Need some help?
No.
Red River, Paul Doumier Bridge.
Then you follow the main boulevard, you go right to it.
People's Resistance Park.
It's right across the square from the national assembly.
SAM City, man.
You guys must be nuts.
The air force won't give me any pictures of downtown.
I'd have to send for 'em.
That would be like robbing a bank
and using your own car for the getaway.
But you follow the boulevard, you go right to it,
but I did not tell you.
I did not tell you, man.

FREEMAN
Geez, it's hot.
FERRETTI
You know, I can't believe we're stuck here.
FREEMAN
Don't be such a doomsayer, Ferretti.
REILLY
Yeah, give it a rest.
BROWN
Yes, please. If we're not back soon, they'll just turn on the 'gate from the other side.
FERRETTI
Oh, no. It doesn't work that way. You see, if you don't turn it on from here, we're screwed.

Chapter 13
And he had an extremely vivid dream. He had always dreamed a great deal—his wife had complained about him thrashing and muttering in his sleep—but he had never had a dream like this.
He was standing on a country road, at the precise place where the black hottop gave up to bone-white dirt. A blazing summer sun shone down. On both sides of the road there was green corn, and it stretched away endlessly. There was a sign, but it was dusty and he couldn’t read it. There was the sound of crows, harsh and far away. Closer by, someone was playing an acoustic guitar, fingerpicking it. Vic Palfrey had been a picker, and it was a fine sound.
This is where I ought to get to, Stu thought dimly. Yeah, this is the place, all right.

Heinrich Focke—Fa 61
If the pilot pushed the control stick forward and backward, he could tilt the rotor discs forward and backward together, causing the aircraft to move in the desired direction. By moving the stick sideways, the pilot could increase the angle of the blades on one rotor and reduce it on the other to control the roll of the craft. The rudder pedals tilted the rotors forward and backward in opposite directions to control yaw. The Fa 61 had excellent stability and control and was capable of hovering, going straight up and down, and forward and backward.
