Somewhere in the Night

Yesterday, the mail finally came through with a replacement bicycle tube I ordered after I got back from my recent demoralizing excursion into downtown Spokane, your Monkey-God successfully tempted.

My first plan was to quickly get it changed so I could go out today, Friday, for a ride, before the cold weather gets really brutal around here.

I wanted to get to Coeur d'Alene at least one time more and that was my first objective. But after that ride last week - made tremendously worse by my stubbornness to not take the metro bus back, causing me to endure that monsoonal rainburst - my confidence in that bicycle is at its lowest and the route into Spokane gives me the option for the metro bus, unlike Coeur d'Alene, which I hope will someday soon connect the metro bus lines with Spokane.

So that was my first plan. I would have have been there today if I had gone through with that plan, which I wanted to do.

Still haven't changed the flat. Hope the tube fits.

I've never actually ventured inside the Spokane Convention Center, much less the upper floors. I don't even know what areas are open to wander around in looking at stuff in there.
