I guess I could have arranged for the USS Taylor FFG-50 to have the name Taylor and the hull number 50 because of "Taylor" from the "Planet of the Apes" and because of Hawaii. I also guess I still had blonde hair back in 1968. In my artificial and symbolic memory, the USS Taylor FFG-50 was the first ship I was assigned to and I reported on board on 12/19/1984. I was disappointed that I didn't get assigned to the ship in time to be part of the commissioning crew.
The USS Taylor FFG-50 was commissioned 3 years, 33 weeks, after 4/14/1981. That is the date the first space shuttle flight returned to Earth and that I recognize as when I fell out of it after I got the landing gear fixed. I noted that that "Star Trek: Generations" premiere also connects to that space shuttle flight.

USS Taylor (FFG-50), an Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate, is a ship of the United States Navy named for Commander Jesse J. Taylor (1925–1965), a naval aviator who was awarded the Navy Cross posthumously for his heroism in the Vietnam War.
Taylor's keel was laid down by Bath Iron Works Corp., Bath, Maine, on 5 May 1983. She was launched 5 November 1983, and commissioned 1 December 1984.
I have also been thinking that due to my extraordinary circumstances, and the exceptional....something, I was declared an adult in 1965. I would guess it had something to do with the threat from the comet, which seems reasonable. I might have been the one that was considered to have the only chance of diverting that comet as well as having a good chance of surviving to have a normal life afterwards. I puzzle over all that a lot though. How is that when there is such a threat from that comet - something that hasn't happened in millions of years - that I would be born with such advanced capabilities. I puzzle over that a lot. It is also why we have been keeping it all secret for so long. People get really wacky when something like that happens.
I have a lot of artificial and symbolic memories of watching this television show. I liked it a lot, especially the music that was in the episodes, although I don't "remember" the title names. The premiered date was 1 year, 5 months, 9 days, after 4/15/1986, although I'm not sure if that was the objective. I typically use 4/14/1986 as the day I escaped from the Libyans after being a Prisoner of War, but from what I read, it would have been 4/15/1986 local time, I assume, when I escaped. I don't know if that was the objective of this premier date. But the clues I find associate with the casting of the series seem to represent how I have, so far, always, beat the odds and made it back home.
I don't know if this was it, but it is a curious observation:
From 5/9/1976 to 9/24/1987 is: 593 weeks and 4 days

"Tour of Duty" (1987)
TV-Series 1987-1990
Release Date: 24 September 1987 (USA)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tour_of_Duty_%28TV_series%29
Tour of Duty was an American television drama series on air from 1987 to 1990. The show follows an American infantry platoon on a tour of duty during the Vietnam War. It was the first television series to regularly show Americans in combat in Vietnam and was one of several similarly-themed series to be produced in the wake of the acclaimed Oliver Stone film, Platoon.
The show was created by Steve Duncan and L. Travis Clark, and produced by Zev Braun. It ran for three seasons as 58 one-hour episodes, broadcast on CBS. The Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black" was the theme song of the series, and the show was known for its classic American rock soundtrack including Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimi Hendrix, and Jefferson Airplane. The series won an Emmy Award in 1988 for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Drama Series, and it was nominated again in 1989 and 1990. For copyright reasons, the VHS and DVD soundtracks were replaced with more generic music by lesser-known bands -- a move which was widely protested by buyers, and resulted in a significantly lower sales volume for the third-season DVD set than for the first two.
Not simply an action program, Tour of Duty was also groundbreaking as it addressed the issues of racism, suicide, fragging, terrorism, civilian deaths, drug abuse, and the shattered lives and confused feelings of those troops who finally made it home alive.
The story focuses mainly on Bravo company's third squad under the command of Lt. Myron Goldman, and SSGT. Zeke Anderson. In the first season, the program showed the G.I.s as a standard platoon operating in Vietnam. In the second season, the troops found themselves relocated to a base near Saigon while conducting the typical "search and destroy" missions. In the third season, the platoon was transferred to a SOG (Studies and Observation) unit under the command of Colonel Brewster, conducting covert operations in Vietnam and in Cambodia, culminating in the fictional version of the raid on Son Tay Prison. Production staff interviewed in VIETNAM Magazine cited this change as a change in premise that doomed the series, as female characters were also introduced (in hopes of gaining more female viewership) and the show ceased to be a realistic chronicle of life in the field for the average line infantryman in favor of being more romance- and action/adventure-oriented. The third season was the show's last.

Willem Dafoe from "Platoon" is 95 months, 3 weeks, 3 days, older than Phoebe, my wife. If you turn that around, it becomes 3-3-5-9. I assume this casting device was created to reflect that my family had a funeral service for me on 11/25/1986, thinking I had been killed on 4/14/1986. This movie, "Platoon" was released either on Friday, 12/19/1986 or Wednesday, 12/24/1986. The character Dafoe portrays was betrayed by another soldier and then killed by the enemy before he could get back to the helicopter. I have been thinking that this movie also contains references to my actual experiences in the Vietnam War, but it was produced to represent the conflict I was fighting in Africa at the time. I think the 1991 "Flight Of The Intruder" where he portrays "Tiger Cole" also reflects my captivity as a POW in Libya in 1986 as the enemy was using him as a shield at the end of the movie.

The actress who portrays the love interest of the star of the 1991 "Flight Of The Intruder" is 3 years, 340 days, older than Phoebe, my wife. Her character's name, "Callie" reminds me of the Jupiter moon Callisto.
