I knew it.
My memory is vague now, and without the reinforcement of nostalgia I have requested from other sources, but I am wondering how many times I have watched this film and thought she reminded me of Karen.
Rhonda was obviously there in Ashdown because I was there. She showed up at my after-school job and started working there too. She drove that car that reminds me of that car the woman drives in the 1983 "Blue Thunder" as I wrote about here before. I don't know if she was in my senior year high school yearbook similar to Lesa Jewell during my junior year.
I saw her Facebook page a while back when and that sure takes me back. She looks so much as I remember her. I have thought consistently now for many of the past years those weren't even her real parents. I remember all those times during my senior year I drove her to school.
I decided to make this note because of the last time I saw her.
I have been contemplating the implications of how deer season in 1982 (I remember the gag gift she gave me for the 1983 season) started in November 1982 and "An Officer and a Gentleman" premiered a few months before that according to information I read on Imdb.com in the past decade and even "Rambo" was just before deer season 1982 and what strikes me most, Goose, is that "Heartbreak Ridge" is listed as premiering in December 1986 and I know I saw Rhonda just a few short weeks before that. I know that because Micheal was still alive and I was home on leave. I saw her again because I was drunk and I was sitting at the steering wheel asleep in my Nissan pickup in her driveway when she returned home and she knocked on my window. That was definitely November 1986.

So I guess it really is valid to assume that Lesa Jewell resembles Jane Wyman for a reason.
Rhonda Rochelle Ramsey resembles, in my mind, very closely, the woman holding the torch in that Columbia Pictures logo.
I think my first date with Rhonda Ramsey was to take her to Texarkana to see "An Officer And A Gentleman" at the drive-in.
The problem with some of these details is that I do not know which was were fabricated in my mind. For example, how could I fabricate the resemblance of Lesa Jewell and Jane Wyman?
