There was that dream I had the other night, where I was inside a missile. I remembered today the similarity with this movie, in that Cochrane converted an ICBM into his warp ship. But why would someone create a connection between me and Cochrane? I didn't create warp drive in the past only to have someone block my memory of that, did I? It's funny, when I read something the other day about Data arguing with Einstein, it reminded me of something I was writing in my journal back in the early '90s. I was wondering why it was impossible to travel faster than the speed of light. A couple years ago I was writing about it again. The idea presented itself to me about why it was impossible, something about atoms not being able to work because electrons could not transfer energy faster than the speed of light. I wondered if it was possible to create some kind of process to transfer energy to those atoms, not unlike a cell's mitochondria works. Today I have been wondering if anything I remember about the past is real. Do I have a different past? Am I really who I think I am? The stuff I imagine happening to me sometimes, did that stuff really happen? I wonder if these movies and tv shows have actually been sort of inoculations, to keep me from questioning my reality.

:36:35
We have a serious problem.
:36:42
It's these Klingon crystals.
The time travel drained them.
:36:47
- They're decrystalising.
- Give me a round figure.
:36:51
24 hours, staying cloaked. After that
we're visible and dead in the water.
:36:58
We haven't the power to break out
of Earth's gravity or get home.
:37:03
We can't stop now.
Can't we recrystalise the dilithium?
:37:07
We can't even do that
in the 23rd century.
:37:19
Admiral, there may be
a 20th century possibility.
:37:25
I recall there was a dubious
flirtation with nuclear fission reactors.
:37:29
They resulted in toxic side-effects
and were replaced in the fusion era.
:37:35
But at this time,
we may be able to find some.
:37:40
- But you said they were toxic.
- We collect only high-energy photons.
:37:46
These photons would recrystalise
the dilithium structure... theoretically.
:37:52
- Where would we find these reactors?
- They were used in naval vessels.

Cloud coverage 100%.

- 78.6%.

Starfleet emergency. Red alert.
Switch to planetary power reserves.
:23:13
Even with all planetary reserves
we cannot survive without the sun.
:23:18
I'm well aware of that.
:23:24
Ambassador Sarek, I'm afraid
you're trapped here with us.
:23:28
There's no way
we can answer this probe.
:23:32
It's difficult to answer when one
does not understand the question.

Battle of Kursk
ARTICLE from the Encyclopædia Britannica
Battle of Kursk, (July 5–August 23, 1943), unsuccessful German assault on the Soviet salient around the city of Kursk, in western Russia, during World War II. The salient was a bulge in the Soviet lines that stretched 150 miles (240 km) from north to south and protruded 100 miles (160 km) westward into the German lines. In an attempt to recover the offensive on the Eastern Front, the Germans planned a surprise attack on the salient from both north and south, hoping to surround and destroy the Soviet forces within the bulge. The German assault forces consisted of almost 50 divisions containing ... (100 of 322 words)

Chekov: Please, please - We're looking for the naval base in Alameda can you tell us where the nuclear wessels are?
Random Passerby: Oh, I don't know if I know the answer to that. I think it's across the Bay. In Alameda!
Chekov: That's what I said - Alameda, I know that.
Cmdr. Uhura: But where is Alameda?
