COLDPLAY

"Don't Panic"

Bones, sinking like stones,
All that we fought for,
Homes, places we've grown,
All of us are done for.
And we live in a beautiful world,
Yeah we do, yeah we do,
We live in a beautiful world,

Bones, sinking like stones,
All that we fought for,
And homes, places we've grown,
All of us are done for.
And we live in a beautiful world,
Yeah we do, yeah we do,
We live in a beautiful world.

Here we go,
Here we go.

And we live in a beautiful world,
Yeah we do, yeah we do,
We live in a beautiful world.

Oh, all that I know,
There's nothing here to run from,
Cos yeah, everybody here's got somebody to lean on

Subject: a world for him

It rained. The procession of weary soldiers became a bedraggled train, despondent and muttering, marching with churning effort in a trough of liquid brown mud under a low, wretched sky. Yet the youth smiled, for he saw that the world was a world for him, though many discovered it to be made of oaths and walking sticks. He had rid himself of the red sickness of battle. The sultry nightmare was in the past. He had been an animal blistered and sweating in the heat and pain of war. He turned now with a lover's thirst to images of tranquil skies, fresh meadows, cool brooks--an existence of soft and eternal peace.

Over the river a golden ray of sun came through the hosts of leaden rain clouds.

THE END.

General of the Armies

General of the Armies (or in its full title General of the Armies of the United States) is the highest possible rank in the United States Army. For the next rank down, see General of the Army.

After World War II, which saw the introduction of U.S. "5-star" officers who outranked Washington, both Congress and the President revisited the issue of Washington's rank. To maintain George Washington's proper position as the first Commanding General of the United States Army, he was appointed, posthumously, to the grade of General of the Armies of the United States by congressional joint resolution Public Law 94-479 January 19, 1976, approved by President Gerald R. Ford on October 11, 1976. The law established the grade as having "rank and precedence over all other grades of the Army, past or present", clearly making it superior to General of the Army. The Department of the Army Order 31-3, issued on March 13, 1978 had an effective appointment date of July 4, 1976. The rank ensures that no United States military officer will ever outrank George Washington.

:01:30
I was there!.

:01:31
I've seen it: SAM City.

:01:32
They take 'em out of there,

:01:33
and they fire 'em at us.

:01:34
Now, if we could get

:01:37
a couple of bombs in there,

:01:39
set off some
of those warheads...

:01:44
The whole place would blow.

:01:48
A lot of guys' names
on those missiles.

:01:51
You tell me you're interested
in payback.

:01:57
That might be worth
a court-martial.

:02:00
What do you think?

:02:02
I think we should have
another look at that tape.

:02:17
Hey, man,
what are you doing up?

:02:55
That's it.

:02:58
God, look at those mothers.

:02:59
Rows and rows of them.
:03:02
If we just knew where that was.

:03:04
People's Resistance Park,
Park of the People.

:03:06
It's there somewhere.

:03:07
So that's the Land of Oz.

:03:57
Need some help?

:03:58
No.

:03:59
Red River, Paul Doumier Bridge.

:04:02
Then you follow the main
boulevard, you go right to it.

:04:06
People's Resistance Park.

:04:08
It's right across the square
from the national assembly.

:04:12
SAM City, man.

:04:15
You guys must be nuts.

:04:17
The air force won't give me
any pictures of downtown.

:04:20
I'd have to send for 'em.

:04:21
That would be like
robbing a bank

:04:23
and using your own car
for the getaway.

Wow. I must have really been trying to get away with something. With the George Bush Racketeering Syndicate breathing down my back every second of the day trying to find some kind of leverage to use against me so they could avoid the prosecution they are now facing, how dumb I would be to try to get away with something so controversal. I must have really been an idiot to think I would get away with it.

Flight of the Intruder

:20:32
May I ask the captain, why?

:20:36
Because the President
of the United States,

:20:38
Richard M. Nixon,

:20:39
is quite irritated
at the opposition

:20:41
for leaving the peace table.

:20:43
He has just ordered
Operation Linebacker II--

:20:46
the unrestricted bombing

:20:48
of all military targets
in North Vietnam.

:20:52
We'd look like real idiots
court-martialing an A-6 crew

:20:54
for doing what the President
of the United States

:20:56
just told us to do.

:20:58
If even a rumor got
back to the press,

:21:00
you can understand
the ramifications.

:21:01
Yes.

:21:03
Yes, sir.

I always thought everyone was happy
during the holidays, no matter what.

:33:54
Most people are, but some aren't.

While everybody else opens up presents,
they're opening up their wrists.

I mean, it's a lot of fun.

JOURNAL ARCHIVE: 09/19/08 9:57 AM
The line of thought I have been having again since waking up this morning is about my activities in 1976 from the perspective of Ronald Reagan. The line of thought is that he knew about my landing on the planet Mars but as with certain other people, he thought that was the only objective of my flight. With him and his wife Nancy though I created other details for them to suggest there was something more to my activities but no one actually told them specifically what I was doing out in space. Some activities I planned were that he and Nancy were invited to visit with a group of my other family members and other people on 3/3/1976 and one activity I planned for the group was to watch a film I made. The film was exclusively of Phoebe and me and of us at various times over the past few years. At one point on the film, which was of her birthday, I gave her a stuffed tiger. At another point, she said she was going to marry me someday and I asked her if that was promise. I wanted grandfather Reagan, or Pop as I called him, to remember those scenes for when he saw the film "Midway" a few months later. He and Nancy were also invited to a group of people who were watching on the night sky on 7/4/1976 for the explosion of the comet but he and Nancy were not told what it meant or that it had something to do specifically with me. The signal of the explosion eventually reached the viewers on Earth after some delay and the delay was later determined to be a miscalculation because they had not adjusted the arrival to consider that the telemetry was from my Orion ship and my Orion ship was over a million miles away from the explosion when it occurred. But they saw the light and knew at least that the detonation had occurred. At that point, I had arranged for someone to give a note from me to Reagan and I wrote something about the beautiful world and also about how I hoped to see them all again in the near future.

JOURNAL ARCHIVE: 09/19/08 10:17 AM
The reason I wanted him to watch that film about Phoebe and me was simply so he would understand that I was determined to make it back home.

I had to drift along with the remains of the comet after I broke it up on 7/4/1976. There was a good chance that the planet Jupiter could grab the fragments and deflect it onto a course to the inner solar system. After that did not happen, I was near to the planet Jupiter with only days of oxygen left and I made my first landing on the moon Callisto.
