BORN TO RUN
In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway 9
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected
And steppin' out over the line
Baby this town rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while we're young
'Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Yes girl we were
Wendy let me in, I wanna be your friend
I want to guard your dreams and visions
Just wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims
And strap your hands across my engines
Together we could break this trap
We'll run till we drop, baby we'll never go back
Will you walk with me out on the wire
'Cause baby I'm just a scared and lonely rider
But I gotta know how it feels
I want to know if love is wild
Girl I want to know if love is real
Oh can you show me
Beyond the Palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
The girls comb their hair in rear-view mirrors
And the boys try to look so hard
The amusement park rises bold and stark
Kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you Wendy on the streets tonight
In an everlasting kiss
The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide
Together, Wendy, we can live with the sadness
I'll love you with all the madness in my soul
Someday girl I don't know when we're gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go and we'll walk in the sun
But till then tramps like us baby we were born to run

2003 MINISERIES
Forty years after the Cylon Wars, humanity's deadliest enemies return with a vengeance.
In a sudden, devastating nuclear attack, the Cylon robots — who have now taken human form — wipe out billions of people. Only a ragtag fleet of Colonial forces is left to shepherd humanity's few survivors to safety. Commander William Adama, a veteran of the Cylon Wars and the highest-ranking military officer left alive, reactivates the battlestar Galactica to once again face his greatest nemeses.
His son, Lee Adama, callsign "Apollo," joins the fight alongside the fleet's best pilot, Kara Thrace, callsign "Starbuck." With the president and most of his senior cabinet killed in the attack, Secretary of Education Laura Roslin is sworn in as the new president of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. As Adama and Roslin debate whether to fight or flee, the Cylons launch a sneak attack on the new president's ship, Colonial One.
Forced into an uneasy alliance, President Roslin and Commander Adama do their best to lead the military into battle and the civilians to safety. Gaius Baltar, the decadent genius who inadvertently helped the Cylons infiltrate the government's defense systems, has been rescued and treasured as one of humanity's last great intellectuals. No one has yet discovered Baltar's involvement in the Cylon attack — or that he is still haunted, and possibly controlled, by visions of the seductive Cylon "Number Six."
Aboard the Galactica, Baltar's superior intellect ironically leads to his designation as the authority on all things Cylon. Outnumbered and outgunned, Adama reluctantly concedes that President Roslin was correct — this battle was lost before it had begun. With no choice but to flee, humanity's survivors set out in search of the mythic 13th Colony of Kobol ... a legendary planet known as Earth.

Battlestar Galactica (2003 Miniseries) - Part 1.0
Episode Number: 1
Season Num: 1
First Aired: Monday December 8, 2003
Over forty years have passed since the end of the Cylon War, contested between the humans of the Twelve Colonies and man's creation, the Cylons.
The Galactica, one of the original twelve battlestars, is scheduled to be decommissioned. As part of the ceremonies, Commander Adama's son Lee ("Apollo") is named to fly Adama's restored Viper. Lee's return opens old wounds when they discuss the fate of Adama's other son, Zak.
Meanwhile, in Caprica City, the famous scientist Gaius Baltar argues against limits on research into artificial intelligence. He also has a sensual new lover with a mysterious agenda of her own.
Adama: The Cylon War is long over, yet we must not forget the reasons why so many sacrificed so much in the cause of freedom. The cost of wearing the uniform can be high, but -- (long pause) sometimes it's too high. You know, when we fought the Cylons, we did it to save ourselves from extinction. But we never answered the question, why? Why are we as a people worth saving? We still commit murder because of greed, spite, jealousy. And we still visit all of our sins upon our children. We refuse to accept the responsibility for anything that we've done. Like we did with the Cylons. We decided to play God, create life. When that life turned against us, we comforted ourselves in the knowledge that it really wasn't our fault, not really. You cannot play God, then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore.
Number Six: (to Baltar) And even now, as the fate of your entire world hangs in the balance, all you can think about is how this affects you.
The history of the Galactica
The public relations official Aaron Doral notes that the battlestar Galactica was built over 50 years ago, during the early days of the Cylon War. The fleet originally included only 12 battlestars, each representing one of Kobol's 12 colonies. The Galactica represented Caprica. Commander Nash was the first commander of the Galactica

Season 1, Episode 1: 33
Original Air Date: 18 October 2004
Following the destruction of the Colonies, the refugee fleet led by Galactica has been relentlessly chased by the Cylons who pop up every 33 minutes to attack again, and have been doing so for five days straight. 33 minutes gives them barely long enough to calculate a jump and distribute the coordinates to each ship. The perpetual attacks and jumps to escape prevent anyone from sleeping for very long, even if they aren't involved in keeping the fleet moving. The equipment is also stressed to the point that, finally, a passenger ship called the 'Olympic Carrier' is left behind, rebooting their jump computer when the jump is executed. When the Olympic Carrier suddenly jumps in to rejoin the fleet some time later, it seems certain that the ship must have been infiltrated.
Season 1, Episode 2: Water
Original Air Date: 25 October 2004
President Roslin arrives on Galactica as Boomer's Cylon side asserts itself, forcing her to sabotage Galactica's water supply against her will. A series of explosions leads to the loss of 60% of the water reserves and Commander Adama is compelled to introduce rationing and begin a search of nearby planetary systems for any H20 deposits.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/33_%28Battlestar_Galactica%29
"33" is the first episode of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica television series. It followed the events of the miniseries. "33" won the 2005 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form. The episode drew a 2.6 household Nielsen rating, attracting 3.1 million viewers
The convoy of refugee ships is relentlessly and repeatedly attacked by the Cylons. The fleet must execute a faster-than-light jump to escape the Cylons each time they appear, but the Cylons always reappear at their new co-ordinates exactly 33 minutes later. The fleet's crews, particularly those aboard Galactica who must fight a delaying action to cover every jump, have been operating without sleep for 133 hours (over five days) and face the strain of constant action. Most of the episode focuses on the perils of the constant escape.
Meanwhile, on Caprica, Lt. Karl Agathon (call-sign "Helo") is still alive and running for his life from Cylon patrols. While being chased, he still manages to lure two Cylon Centurions into an ambush, setting off explosives to destroy them. Helo is surprised when he sees that his raptor pilot Lt. Sharon "Boomer" Valerii has returned to Caprica to rescue him. Little does he know that she is not only a Cylon, but not even "his" Sharon— that copy is aboard Galactica.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharon_Valerii
Lieutenant Junior Grade Sharon 'Boomer' Valerii, Number Eight,[1] and Lieutenant Sharon 'Athena' Valerii Agathon refer to a collection of humanoid Cylon characters on the television series Battlestar Galactica, a reimagining of the classic show of the same name. They are portrayed by Grace Park. Two prominent Number Eight copies named "Sharon Valerii" have served as Galactica pilots using the respective call signs "Boomer" and "Athena".
Sharon "Boomer" Valerii
Lieutenant Junior Grade Sharon "Boomer" Valerii is a Cylon sleeper agent programmed to believe that she is human. For example, she has been implanted with false memories of being raised on Troy by her parents Katherine and Abraham Valerii, who supposedly died in an accident that killed all the members on the mining colony (whether or not Katherine and Abraham actually existed is unknown). In the time before the mini-series, Boomer and Chief Galen Tyrol are romantically involved, despite the fact that their relationship is against military protocol (she is an officer, he is enlisted). Due to her programming, she performs a number of sabotage actions (including bombing the Galactica's water tanks), which she has no conscious memory of, although in time she begins to suspect something may be wrong with her. She even asks Gaius Baltar to administer a blood test to find out if she is a Cylon. Although his test demonstrates that she is in fact a Cylon, for his own reasons he tells her she is not. She is greatly relieved for a while, but over time becomes increasingly aware that something is wrong with her, and even attempts suicide. Tyrol hides evidence that would implicate her in the water bombing, but later suspicious events cause him to break off his relationship with her.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galen_Tyrol
Chief Petty Officer Galen Tyrol is a character on the television series Battlestar Galactica. Tyrol is responsible for the maintenance of the Vipers and Raptors aboard Battlestar Galactica. After the events of the miniseries, he is the ship's highest-ranking non-commissioned officer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innsbruck
Innsbruck is a city in western Austria, and the capital of the federal state of Tyrol. It is located in the Inn valley at the junction with the Wipptal (Sill River) which provides access to the Brennerpass, some 30 km south of Innsbruck. Located in the broad valley between high mountains, the Nordkette (Hafelekar, 2,334 m) in the north, Patscherkofel (2,246 m) and Serles (2,718 m) in the south, it is an internationally renowned winter sports centre. The name translated means the bridge over the Inn (Brücke=bridge)
Earliest traces suggest initial inhabitation in the early Stone Age. Pre-Roman place names show that the area has been populated continuously. In the 4th Century the Romans established the army station Veldidena (the name survives in todays urban district Wilten) to protect the economically important commercial road from Verona-Brenner-Augsburg. This road was destroyed during the Völkerwanderung in the 4th century. The first mention of Innsbruck dates back to 1187 (Oeni Pontum or oeni pons which is Latin for bridge (pons) over the inn (oenus)), which was an important crossing point over the river Inn. The city's seal and coat of arms show a bird's-eye view of the Inn bridge, a design used since 1267. The route over the Brenner Pass was then a major transport and communications link between the north and the south, and the easiest route across the Alps. The revenues generated by serving as a transit station enabled the city to flourish.
Innsbruck became the capital of all Tyrol in 1429 and later in 15th century the city became a centre of European politics and culture as emperor Maximilian I moved the imperial court to Innsbruck in the 1490s.

Subject: Re: Star Trek: TNG: First Contact, Nov. 22, 1996
There was that dream I had the other night, where I was inside a missile. I remembered today the similarity with this movie, in that Cochrane converted an ICBM into his warp ship. But why would someone create a connection between me and Cochrane? I didn't create warp drive in the past only to have someone block my memory of that, did I? It's funny, when I read something the other day about Data arguing with Einstein, it reminded me of something I was writing in my journal back in the early '90s. I was wondering why it was impossible to travel faster than the speed of light. A couple years ago I was writing about it again. The idea presented itself to me about why it was impossible, something about atoms not being able to work because electrons could not transfer energy faster than the speed of light. I wondered if it was possible to create some kind of process to transfer energy to those atoms, not unlike a cell's mitochondria works. Today I have been wondering if anything I remember about the past is real. Do I have a different past? Am I really who I think I am? The stuff I imagine happening to me sometimes, did that stuff really happen? I wonder if these movies and tv shows have actually been sort of inoculations, to keep me from questioning my reality. I do question reality sometimes, but it wasn't until I saw that Matrix movie a while back, did I really start to wonder about reality. But it didn't seem to matter, I wasn't overly concerned that I may be living that kind of false reality. I still don't think I am living such an extreme unreality as in the Matrix, but I wonder if there is a divergence point in my life, a shadow, a distorted period. Or have I been living a life like in the movie Soldier, or maybe like in Blade Runner, where Rachael, and I assume Harrison Ford's character, have false memories of their life. Am I Harrison Ford's character in this reality? A replicant searching for replicants? I haven't been able to follow Battlestar Galactica this past year, but I think that theme is showing up there, with Chief Tyrol.

Season 1
Episode 3
After a source of water is located on a nearby moon, Apollo suggests the use of the 1,500 prisoners aboard the Astral Queen to extract it, but President Roslin does not want to institute slave labor, and instead believes that the prisoners should have the choice to work in exchange for "points" towards early freedom. She assembles a delegation consisting of Apollo, her personal aide Billy Keikeya, Petty Officer Anastasia Dualla, and Specialist Cally.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cally_Tyrol
Cally Tyrol (also known as Specialist Cally, Deckhand Cally, or Crewman Cally) is a fictional character from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series. She is played by actress Nicki Clyne.
Cally currently works as an air maintenance Specialist on Galactica's flight deck and is married to her boss, CPO Galen Tyrol, with whom she has a son. The character's full name has never been revealed officially by the show, though various secondary sources seem to indicate that her maiden name was Henderson and her married name is Tyrol (see below).
As of the end of season three she is not yet aware that her husband is a Cylon and their son is actually a Cylon/Human hybrid like Hera Agathon.
Until the third season, Cally, along with Doctor Cottle, were the only frequently recurring characters who had yet to be given a full name. Through the first and second seasons she was referred to as "Cally" in most of the spoken dialogue.
The character was originally listed as "Crewman Specialist Cally" in the show credits, implying that "Cally" was the actually character's surname. Tyrol even once referred to her to as "Specialist Cally" in "The Farm". In the non-canon novelization of the Battlestar Galactica mini-series, "Cally" is clearly identified as the character's surname with her first name begin is given as Jane. On the other hand, the Peter David tie-in novel Sagittarius Is Bleeding identifies her as "Callista Henderson". Since the Colonies seem to have similar conventions regarding maiden names, following her marriage to Galen Tyrol she would likely be known as "Cally Tyrol", assuming "Cally" was her first name.
Battlestar Galactica writer Bradley Thompson has appeared on the Battlestar Wiki discussion pages and said that Cally is the character's first name and her last name is Henderson. Thompson has also made comments to this effect at Comic-Con. According to him, the art department used the name "Henderson" to label her locker, uniform, and other in-show props that belong to the character, though none of these have ever been clearly seen on the show. Actress Nicki Clyne herself has acknowledged in interviews that although not spoken in dialogue so far, season three scripts had her listed as "Cally Henderson-Tyrol". Though none of this is specifically canon, many fans have taken it as such, hence the title of this article.

Persis was a Human augment, a product of 20th century genetic engineering, who was brought to life by Arik Soong in 2134. She and the rest of her "brothers" and "sisters" were raised by Soong on planet Trialas IV, participating in classroom-like sessions taught by Soong. When Soong was captured and incarcerated for the theft of the Augment embryos in 2144, Persis and the other Augment children were left to survive on their own on Trialas. (ENT: "Borderland", "Cold Station 12")
Persis chose to become the consort of the Augment leader, Raakin, taking the strongest for herself. However, she later fell in love with Malik and, following the latter's takeover of a Klingon Bird-of-Prey, Persis assisted Malik in the plot to rise against Raakin. Persis persuaded Raakin to make the first move against Malik, who was then able to plan ahead by sabotaging Raakin's weapon and gathering followers to trap their former leader. Persis regretted the betrayal and apologized to Raakin before Malik killed him, claiming it as an "act of mercy". (ENT: "Borderland")

I grew up in De Queen, AR and went to school there from 1st to 8th grade. For the 9th thru 12th, I went to Ashdown, AR, and we lived north of Ashdown in Wilton, AR. In between De Queen and Wilton is Lockesburg, AR. It's almost in the direct center of the two although it's a little off. I wouldn't be surprised if someone is now modifying the map data on some of this stuff now that I am making note of it.

I find myself thinking about this time a long time ago. I may have been in the 4th grade at the time, I don't remember. One of us, maybe me, accidentally made up the fold-out sofa bed with the dog still in it. She stayed in there all day. I came home from school and sat down on the sofa wondering where she was. Then I started hearing her faintly crying out, but I couldn't tell where the sound was coming from. This other neighbor kid was sitting on the couch too, we had to have been crushing her. Eventually I realized she was inside the couch and let her out. She jumped out and ran to the water bowl. I can certainly understand how that dog must have felt.

1854 miles is the distance from the Lottery/GPS numbers to the map center of the town of Mokuleia, which is where they are filming the series Lost. 1854 miles is also the distance from those Lottery/GPS numbers to the first place I stayed when I moved to Bellevue in 1998 to work for Microsoft. I wonder if my flight number from Charlotte to Seattle was 815?

Commander Data is again working on his acting, portraying Prospero from Shakespeare's play "The Tempest" on the holodeck.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prospero
Prospero is the protagonist in The Tempest, a play by William Shakespeare.
He was the rightful Duke of Milan who (with his daughter, Miranda) was sent off on a boat to die by his usurping brother Antonio so that he could become duke. As Milan is a landlocked city, it is not clear how Antonio did this. Prospero and Miranda survived on the boat and found exile on a small island. He had learned sorcery and while on the island he uses it to control the other characters. On the island, he became the master of Caliban and Ariel.
By chance, Antonio sails near this island and Prospero conjures the eponymous storm that forces him (and others) ashore.

Opening title card: On March 3, 1969 the United States Navy established an elite school for the top one percent of its pilots. Its purpose was to teach the lost art of aerial combat and to insure that the handful of men who graduated were the best fighter pilots in the world. They succeeded. Today, the Navy calls it Fighter Weapons School. The flyers call it: TOP GUN.
Jester: That was some of the best flying I've seen to date - right up to the part where you got killed.
