Africa: The Serengeti is a 70mm documentary film released in 1994 to IMAX theaters. It is narrated by Academy Award-nominated actor James Earl Jones and directed by veteran IMAX filmmaker George Casey, featuring nature cinematography during a year at East Africa's Serengeti plain.
The Serengeti is a huge area of grassland in Tanzania, Africa. Once a year, in time of drought, animals travel north in order to survive. This "great migration", an event in which millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelope travel several hundred miles across the plain, while lions and other dangers await them along the way, is considered one of the great wonders of the world.
The film was shot on location in Kenya and Tanzania. Casey followed up with another nature documentary, this time on the other side of the globe, called Alaska: Spirit of the Wild.

Synopsis
Picard summons Wesley Crusher to the Bridge, where he informs the youngster that he has been accepted to Starfleet Academy. He further honors Wesley by asking him to accompany him on a final mission to help mediate a dispute on Pentarus V. When the U.S.S. Enterprise is called to investigate another nearby crisis, Picard and Wesley proceed alone, traveling with a representative of the planet, Dirgo, in his dilapidated shuttle. En route, the shuttle fails, forcing an emergency landing on a desert-like moon. Upon learning Dirgo is not traveling with water, Picard positions a makeshift arrow in the sand to indicate their direction and heads toward a mountain range for shelter.

When Archer and Trip have landed on the desert planet, Enterprise gets a message from the Torothan chancellor Trelitt. He tells Zobral isn't as nice a man as captain Archer thinks.
I don't remember seeing this episode, although it sounds familiar. What the description reminds me of most though is a dream where a woman was talking to me and I could only see her face exposed on the ground. That was the where I was trying to find a rifle so I could resume fighting some kind of alien that was invading a subway system.

The episode continues the story that began in the finale of the sixth season, "Tears of the Prophets". Benjamin Sisko has taken extended leave on Earth, Kira Nerys is in charge of Deep Space Nine and Worf is still grieving for Jadzia.
While Sisko deals with his feelings of failure by visiting his father in New Orleans, Kira, newly promoted to the rank of Colonel, and Odo deal with life as normal on the station. The Defiant continues its assignment escorting cargo runs, but Nog, O'Brien and Bashir all notice that something is bothering Worf, beyond Jadzia's untimely demise at the hand of Gul Dukat. Kira is later called to a meeting with Admiral Ross, who compliments her on the running of the station since Sisko's departure. "I'm just keeping his seat warm," she reminds the Admiral, even though he himself is not sure when the Captain will return. He then informs the Bajoran that the Romulan Empire has been given permission to send a permanent delegation to the station, just as the Klingons have. The leader is one Senator Cretak, who is a staunch supporter of the Alliance between Romulus and the Federation, but Kira is not thrilled at this news. Ross ignores her dubious feelings, reminding her that he came as a courtesy, "The decision's already been made."
Back on Earth, a distant Sisko separates himself from his family, doing nothing but playing the piano in the restaurant his father Joseph owns. His son, Jake, is worried about his father's attitude, though Joseph realises it will take time. As they talk, Sisko continues playing, until a baseball on the top of the piano rolls off and hits the floor. Sisko, stopping his playing, reaches for the ball, before changing his mind. As he pulls back though, he is suddenly pulled into one of the visions that he has been sent in the past by the Bajoran Prophets. In it, he seems himself in the desert on an alien world, that he knows to be Tyree. His is digging frantically, before coming across a blanket buried in the sand. Slowly he pulls at it, only to reveal the hidden face of a woman, that he does not recognise. This snaps him out of the vision, where Jake, noticing his father's having stopped playing, quickly hurries over and asks what wrong. Sisko explains about the vision. He confesses he has no idea who the woman is, but with a resolute determination he has not exhibited for months, he tells his son, "But I'm going to find out."

Crazy Cora: Don't worry, on a new job it's quite common for things not to go well at first.
[Lost in the Outback]
Matthew Quigley: I don't know where we're goin', but there's no sense bein' late.
Crazy Cora: I remember once my Granddaddy told me how, when you're lost in the desert, you should sleep during the day and walk at night.
Matthew Quigley: Your Granddaddy tell you that? Did he also tell you we'll die, in the the desert, without those horses?
Crazy Cora: Well, what good are horses, if we die of thirst?
Matthew Quigley: Once in a while she actually makes a little sense.
Crazy Cora: What did you say, Roy?
Matthew Quigley: Never mind.

Quigley Down Under
Tom Selleck plays the titular Matthew Quigley, a cowboy and gunman from America with a keen eye and a specially modified rifle with which he can shoot at extraordinary distances. Quigley's weapon of choice is an 1874 Sharps Buffalo Rifle which fires .45-110 paper patch black powder cartridges. Its barrel is 34 inches long, which makes it four inches longer than an unmodified rifle. He answers an advertisement that asks for men with a special talent in long distance shooting, the job being in Australia. He travels by boat the great distance to Australia, then is met by employees of the man who hired him, Elliot Marston, and taken to Marston's ranch a great distance into the Australian Outback.
Alan Rickman plays his nemesis, Elliot Marston. Marston is a gentleman infatuated with stories of quick-draw gunslingers from the American Old West, believing himself to have been born on the wrong continent, and amazed that Quigley has actually been to Dodge City. He hires Quigley to come to Australia in the hopes that Quigley will use his sharpshooting skills to help eradicate the native aborigines. Quigley finds the idea abhorrent and the two men are quickly headed for a showdown.
Laura San Giacomo provides comic relief and a love interest as "Crazy Cora." Having suffered a terrifying personal tragedy some years before the film's story begins, Cora appears to think that Quigley is her estranged husband, Roy. By the film's end, the viewer is left with some doubt as to how crazy she really is.
After Quigley turns Marston down, Marston has his men dump Quigley and Cora in the Australian Outback with no water and little chance of survival. Thanks to the possibly magical help of a group of aborigines, Quigley and Cora survive to rescue other aborigines from Marston's men, including an orphaned baby who helps Cora overcome her tragic past. As the story progresses, Marston loses more and more men to Quigley until the final showdown, which leaves Quigley standing to face a hostile British major. Again with the help of the aborigines, Quigley survives. The movie ends with Quigley and Cora purchasing passage on the next ship to America.

Remarks on the Observance of National Philanthropy Day
November 14th, 1986
Thank you very much. I have just read a clipping this morning from the United Press that shows how the private sector is spreading and things of this kind in philanthropy; that the First Lady of the Soviet Union has been named to the board of directors of a private, and privately financed, group in the Soviet Union. But I appreciate this opportunity to be with you today in recognition of one of America's greatest national treasures: the spirit of philanthropy that is so evident among our people.
When I was a lad growing up in the Midwest in Dixon, Illinois, we took this to he Americanism. And each and every one of us knew what kind of town we had and what kind of country we had. And it was all up to us. And although we were not as well off as many in town, my mother was always involved in projects for the less fortunate. She could always find somebody that was worse off than we were. I can still remember her doing a little baking of pies and cakes, and then finding out with quite some disappointment that they were for the sick lady down the street. [Laughter]
Just like every other kid in our town, I was a beneficiary of this spirit of community. I did a lot of talking about this out on the campaign. Part of it for me meant being a member of the YMCA Boys Band; I was the drum major. And during the recent election there'd be some high school bands at the political rallies, and I would tell some of these young people the story about what happened to me in that band. We were invited to go to a smaller town nearby on Memorial Day and to march in the parade. And we found out that we were at the head of the parade. The only thing in front of us was the parade marshal on a big white horse. And we started off down the street; and I'm with that baton, which was bigger than I was. And suddenly, he rode back down the parade line to make sure that everything was coming along all right. And I'm going down the street, leading the band and the music began to sound a little faint. [Laughter] And I sneaked a glance back. He had caught up with the front of the parade just in time to turn the band down an intersection, and I was walking up the street all by myself. [Laughter] I cut across backyards and so forth and scrambled to get in front of the band about another block away.
