When "Don" makes his escape, he has to beat off his former survivor roommate "Jacob" and "Don" turns "Jacob" into a bloody pulp in the river by running him over with the outboard motor of the boat that he and "Don" were escaping to, being the only two to make it out of the house he and the others were holed up in. His wife is shown on a top floor window looking down at "Don" as "Don" is running for the boat while a group of cannibal zombies are chasing him. His wife, "Alice" shows up later and when "Don" kisses her, the plague breaks out again because she is a carrier of the plague. I haven't watched that DVD in a while and I am trying to remember if he escapes at the end. The video does show his wife, who did not exhibit any indications of being a zombie, other than being bitten by one, that she was incinerated by the firebombing of the United States military but she was already dead because "Don" ripped out her throat while she was restrained on a hospital bed. He then goes on a rampage and sets off the plague among the civilians in the safe zone area. The infection and the conversion of humans into zombies was caused only by a single bite by the infected or by the infected vomiting blood on the uninfected. As I recall, in this film, the conversion always was almost instantaneous. In the 2004 film "Dawn of the Dead," the conversion rate was variable. Some people converted instantly while others had a delayed conversion. In the racketeering production of the 2010 television "The Walking Dead" which is scheduled to begin in October 2011, the conversion happens after the human dies from a bite from the infected cannibal zombies.

Man pees in drinking water reservoir; officials to flush 8.5 million gallons
Portlanders have a good reason to drink bottled water this week after a man was caught urinating in one of the city’s water reservoirs.
City officials say they have to flush about 8.5 million gallons of the city’s drinking water because of the “yuck factor.” The 21-year-old who peed in the reservoir told police he was drinking Coors and thought the reservoir was a sewage treatment plant, according to media reports.
Here’s a report from Portland’s KATU television:
It will cost more than $7,500 to empty the reservoir, and that drinking water would have sold for more than $28,000. Now, it’s money down the drain.
“It’s 8 million gallons and there are people who will say it’s an overreaction,” said David Shaff, administrator for the Portland Water Bureau. “I don’t think so. I think just dealing with the ‘yuck factor,’ I can imagine how many people would be saying ‘I made orange juice with that water this morning. That’s not what I want to hear.’”
Shaff said they do find other things in reservoirs but don’t dump the water.
“If I shut down the reservoir every time a tennis ball, a dead duck or a dead squirrel or a Frisbee was in the reservoir, I’d shut them down almost daily,” he said.
The Oregonian reports that a tiny bit of urine probably doesn’t pose any health risks:
Dr. Gary Oxman — the Multnomah County health officer who advises officials on infectious diseases such as salmonella, hepatitis and H1N1 — said the average bladder holds 6 to 8 ounces of urine and would be vastly diluted in a reservoir.
“The health risk associated with that is really, really tiny,” he said. But because of concerns about the unknown objects, he did say draining the water is “an appropriate thing to do.”
The pee-pee caper is being reviewing for possible charges.
