Bill Gates set a conference abuzz when he opened a jar of mosquitoes onstage to make a point about malaria prevention.
"There's no reason only poor people should have the experience," the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft said at the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference Wednesday in Long Beach.
Audience members including technology leaders laughed nervously as the insects swarmed across the auditorium. Gates assured them that the bugs were not carrying malaria.

Kensi and Deeks head to the store where Porter's girlfriend works and as they are walking through, Eric wonders if Hetty cooks. Kensi states that if she does it is with a pot from Singapore, a spoon given to her by a Shaman and a cookbook written is Swahili. They find Diane and ask if they can talk with her, showing her their badges. She explains that her bosses will dock her pay if she leaves the floor and since she wasn't married to Tom, she is eligible for bereavement leave. They pretend to be shopping and Diane asks if they found out who did this. Kensi states they were hoping she could help them out, as her boss comes out from the back, staring at Diane. Kensi looks at Deeks and tells him that she sees a crock-pot in his future. Deeks heads over to the boss, distracting her from Diane. Diane and Kensi continue talking about if Tom was in trouble and Diane states that he was a great guy. Diane states that she needs to why he was killed and then tells Kensi that he was different after he came back from Iraq. He talked about plasma TVs, sports car, expensive watches and started looking at rings. She explains that she found one with a simple and tiny diamond that she really loved. But Tom told her it wasn't big enough. Kensi asks if he might have been cheating on her and Diane admits that he flirted, adding that she got jealous. Diane starts crying, stating she was so stupid, as Kensi comforts her.

A Marine with a top-level security clearance is found dead and missing a hand in Beverly Hills. His death appears to be connected to a recent tour in Iraq.
At a Beverly Hills mall, security guards are monitoring the mall when they see a couple fighting. As they are watching the couple they see a man running down the escalator. They follow him through the mall, losing him in the crowds. They find him in the parking level, fighting with another man and send another guard to locate him. Once the guard gets there, he hears a scream and finds a man with his hand chopped off.
