I guess I know why today I was suddenly compelled to purchase a new toaster. Last year, my apartment flooded due to a fire sprinkler line that froze and burst, they tell me, and I threw away my toaster because all that crap from the apartment's above was streaming out throughout the ceiling. I used that toaster just about every day but I did not feel like replacing it all during this past year. Until today. Today I was suddenly compelled to purchase a new toaster and so I did. I wanted to pick up some other stuff but no, only the toaster. The toaster would be the only item on the electronic transaction I generated with my bank card because without the electronic transaction then it "wouldn't count" whatever that means. So just one hour before I went to see this film I bought a new toaster and I had it with me in my backpack after I sat down in the theatre to watch this film.

I have found myself thinking more about those columns of smoke rising from the back of 1967 blue Chevrolet. But I feel as though I am trying to remember a moment of flashback in my reality. I think of myself sitting in a car, it is a Mustang, and there is a woman in the passenger seat. Out of the corner of my eye, I see smoke rising behind us and I have a strong flashback, thinking they are incoming missiles and I need to react quickly without thinking. I have these thoughts that I tore off the gear shift thinking it was the stick in my aircraft. And I think I twisted the steering wheel to evade but then I think I probably grabbed the door handle or something on the door thinking it was the throttle. Then I think about that scene from "Unbreakable" and I wonder if I crashed the car in the midst of my flashback. I want to say I was in Hawaii at the time, home on leave after perhaps being in Lebanon in the early 80's. There was something else I wanted to note about this but it just slipped my mind. That seems to be happening more often. It drives me crazy not having access to a computer at any hour of the day.

The Smoking Man

The Smoking Man (sometimes referred to as Cancer Man, the Cigarette-Smoking Man, CSM or C-Man) is a fictional character and the primary antagonist of the Fox science fiction television series The X-Files. He serves as the arch-nemesis of FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder, as well as being revealed to be Mulder's biological father.
The Smoking Man is portrayed by Canadian actor William B. Davis.
Within the series, the birth date and birthplace of the Smoking Man is never revealed. Much of his background is purportedly revealed in the fourth season episode "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man", where one of the conspiracy theorists known as The Lone Gunmen claims Smoking Man was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on August 20, 1940.
