In another dream, the day before, last night maybe when I took a nap, I was walking up some stairs. I seemed to be coming up from a subway tunnel. I was wearing a very realistic Batman costume. But I didn't have the cowl covering my head. The costume was heavy or I just felt tired. I walked past someone I knew. I said something to her that reminded me of something I said to someone in that restaurant in 1999 when someone asked me what I did in my personal time. There was someother stuff that happened in the dream. At one point, I responded to a question that had something to do with "vice president" by replying "Sure it is. I was vice president of the National Honor Society." I am not sure what that was supposed to mean. There was also something about "putting our heads together."

If I did escape from Libya and then made my way across Africa to Djibouti, then it seems I would have had to go through Sudan. I wonder if I got involved in helping those people get the food that was being kept from them.

Twitter is celebrating its fifth birthday - it's five years to the day since co-founder Jack Dorsey sent the first ever tweet on the fledgling social networking service, telling fellow founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone that he was 'just setting up my twttr'.
Dorsey's first tweet, sent at 8:50pm on March 21 2006, was quickly followed by tweets from co-founders Stone and Williams - who both posted exactly the same message.

Five short years since it started, Twitter has become part of the fabric of society for tens of millions of users who regularly tweet about their lives and experiences in no more than 140 characters.
And it all started on 21 March 21, 2006 with the brief and banal tweet sent by co-founder Jack Dorsey simply saying "inviting coworkers".
For the last 10 days, Mr Dorsey has been ploughing through his archives to re-send some of the tweets he first sent out.

Dorsey was evidently one of the key people in the early days of Twitter, and today he still serves as the company's executive chairman and product lead, combining the job with his role as CEO of Square (another company he co-founded).

The rule of felony murder is a legal doctrine in some common law jurisdictions that broadens the crime of murder in two ways. First, when an offender kills accidentally or without specific intent to kill in the commission of a felony, the offender can be charged with murder. Another theory is that I met up with another group of American soldiers trying to get me out and I re-established contact briefly with the military. I am still thinking I received 5 Medals Of Honor before 1998, but I am wondering about the time frames. I wonder if 2 of those was in Vietnam and then the other 3 was from the 80's. Or maybe I got all 5 after I entered the USNA. I think the STS-1 flight was the Congressional Space Medal Of Honor. From what I read, that can be worn on my uniform, but all my military decorations take precedence, so it doesn't really have any weight as the military decorations for heroism in combat. I think one of those Medal of Honor was for Iraq in 1981. Another for Libya in 1986. And then USS Roberts in 1988.

Another one of those dreams I feel compelled to record but I am afraid I won't get all the details recorded.
In the first part, I was sitting in a room, seemed to be some kind of waiting room, as in it was a place I was waiting. Some other people, women perhaps, came in there and sat down. Then there seemed to be a bus driver and I realized I was on a bus but I didn't realize it was a bus until I walked out of the room that must have been in the front of the bus, judging by where I walked, and before I went into the area that was the regular area of the bus, I seemed to have heard the bus driver saying something about how those other people should have gotten off. Then I was in the regular area of the bus and there were a lot of people in the seats, some may have turned to look at me, and then I was looking at the front seat, which was empty and I was going to sit there. Then I was exploring a large mansion that seemed to be mine. I wish I could remember some scenes that occurred in that house before I started walking around. I might have been going somewhere specific but I'm not certain. There are some parts here that I want to remember but cannot. I vaguely remember going down some stairs but not sure. I do remember walking around outside in the yard and I sense there was a pool. I have some vague thoughts about swimming. I also have the vague sense of walls surrounding that location. It was nighttime. I remember opening some doors and I think there was something worrying about that but I cannot explain why and I also thing that part might be out of sequence. A couple women were approaching me on their way somewhere and I think they were asking me who I was or maybe I asked them first who they were. They said something about inspecting "greenery" but I couldn't get a straight answer from them as I followed them towards a gate they were trying to leave through. I wanted to know how often they came by to inspect whatever it was they were there for but I couldn't get a clear answer from them. Then they were gone and I was walking back towards the house and I think I could see my wife standing on one of the floors of the house. There seemed to be a lot of floors on the house and she was high up. Then a group of dogs was around me and I guess they were guard dogs. A doberman was very affectionate and was pressed tightly to me. There was something about how I had killed another dog. I think that affectionate doberman was my wife, in the sense of how I wrote about Randy Romine's Princess the other day. There was something about the other dogs but I can't remember those details now. But I remember that doberman wasn't going to let me get away or....something.

I had a dream with a short sequence in it where I was having trouble breathing. There was something about my throat closing up and I was going to pass out very quickly. There is a chemical weapon that causes muscles to lock up but I can't remember off-hand which one it is.

Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale (December 23, 1923–July 5, 2005) was one of the most highly decorated officers in the history of the United States Navy. Shot down over enemy territory in 1965, Stockdale was the highest ranking naval officer held as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. He was released in 1973. He was awarded 26 personal combat decorations, including the Medal of Honor and four Silver Stars.
Stockdale led the U.S. air squadron during the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin Incident. During the late 1970s, he served as President of the Naval War College. Stockdale is also remembered as an ill-fated Vice Presidential candidate in the 1992 election, on Ross Perot's independent ticket.
Perot eventually re-entered the race in the fall of 1992 with Stockdale still in place as the vice-presidential nominee. Stockdale was not informed that he would be participating in the October 13 vice-presidential debate held in Atlanta, Georgia, until a week before the event. He had no formal preparation for the debate, unlike his opponents Al Gore and Dan Quayle. Stockdale infamously opened the debate by saying, "Who am I? Why am I here?" Initially, the rhetorical questions drew applause from the audience [5], seeming to be a good-natured acknowledgment of his relatively unknown status and lack of traditional qualifications. I guess it's very possible I was piloting one of the transports or the helos into Iran in 1980. If I flew an F-16 all the way to Baghdad carrying a couple -84s at 100 feet off the ground, then dodged anti-aircraft, I assume very heavy fire judging from my memory from the Wainwright, and then hitting the target, I must have been a pretty good pilot. And I was remembering something Randy Romine said about 100 feet. We were going to go scuba diving in De Queen lake and I asked him how deep we were going. And I remember thinking about, this seems weird, that the lake was deeper than that. What was the point, was something I remember thinking. These questions represent something much different, but I can't figure out what it is.
I'm the proudest homeless guy in this place. So I got that going for me.

The citation for Commander Lassen, namesake of DDG-82, has some references to his mission and how he almost ran out of fuel while rescuing to airman on the ground. That reminds me of those thoughts I was writing of about how I ran out of fuel during the Osirak strike. One theory, but that I am still not certain of, was that I had to land or was shot down, and one of the F-15s landed in the desert to pick me up. One other theory is that after the strike, Iraqi aircraft began launching to pursue us so I turned and engaged a group of approaching aircraft to draw them away from the other departing F-16’s to give them a chance to make it back to base. I have been thinking that I lured the over Baghdad into their own air defenses. My thoughts continue that I was assuming the Iraqi defenses would assume that another raid was in progress to strike Baghdad and would shoot at any approaching aircraft. Don’t know if that really happened, but I still have those thoughts.

The automatic teller machine (ATM) has just turned 30.
On June 4, 1973, a trio of inventors-Don Wetzel, Tom Barnes and George Chastain-were granted a patent on the machine, the idea for which is largely credited to Wetzel even though there were attempts as early as 1939 to develop such an "automatic teller."
Wetzel said he first got the idea in 1968 while waiting in the lobby of a Dallas bank. At the time he was VP-product planning with Docutel, a manufacturer of automated baggage handling equipment for airlines and airports. The first working prototype was created in 1969, but the patent was not issued until four years later

On June 4, 1973, the first patent for the automated teller machine (ATM) is awarded to Don Wetzel, Tom Barnes and George Chastain of Docutel. The patent was issued following years of research at an estimated cost of $5 million.
Although Docutel was credited with the creation of the first magstripe ATM (known as the Docuteller at the time), the idea and use of less advanced ATMs dates back to the late 1930s. Several other prototypes were introduced to the public over the next 30 years, however the free-standing magstripe machine was the eventual victor and is still used by financial institutions to this day.
The first Docuteller was installed at New York City's Chemical Bank in 1969, while the first fully functioning "Total Teller" was introduced in 1971. Following the awarding of the patent in 1973, ATMs begin to spread across the nation and have remained a constant in consumer banking.

Tragedy at Gander
On the morning of 12 December 1985, at 0645 local time (0515 EST), Arrow Airlines flight 1285, a DC-8-63 charter carrying 248 passengers and a crew of eight, crashed just after takeoff from Gander International Airport, Gander, Newfoundland. All on board perished. The postcrash fire, fed by the contents of the stricken aircraft's full fuel tanks, took local firefighters nearly four hours to bring under control and approximately thirty hours to completely extinguish. The firefighters were hampered in their efforts because of the rugged terrain, which initially prevented more than one fire truck at a time from being used.
The passengers on the ill-fated charter were U.S. soldiers. All but twelve were members of 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), most of whom were from the 3d Battalion, 502d Infantry; eleven were from other Forces Command units; and one was a CID agent from the Criminal Investigations Command. They were returning to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, home station of the 101st Airborne Division, after completing a six-month tour of duty in the Sinai with the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO). This international peacekeeping organization, made up of contingents from ten nations, had been established under terms of a protocol between Egypt and Israel signed on 3 August 1981. The MFO has had the mission of implementing security provisions contained in the 1979 Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty.
Perhaps no other event in its peacetime history has so wrenched the soul and torn at the heart of the U.S. Army as the Gander tragedy, which ranked as the worst military air disaster in the nation's history.

Plot Summary
Based on the files of the United States Department of Treasury. Commissioner Michael Barrows is an American Government Agent. On board a Coast Gaurd boat off the California coast he chases a ship. The Captain of the ship, the Kira Maru, panics and ruthlessly sends 100 Chinese slaves to a watery death. Barrows recovers a live preserver that tells him the ship is out of Shanghai. He travels there to track down the ship's captain and discovers that these deaths point to a huge drug smuggling operation. In Shanghai, while searching for the captain of the Kira Maru, he becomes suspicious of a women, Ann Grant, believing she's Jean Hawks the narcotics ringleader. He follows the narcotics trail "to the ends of the Earth" taking him from Shanghai to Cairo, Beirut and Havana to stop the drugs and the jean Hawks ring at the US border.

That movie also incorporates an element of traitors working against Captain Kirk and I think that is why in reality, I was shot down. There were traitors reporting my movements to the Libyans and they set up an ambush. I have also been wondering if all my weapons on my F-14 had been sabotaged at one point, including the cannon. The cannon exploded and all the missiles missed. I did manage to hit one of the Libyan aircraft with a Sidewinder, which didn’t explode, but it did fly into the exhaust of the jet engine and destroyed the engine.
