"we must not forget" & "so many sacrificed so much" - Do you understand what they are threatening to do?

Nazi propaganda

Propaganda, the coordinated attempt to influence public opinion through the use of media, was skillfully used by the Nazi Party in the years leading up to and during Adolf Hitler's leadership of Germany (1933–1945). Nazi propaganda provided a crucial instrument for acquiring and maintaining power, and for the implementation of their policies, including the pursuit of total war and the extermination of millions of people in the Holocaust.

Aaron Doral - Colonial Public Relations: And now it is my great pleasure to introduce the last commander of the Battlestar Galactica, Commander Adama.

Decommissioning ceremony crowd: [ Applause ]

Commander William Adama - Colonial Fleet Battlestar Galactica Commanding Officer: Thank you very much. The Cylon War is long over, yet we must not forget the reasons why so many sacrificed so much in the cause of freedom. The cost of wearing the uniform can be high but... [ very long pause ] Sometimes it's too high. You know, when we fought the Cylons, we did it to save ourselves from extinction. But we never answered the question, why? Why are we as a people worth saving? We still commit murder because of greed, spite, jealousy. And we still visit all of our sins upon our children. We refuse to accept the responsibility for anything that we've done. Like we did with the Cylons. We decided to play God, create life. When that life turned against us, we comforted ourselves in the knowledge that it really wasn't our fault, not really. You cannot play God then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore.

Biological warfare

Biological warfare (BW) — also known as germ warfare — is the deliberate use of disease-causing biological agents such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, or biological toxins, to kill or incapacitate humans, animals or plants as an act of war. Biological weapons (often termed "bio-weapons" or "bio-agents") are living organisms or replicating entities (viruses) that reproduce or replicate within their host victims.

Biological weapons may be employed in various ways to gain a strategic or tactical advantage over an adversary, either by threat or by actual deployment.

LONG BEACH, Calif. —

Bill Gates set a conference abuzz when he opened a jar of mosquitoes onstage to make a point about malaria prevention.

"There's no reason only poor people should have the experience," the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft said at the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference Wednesday in Long Beach.

Audience members including technology leaders laughed nervously as the insects swarmed across the auditorium. Gates assured them that the bugs were not carrying malaria.

Memorable quotes for

Battlestar Galactica (2003) (TV)

Number Six: What are you doing?

Baltar: Phoning my attorney.

Number Six: That won't be necessary.

Baltar: Nah, he'll know what to do. He'll sort this out. He's the best in the business.

Number Six: It won't be necessary because in a few hours no one will be left to charge you with anything.

Baltar: What exactly are you saying?

Number Six: Humanity's children are returning home. Today.
