles (Red 2): That's impossible! Even for a computer.
Luke: It's not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they're not much bigger than two meters.
General Dodonna: Then man your ships. And may the Force be with you.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B41_nuclear_bomb
The B41 was a thermonuclear weapon deployed by the United States Strategic Air Command in the early 1960s.
Development
The development of the Mk 41 began in 1955 with a USAF requirement for a Class B (high-yield, over 10,000 lb/4,545 kg) weapon. It was based on the "Bassoon" test device first fired in the Redwing Zuni test of 27 May 1956. An ICBM warhead version of the weapon was cancelled in 1957.
Composition
The Mk 41 was the only three-stage thermonuclear weapon fielded by the U.S. It had a deuterium-tritium boosted primary, probably with lithium-6-enriched deuteride fuel for the fusion reaction. Two versions were deployed, Y1, a "dirty" version with a tertiary stage encased with U-238, and Y2, a "clean" version with a lead-encased tertiary.
It was the highest-yield nuclear weapon ever deployed by the United States, with a maximum yield of 25 megatons.
Physical characteristics
The weapon was 12 ft 4 in (3.76 m) long, with a body diameter of 52 in (132 cm). It weighed 10,670 lb (4,850 kg). It was carried only by the B-52 Stratofortress and B-47 Stratojet. It could be deployed in free-fall or retarded (parachute) configuration, and could be set for airburst, groundburst, or laydown delivery.
Service life
The Mk 41 (designated B41 from 1968 on) entered service in 1961. About 500 of these weapons were manufactured between September 1960 and June 1962. The Mk 41 was progressively phased out of service from 1963 in favor of the B53 nuclear bomb. The last B41s were retired in July 1976.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_war
A world war is a war affecting the majority of the world's major nations. World wars usually span multiple continents, and are devastating.
The term has usually been applied to two conflicts of unprecedented scale and slaughter that occurred during the 20th century. They were the First World War, also known as the Great War (1914–1918) and the Second World War (1939–1945).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sullivan_brothers
The Sullivan brothers were five siblings who all died during the same incident in World War II, the sinking of the light cruiser USS Juneau (CL-52), the vessel on which they all served.
The Navy named two destroyers The Sullivans to honor the brothers: The Sullivans (DDG-68) and The Sullivans (DD-537). These were the first American navy ships ever to be named after more than one person. The motto for both ships was the very motto of the Sullivan brothers, "We stick together."

Lofton R. Henderson (b. 24 May 1903, Lorain, Ohio – 4 June 1942) was a naval aviator in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was the commanding officer of VMSB-241 at the Battle of Midway and is recognized as the first Marine aviator to die during that battle while leading his squadron to attack the Japanese carrier forces.
Navy Cross citation
The Navy Cross is presented to Lofton R. Henderson, Major, U.S. Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism as Squadron Commander of Marine Scout-Bombing Squadron TWO HUNDRED FORTY-ONE (VMSB- 241), during action against enemy Japanese forces in the Battle of Midway on June 4, 1942. With utter disregard for his own personal safety, Major Henderson, with keen judgment and courageous aggressiveness in the face of strong enemy fighter opposition, led his squadron in an attack which contributed materially to the defeat of the enemy. He was subsequently reported as missing it action. It is believed he gallantly gave up his life in the service of his country.

3. colitas
Colitas, "Little Tails", or its slang, "Little Buds".
On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air...This part of the lyrics of the song "Hotel California", by the Eagles, brought on curiosity about the word, as the bigger quest for understanding the entire song itself has met with as many "ideas" as to its meaning... but...
The word "colitas" means literally, "Little Tails", thus use of the slang, "colitas", (as referenced in the song) meaning the burning of little marijuana 'tails/buds'.
Reference material for my definition was confirmed from Eagles management, as follows: Irving Azoff a manager for the group: during the writing of the song 'Hotel California' by Messrs. Henley and Frey, the word `colitas' was translated for them by their Mexican-American road manager as 'little buds.

At the time of the action, Lieutenant Norris was a SEAL Advisor with the Strategic Technical Directorate Assistance Team.
Medal of Honor citation
Lieutenant Thomas R. Norris
United States Naval Reserve
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while serving as a SEAL Advisor with the Strategic Technical Directorate Assistance Team, Headquarters, U.S. Military Assistance Command, Vietnam. During the period 10 to 13 April 1972, Lieutenant Norris completed an unprecedented ground rescue of two downed pilots deep within heavily controlled enemy territory in Quang Tri Province. Lieutenant Norris, on the night of 10 April, led a five-man patrol through 2,000 meters of heavily controlled enemy territory, located one of the downed pilots at daybreak, and returned to the Forward Operating Base (FOB). On 11 April, after a devastating mortar and rocket attack on the small FOB, Lieutenant Norris led a three man team on two unsuccessful rescue attempts for the second pilot. On the afternoon of the 12th, a Forward Air Controller located the pilot and notified Lieutenant Norris. Dressed in fishermen disguises and using a sampan, Lieutenant Norris and one Vietnamese traveled throughout that night and found the injured pilot at dawn. Covering the pilot with bamboo and vegetation, they began the return journey, successfully evading a North Vietnamese patrol. Approaching the FOB, they came under heavy machine gun fire. Lieutenant Norris called in an air strike which provided suppression fire and a smoke screen, allowing the rescue party to reach the FOB. By his outstanding display of decisive leadership, undaunted courage, and selfless dedication in the face of extreme danger, Lieutenant Norris enhanced the finest traditions of the United States Naval Service.

As the consort of the Prince of Wales she is legally the Princess of Wales;[2] Clarence House has announced that she is officially styled HRH The Duchess of Cornwall (Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland). This is mainly because the princely title was so closely identified by the public with her husband's first wife, the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tramp
A tramp (at least in British English usage) is a vagrant or itinerant who travels from place to place, traditionally “tramping”, that is, walking.
While tramps may do odd jobs from time to time, they do not seek out regular work and support themselves by other means i.e. begging or scavenging. This is in contrast to:
hobos who travel from place to place (often by catching rides on freight trains) looking for work.
schnorrers, who travel from city to city begging. “Schnorrer” is a Yiddish term.
bum, a stationary homeless person who does not work, hence begs or steals for a living
Both terms, “tramp” and “hobo” (and the distinction between them), were in common use between the 1880s and the 1940s, and were not limited to the Great Depression.
Like “hobo” and “bum”, “tramp” is considered somewhat rude in American English usage, having been subsumed in more polite contexts by words such as “homeless person” or “transient”. It remains relatively more common in British English, but has also been somewhat replaced with “homeless person”.
A vacilando is a kind of tramp for whom the travel as such is more important than the destination.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tramp
The Tramp, also known as The Little Tramp, was Charlie Chaplin's most memorable on-screen character, a recognized icon of world cinema most dominant during the silent film era.
The Tramp, as portrayed by Chaplin, is a bumbling but usually good-hearted character who is most famously presented as a vagrant who endeavors to behave with the manners and dignity of a gentleman despite his actual social status. However, while he is ready to take what paying work that is available, he also uses his cunning to get what he needs to survive and escape the authority figures who will not tolerate it. Chaplin's films did not always portray "The Tramp" (or "The Little Fellow," as Chaplin called him) as a vagrant, however. The character was rarely referred to by any names onscreen, although he was sometimes identified as "Charlie" and rarely, as in the original silent version of The Gold Rush, "The Little Tramp".

A gremlin is a folkloric creature, commonly depicted as mischievous and mechanically oriented with a specific interest in aircraft. Their origin is found in myths among airmen, claiming that the gremlins were responsible for sabotaging aircraft. In later times, different fantastical creatures have been referred to as gremlins, bearing varying degrees of resemblance to the original gremlins.

Released October 7, 1967
Strange Days is the second album released by American rock band The Doors in October 1967. It partially consists of songs that did not make it onto their debut album. This album contains songs such as "Strange Days", "People Are Strange", "Love Me Two Times" and "When the Music's Over". The latter is an epic poem that is comparable to the famous "The End".
The album also includes "Moonlight Drive", which was one of the first songs written by Jim Morrison for The Doors. The song was recorded in 1965 (demo) and 1966 (intended for their first album). In 1967, a final version was recorded and released on this album.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-4
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II[2] is a two-seat supersonic long-range all-weather fighter-bomber originally developed for the U.S. Navy by McDonnell Douglas. The Phantom was used by the U.S. military from 1960 to 1996, and was the primary air superiority fighter and a workhorse fighter-bomber for the US Air Force, Navy and Marines during the Vietnam war.
The F-4 Phantom was designed as a fleet defense fighter for the U.S. Navy, and first entered service in 1960. By 1963, it had been adopted by the U.S. Air Force for the fighter-bomber role. When production ended in 1981, 5,195 Phantom IIs had been built, making it the most numerous American supersonic military aircraft. Until the advent of the F-15 Eagle, the F-4 also held a record for the longest continuous production with a run of 24 years. Innovations in the F-4 included an advanced pulse-doppler radar and extensive use of titanium in the airframe.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse-doppler_radar
Pulse-Doppler is a radar system capable of not only detecting target location (bearing, range, and altitude), but also measuring its radial velocity (range-rate). It uses the Doppler effect to determine the relative velocity of objects; pulses of RF energy returning from the target are processed to measure the frequency shift between carrier cycles in each pulse and the original transmitted frequency. To achieve this, the transmitter frequency source must have very good phase stability and the system is said to be coherent.
The nature of pulsed radar, and the relationship between the carrier frequency and the Pulse Repetition Frequency (PRF) means that the frequency spectrum can be very complex, leading to the possibility of errors and tradeoffs. In general, it is necessary to utilise a very high PRF to avoid aliasing, which can cause side effects such as range ambiguity. To avoid this, multiple PRFs are often used.

GATE DECEPTION - A SELF SCREENING ECM technique that returns a large jamming or on-frequency noise signal back to a victim automatic tracking radar. The jamming signal is much stronger than, and thus masks in the (velocity, range, or angle) gate, the true signal returned by the radar cross section of the jamming platform. The jamming signal is then gradually increased or decreased relative to the true return signal, causing the radar's gate to move away from the true signal. After a specified time or signal-magnitude, the jamming signal is turned off, causing the radar to lose its track and go into a search mode to reacquire the target. This process then repeats itself. [8]
GATING - (1) The process of selecting those portions of a signal that exist during one or more selected time intervals. (2) (Radar) The application of enabling or inhibiting pulses during part of a cycle of equipment operation. [3]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square_wave
A square wave is a basic kind of non-sinusoidal waveform encountered in electronics and signal processing. An ideal square wave alternates regularly and instantaneously between two levels, which may or may not include zero.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Types_and_uses_of_radar
Radar has many different types and applications:
"Search radars" scan a wide area with pulses of short radio waves. They usually scan the area two to four times a minute. The waves are usually less than a meter long. Ships and planes are metal, and reflect radio waves. The radar measures the distance to the reflector by measuring the time from emission of a pulse to reception, and dividing by the speed of light. To be accepted, the received pulse has to lie within a period of time called the range gate. The radar determines the direction because the short radio waves behave like a search light when emitted from the reflector of the radar set's antenna.
"Targeting radars" use the same principle but scan a much smaller area far more often, usually several times a second or more, where a search radar might scan a few times per minute. Some targeting radars have a range gate that can track a target, to eliminate clutter and electronic counter-measures.

Gate Circuit
The gate circuit develops pulses which synchronize the indicator with the transmitter. The gate circuit itself is synchronized by trigger pulses from the synchronizer. It then provides timing for the intensity gate generator, sweep generator circuit, and the sweep control circuit.
While the PPI-Scope at older radar sets is synchronized by trigger pulses directly from the modulator, e.g. the Synchronizer of the ASR-910 provides a special scope-trigger (TA-39).
Sawtooth- Generator
The sweep generator circuit produces currents which deflect an electron beam across the crt. Varying voltages from the sweep control circuit are applied to deflection coils.
Gate voltages determine sweep rate, and therefore, the effective distance (range) covered by each sweep.
The amplitudes of the sawtooth sweep currents are varied sinusoidally (like a sine wave), corresponding to the rotation of the antenna. Notice that there is a 90 degree phase difference between the amplitude variations of the horizontal and vertical waveforms.
The sawtooth current is required to produce a linear trace. A deflection coil may be considered equivalent to the circuit shown in the diagram. Because of the inductance of the coil, a trapezoidal voltage must be applied across the coil to produce a sawtooth of current through it.

Garo Yepremian (football player)
- Springfield University's star kicker based on this Albanian (?) field-goal kicker who played for the Dolphins
Kickers are the unsung heroes of (American) football. In football, the touchdown is usually the main event, so most of the glory goes to the quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers who engineer them. The kicker is a crucial part of a winning team. Since he is usually the one who scores all the field goals, and is credited with the point-after kick following a touchdown, he will often be the one who scores the most points for a team over a season. Even so, the place kicker is sort of a low-key position, it's a subtly humorous point he would be the team's star player.
The fact that Andre Lubchenko, the Nittany Tide's kicker, is a foreigner is also no coincidence. Many kickers in the pros are people who hail from countries where soccer (that *other* football) is popular.
