Alert Condition 2 remains in effect.
In a dream I had just before waking up, I think my presence was represented by a sorry-looking guard dog at the entrance of some building. I think the point of that scene was for me to understand that I did detect an object that was of concern and those people were aware of it but nothing seems to have happened, other than the group of people seemed to have been successful in passing through the initial security of that building, where I, as the guard dog, was at the front door and outside.
Much of the dream has faded now but I do remember some scenes. All of it happened in the lobby of the building and they seemed to be foiling other security stations in the lobby of that building. The dream ended with that group of people making it through the lobby and through a set of doors and into the interior of the building.
I saw that the old "Obi-Wan Kenobi" was one of those people breaking through security and that group arrived in a "Land Speeder" from the 1977 film "Star Wars" but in the dream it was somewhat different and had features similar to an armored personnel carrier. I think the reason for the "Star Wars" aspect is because they were breaking in someplace, not unlike a biological warfare weapons storage bunker here in the Seattle Washington area.

An actress who had minor roles on The Vampire Diaries and The Walking Dead was charged Friday in connection with allegedly sending ricin-laced letters to President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg last month, CNN reports.
Shannon Rogers Richardson, also known under her stage name Shannon Rogers Guess, was arrested by federal law enforcement officials, they announced Friday. She appeared in a Texarkana, Texas, courtroom and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted, U.S. attorney's office spokeswoman Davilyn Walston said.
Shannon Richardson played a student named Stephanie in a 2009 episode of Vampire Diaries and a walker in the Walking Dead premiere.

A pregnant Texas actor who told FBI agents her husband had sent ricin-tainted letters to President Barack Obama and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg has been arrested for allegedly sending the letters herself, law enforcement officials said Friday.
It was not immediately clear what charges would be filed against Shannon Guess Richardson of New Boston, Texas, a mother of five who has played bit roles in television shows. Two US law enforcement officials confirmed her arrest to the Associated Press but spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly during the ongoing investigation.
FBI agents wearing hazardous material suits were seen going in and out of her house Wednesday in New Boston, about 150 miles northeast of Dallas near the Oklahoma and Arkansas borders. Officials have said the search was initiated after Richardson contacted the FBI and implicated her husband, Nathaniel Richardson.
If inhaled, ricin can cause respiratory failure, among other symptoms. If swallowed, it can shut down the liver and other organs, resulting in death. The amount of ricin that can fit on the head of a pin is said to be enough to kill an adult if properly prepared. No antidote is available

Sally swam up out of sleep.
First she glanced at the clock on the night table and saw it was quarter past two in the morning. Charlie shouldn’t even be here; he should be on shift. Then she got her first good look at him and something leaped up inside her, some deadly intuition.
Her husband was deathly pale. His eyes started and bulged from their sockets. The car keys were in one hand. He was still using the other to shake her, although her eyes were open. It was as if he hadn’t been able to register the fact that she was awake.
“Charlie, what is it? What’s wrong?”
He didn’t seem to know what to say. His Adam’s apple bobbed futilely but there was no sound in the small service bungalow but the ticking of the clock.
“Is it a fire?” she asked stupidly. It was the only thing she could think of which might have put him in such a state. She knew his parents had perished in a housefire.
“In a way,” he said. “In a way it’s worse. You got to get dressed, honey. Get Baby LaVon. We got to get out of here.”
“Why?” she asked, getting out of bed. Dark fear had seized her. Nothing seemed right. This was like a dream. “Where? You mean the back yard?” But she knew it wasn’t the back yard. She had never seen Charlie look afraid like this. She drew a deep breath and could smell no smoke or burning.
“Sally, honey, don’t ask questions. We have to get away. Far away. You lust go get Baby LaVon and get her dressed.”
“But should I… is there time to pack?”
This seemed to stop him. To derail him somehow. She thought she was as afraid as she could be, but apparently she wasn’t. She recognized that what she had taken for fright on his part was closer to raw panic. He ran a distracted hand through his hair and replied, “I don’t know. I’ll have to test the wind.”
And he left her with this bizarre statement which meant nothing to her, left her standing cold and afraid and disoriented in her bare feet and babydoll nightie. It was as if he had gone mad. What did testing the wind have to do with whether or not she had time to pack? And where was far away? Reno? Vegas? Salt Lake City? And…
She put her hand against her throat as a new idea struck her.
AWOL. Leaving in the middle of the night meant Charlie was planning to go AWOL.
She went into the small room which served as Baby LaVon’s nursery and stood for a moment, indecisive, looking at the sleeping infant in her pink blanket suit. She held to the faint hope that this might be no more than an extraordinarily vivid dream. It would pass, she would wake up at seven in the morning just like usual, feed Baby LaVon and herself while she watched the first hour of the “Today” show, and be cooking Charlie’s eggs when he came off-shift at 8 A.M., his nightly tour in the Reservation’s north tower over for another night. And in two weeks he would be back on days and not so cranky and if he was sleeping with her at night she wouldn’t have crazy dreams like this one and—

The Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is an 18,000-acre (73 km2) facility located 18 miles (29 km) west of Texarkana, Texas in Bowie County. The facility has over 1,000,000 square feet (93,000 m2) of storage capacity. RRAD was activated in 1941 to create an ammunition storage facility. The depot was supposed to be deactivated after the findings of the 1995 Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) commission. However, the depot remained open after the commission changed its mind. The depot was once again slated for closure upon recommendation from the 2005 BRAC commission, but has remained open to provide maintenance support for the army. The depot's mission includes repairing MRAPs and HUMVEEs. Letterkenny Army Depot took over some of RRAD's missile systems.

The next morning, Jenner shows the group footage of a test subject (number 19) who was infected and agreed to be observed. The subject's brain activity dies, but then the infection causes the brain stem to reactivate. However, everything the person was (personality and memories, the higher functions of the brain) is gone. Test subject 19 was eventually shot in the head. The group realizes that the test subject was actually Jenner's wife, and he eventually had to kill her.

Later, a drunken Jenner speaks into the monitor: "The TS-19 samples are gone," he laments, musing that he might kill himself in the morning.
Rick's caravan approaches the CDC, where hundreds of bodies lay dead on the ground. The group quietly approaches the building, which is locked and shuttered.
Inside the CDC, Jenner's proximity alarm sounds. Stunned, he watches the group's approach via a security monitor.
Outside, walkers begin to take notice of the survivors. Panicking, Shane suggests heading for Fort Benning. Lori points out they're out of gas, and would never make it.
Rick catches sight of the security camera's movement and slams on the shutters, screaming, "If you don't let us in, you're killing us!"
Rick continues to scream as Shane drags him away. Suddenly the shutters open, drowning the survivors in light.

USS Panay sunk by Japanese
During the battle for Nanking in the Sino-Japanese War, the U.S. gunboat Panay is attacked and sunk by Japanese warplanes in Chinese waters. The American vessel, neutral in the Chinese-Japanese conflict, was escorting U.S. evacuees and three Standard Oil barges away from Nanking, the war-torn Chinese capital on the Yangtze River. After the Panay was sunk, the Japanese fighters machine-gunned lifeboats and survivors huddling on the shore of the Yangtze. Two U.S. sailors and a civilian passenger were killed and 11 personnel seriously wounded, setting off a major crisis in U.S.-Japanese relations.
Although the Panay's position had been reported to the Japanese as required, the neutral vessel was clearly marked, and the day was sunny and clear, the Japanese maintained that the attack was unintentional, and they agreed to pay $2 million in reparations. Two neutral British vessels were also attacked by the Japanese in the final days of the battle for Nanking.

History of Soviet and Russian espionage in the United States

Since the late 1920s, the Soviet Union, through its OGPU and NKVD intelligence services, used Russians and foreign-born nationals as well as Communist, and people of American origin to perform espionage activities in the United States. These various espionage networks had contact with various U.S. government agencies, transmitting to Moscow information that would have been deemed confidential.
First efforts
During the 1920s Soviet intelligence focused on military and industrial espionage in the United States, specifically in the aircraft and munitions industries, and penetrating the mainline federal government bureaucracies, such as the United States Department of State and War Department.[citation needed] These efforts had mixed results. A front organization was created by a NKVD agent in 1928 for the infiltration and placement of scientists into industry and government: the Federation of Architects, Engineers, Chemists, and Technicians (FAECT). "The FAECT never attracted enough followers to make an impact in labor conditions, but it served the progressive cause in other ways."
Browder and Golos networks
One chief aim was the infiltration, placement, and subversion of American political life at all levels of society. Earl Browder, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the United States (CPUSA), served as an agent recruiter himself on behalf of Soviet intelligence.
Browder later stated that "by the mid-thirties, the Party was not putting its principal emphasis on recruiting members." Left unstated was his intent to use party members for espionage work, where suitable. Browder advocated the use of a United Front involving other members of the left, both to strengthen advocacy of pro-Soviet policy and to enlarge the pool of potential recruits for espionage work. The illegal residency of NKVD in the US was established in 1934 by the former Berlin resident Boris Bazarov. In 1935, NKVD agent Iskhak Akhmerov entered the US with false identity papers to assist Bazarov in the collection of useful intelligence, and operated without interruption until 1939, when he left the US. Akhmerov's wife, an American who worked for Soviet intelligence, was Helen Lowry (Elza Akhmerova), the niece of CPUSA General Secretary Earl Browder. Recent information from Soviet archives have revealed that Browder's younger sister Marguerite worked until 1938 as an NKVD operative in Europe. She discontinued this work only when Browder himself requested her release from duty, fearful that her work would compromise his position as General Secretary.
In the 1930s, the chief Soviet espionage organization operating in the U.S. became the GRU. J. Peters, headed the secret apparatus that supplied internal government documents from the Ware group to the GRU. Browder assisted Peters in building a network of operatives in the administration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This group included Alger Hiss, John Abt, and Lee Pressman. Courier for the group at the time was Whittaker Chambers. Browder oversaw the efforts of Jacob Golos and his girlfriend, Elizabeth Bentley, whose network of agents and sources included two key figures at the Department of Treasury, Nathan Gregory Silvermaster and Harry Dexter White.
One early Soviet spy ring was headed by Jacob Golos. Jake Golos (birth name Jacob Golosenko, Tasin, Rasin or Raisen) was a Ukrainian-born Bolshevik revolutionary and Soviet secret police (NKVD) operative in the USSR. He was also a longtime senior official of the CPUSA involved in covert work and cooperation with Soviet intelligence agencies. He took over an existing network of agents and intelligence sources from Earl Browder. Golos' controller was the head of the NKVD's American desk, Gaik Ovakimian, also known as "The Puppetmaster", who would later serve a key role in the assassination of Leon Trotsky. Golos was the "main pillar" of the NKVD intelligence network. He had worked with Soviet intelligence from the mid-1930s, and probably earlier. He was not merely a CPUSA official assisting the NKVD (an agent or “probationer” in Soviet intelligence parlance) but held official rank in the NKVD, and claimed to be an oldtime Chekist.
Golos established a company called World Tourists with money from Earl Browder, the General Secretary. The firm, which posed as a travel agency, was used to facilitate international travel to and from the United States by Soviet agents

The next morning, Jenner shows the group footage of a test subject (number 19) who was infected and agreed to be observed. The subject's brain activity dies, but then the infection causes the brain stem to reactivate. However, everything the person was (personality and memories, the higher functions of the brain) is gone. Test subject 19 was eventually shot in the head. The group realizes that the test subject was actually Jenner's wife, and he eventually had to kill her.
Dale notices a countdown clock and asks Jenner for details. Jenner admits that the facility is under lockdown and will undergo decontamination, which will wipe out all life in the facility (including all the deadly contagions the CDC had kept samples of) and destroy the building. The group pleads to leave, but Jenner reminds them that he can't open the doors.
The group also discovers that power to the facility is running out, so even if they stop the countdown, survival is still next to impossible. Jenner insists that this is the best thing for everyone, since nothing is out there anymore. Rick counters by saying that there has to be hope. Jenner agrees to open the doors one final time. Before Rick leaves, however, Jenner whispers something in his ear, which disturbs Rick.
Jacqui and Andrea decide to stay, thinking that they don't have anything left to live for, but Dale manages to convince Andrea that Amy would not have wanted her to die like this. Rick uses a grenade to shatter the glass at the front entrance and allow a means of escape, and Dale and Andrea rush out of the facility just as the bomb detonates.
The CDC building is destroyed and the survivors drive away, destination unknown.

McAlester
I dreamed last night of a place we lived in McAlester Oklahoma. That must have been the early 1970's. In the context of my artificial memory, my mother remarried to a former United States Marine Corps enlisted serviceman and then he reenlisted into active service and we moved to McAlester Oklahoma where, as I recall, he was stationed at the munitions depot that is near that town. I don't recall if we went there first or if we first went to the El Toro base where he was also assigned by the United States Marine Corps. I think we went there after McAlester. Now I remember. I was in the second grade. I remember that I went to the first grade in De Queen Arkansas, and she was married to him then, and then I went to the second grade in McAlester although I cannot actually recall that part. Maybe we were only there during the summer. I do remember going to the second grade in Santa Ana California but I was only there a short time because I also went to the second grade in Antlers Oklahoma but then we must have moved back to De Queen Arkansas because I think I went to part of the second grade there but I am not certain. I am pretty certain what I might recall is that I started the third grade year in De Queen.
So anyway, I dreamed of walking, in the context of the current day, at that base housing for United States Marine Corps serviceman families and I was walking down the street that was along that row of houses. I think I found that place on the map, but as in my dream a few hours ago, the houses seem to have been demolished. I did see some houses in the dream but I wonder if I was dreaming of 4th street in De Queen. In the dream however, I did specifically note that the row of houses, which I think was similar to a long row of single floor apartments, was gone. There I seemed to start to fly. I knew I was still at McAlester because I was thinking of how that housing complex was outside the base but was close to the front gate or one of the main gates. I was looking at an overhead image map of that area and I think that is the same place. I had finished walking through those streets and then I started to fly up into a tree. I was looking at the tree and I was thinking it the dream that it had mutated or something. The tree was turning into something deformed and I didn't want to touch it as I flew up slowly towards the sky and I was rising up when under the branches of that tree where I started to look at the branches of the tree as I flew up through. I was aware that it had been contaminated or something by chemical or biological munitions that were stored at that base. I was also aware of something in the distance and I don't know what that was but it just seemed to be something better. I knew it was in the distance in front of me and I had the front gate in the distance on my right side and that location in the front of me and in the distance would be perpendicular to the gate. Looking at the map that direction would be to the south west. I don't know what that is supposed to me. I think I woke up from that dream. I write about here because it seems to be important for some reason and I stopped to write about it while I was in the middle of working on something else.

The other dream I had was about fighting some kind of aliens. I'm not sure if this dream happened before the one I wrote about above or if it happened later. In this dream, I am still in the Navy, but I am wearing some kind of camoflauge uniform, maybe army or marines. These aliens have invaded a subway and there are a lot of travelers around in danger. I am about to drop from exhaustion after 36 hours of fighting, we have been retreating and I am separated from the other soldiers. I am carrying two heavy packs, trying to find another unit to group up with, with passengers stream through the facility, they are even getting on the trains as some of them are still coming through. I have lost my rifle somewhere. I still have plenty of ammo, but I can't find a rifle. A woman at a coffee kisok says something to me that I don't remember, she has dried blood on her hands as she is preparing coffee.
