I recognize the date 2/14/1986 as when I was shot down by anti-aircraft fire and was a Prisoner of War in Libya.
I recognize the date 4/14/1986 as when I escaped into the desert from the Libyans where I was being held as a Prisoner of War. I recognize the date 5/13/1987 as when I completed my escape after running down the African continent to evade capture. The 1988 premiere date of "The Presidio" puts 5/13/1987 as the mid-point with 4/14/1986.

Plot summary for
The Presidio (1988)
Jay Austin is now a civilian police detective. Colonel Caldwell was his commanding officer years before when he left the military police over a disagreement over the handling of a drunk driver. Now a series of murders that cross jurisdictions force them to work together again. That Austin is now dating Caldwell's daughter is not helping the relationship at all. At the Presidio, the Army base in San Francisco, a female MP was conducting her rounds when she came across the officer's club and the door had been forced open. She went to investigate and was shot. The individuals who broke in got into their car and drove and what followed was high speed chase that got both the Army MP's and the San Francisco police involved, which ended badly for both. Jay Austin, a San Francisco Police detective, is sent to investigate and he is met by Lt. Colonel Caldwell, who was his commanding officer, when he was an MP on the Presidio. It seems that Austin tried to arrest an Army officer but didn't follow procedures and Caldwell didn't support him. And the murdered MP was Austin's partner. A preliminary investigation casts suspicion on the officer Austin tried to arrest. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com
This could represent that someone pulled me out of a fire on the Stark after the missiles hit. I have been thinking that I was awarded another Medal of Honor for something during that 2/14/1986 to 5/13/1987 but I'm not certain which particular event that was for. Maybe something with Darfur. I haven't seen this movie in the past 9 years, but I think Jack Warden's character saved Sean Connery's character during the Vietnam War and Jack Warden's character received the Medal of Honor for something related to that. The date the USS Stark FFG-31 was hit forms a 3-3-4 connection with Jack Warden's birthday and I assume I made that casting choice, similar to Oingo Boingo's "Dark At The End Of The Tunnel" album.

I was 9.29 years old on 6/19/1968, when I have been thinking I earned my first Medal of Honor. I wonder if that is the basis for this scene.
I think Meg Ryan might also represent something with my daughter. Something about my daughter being angry because I had been missing in 1986 and 1987 and she didn't know where I was and she was angry about it. I don't blame her. I couldn't tell her anything about it and she should have been angry that I was missing from her life.

Julius: Eight.
Sgt. Major Ross Maclure: You want to live to be nine?
Lt. Col. Alan Caldwell: Obviously he didn't win it for charm.
