Captain's log, Stardate 1513.1. Our position, orbiting planet M-113. On board the Enterprise, Mister Spock temporarily in command. On the planet the ruins of an ancient and long-dead civilisation. Ship's surgeon McCoy and myself are now beaming down to the planet's surface. Our mission, routine medical examination of archaeologist Robert Crater and his wife Nancy. Routine but for the fact that Nancy Crater is that one woman in Doctor McCoy's past.

[Planet surface outside building]

KIRK: Shall we pick some flowers, Doctor? When a man visits an old girlfriend she usually expects something like that.

MCCOY: Is that how you get girls to like you, by bribing them? There doesn't seem to be anybody around, does there.

KIRK: They'll be along. You rushed us down ten minutes early. (enter building)

[Crater's home]

KIRK: Professor Crater? Professor? Mrs. Crater? Nervous, Dr. McCoy?

MCCOY: Yeah, a little bit, I guess. You see, we walked out of each other's lives ten years ago. She married Crater, and for all I know she may have forgotten me completely. Of all the bonehead ideas, Jim, how'd I let myself in for things like this?

I don't know what the "silver strand" is, but as soon as I read it, I was reminded of some thoughts or dreams I used to have. In the dream or thought, I was flying back from somewhere, maybe Desert Storm, and the aircraft crashed on an island. The aircraft was carrying one of these desert vehicles. These thoughts or dreams were recurring and sometimes there were other survivors on the island with me, other times I was alone.

Ultraspace





I saw something that made me think about this about 9 AM this morning as I walked back from the grocery store. The outside temperature was about 28 degrees F and most surfaces outside were still covered in a very heavy frost that looked to me to be the residual freezing fog that has developed lately in this area. As I was walked down a crest of the highest hill nearby I could see a high bank of that fog to the west that was I guess the same freezing fog that had dissipated from where I was walking along the sidewalk. I knew from earlier observations that the distance from where I stood at a certain point of land to the intersection to the west was about a half-mile. At that intersection a half-mile to my west I could see what seemed to be a very high and fairly dense fog bank. I was comparing the appearance of the cars on the street that had their headlights on to the cars very close to those and that did not have headlights on and I could get a sense of the density of the fog as I walked along. The road makes a sharp turn and then descends down a long hill at that point and I could not see anything beyond there. But the fog bank seemed to extend more than a hundred feet in the air. I would imagine that it has dissipated completely by now.

So anyway, what that made me think of is how close that fog bank was the cemetery that I was writing of back in June 2011.

As with a lot of other stuff I write about, there is no real point to this note. I just wanted to point out that my very active imagination is not fueling my ultraspace contraption technology to go medieval on you stupid morons.

One very practical consideration for my restraint is the fact that I can sue for damages any of you vultures and bloodsuckers that tries to manipulate the media about my technology. I can sue you for damages and I will win every time and in any court in the world.

I started thinking specifically about me being on that roof because of a flood and then I read the other stuff I noted before it. I find that compelling because I was only looking for the part I wrote about imagining having to climb on that roof and I started thinking about that part after I scanned a headline about an asteroid that is supposed to fly near the planet Earth in the next few days. So thinking about that and "Bracing for close encounter with asteroid" and before I found these details in my journal that I was looking for, I started thinking that the delivery mechanism for the zombie plague is an asteroid. Or at least, I was thinking as I told people in the past after I make my pending time travel jump, that was the story in the newspapers. All the news media reports that the zombie apocalypse started because of an asteroid that hit the Pacific Ocean about thirty miles west of the coast of Washington State. As I imagined it, I saw the water from the tsunami approach my location but it stopped short of where I live. I thought further about how if I had stayed in downtown Seattle, and instead of moving, then the tsunami would have got me too. I also today, during the course of my pursuit of this line thought, discovered another compelling detail about where I live compared to Queen Anne hill. So as I told them after I make my pending time travel jump, I saw the zombies appear. They came out of the tsunami waters. The people who were killed by the tsunami became zombies. People in cemeteries that were flooded also converted to zombies and rose from the gravesites and began feasting on live human beings. The catastrophe was - will be - a lot more grotesque that what you see on television and movies. The zombies are fast and they do more than just take a quick bite. Maybe this what happens first. They need to convert as many humans as possible very quickly so the zombies on the leading edge of the zombie blitzkrieg will only take a quick bite out of a human and then move on to convert as many as possible. The plague does quickly consume the state of Washington so that makes sense.

"The Mist."

Maybe this is the epicenter where something similar to that happens.

Some kind of rift in time-space, whatever that is, from which a lot of strange creatures emerge and begin wreaking havoc.

The US military, finally taking action, and all too late, hits this area with nuclear bombs but that fails and the energy actually aids the rift.

Why does that element have to happen though? That seems overly complicated. As though it is something generated simply for a film script.

If such a disaster is going to happen then why should it be so complicated as requiring a nuclear bomb strike?

Maybe it has something to do with the core element that is here currently, somewhere, that is the initial source of the rift of time-space that lets out the creatures into this environment. Something about how it is simply limited in certain details that I am not consciously aware of and so it needs the energy from that nuclear bomb to grow larger. It can take energy from any bomb, really, but the nuclear bomb strike occurs because the military tries shooting the creatures and the conventional bomb have little or no effect on the resiliant creatures.

I have a feeling I will know when it is going to actually happen, whatever does actually happen.

I wonder if I will start getting specific information so I can publish those details on my blog which will then be a reference as to what does happen when it happens.

For one thing, I will be gone when it actually starts. I will not be part of this world any longer.

So it makes sense that I would publish documentation about the facts of what will happen and so that those people left here to endure their judgement will know that I told them precisely what was going to happen to them.

Perhaps there will be details I will predict, as I have already been doing to a certain extent, but those details will be considerably hard to explain away. For example, when my postings match details on television programs there is always, or usually always but not always, the chance that the television producers were feeding live packages in with pre-recorded segments and those packages incorporated details I published. The details I write about now that I would predict in the near future would be much more difficult to explain. The first thought that comes to mind is in predicting the weather but that seems boring. Whatever it is it would be subtle though. Using my alien spaceship explanation as guide, if the super-intelligent beings were simply out to convince humans of the existence of these super-intellient beings then they would just simply show up in their spaceships and that would be certainly convincing proof. But that is not what they are about.

§ 794. Gathering or delivering defense information to aid foreign government

(a) Whoever, with intent or reason to believe that it is to be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of a foreign nation, communicates, delivers, or transmits, or attempts to communicate, deliver, or transmit, to any foreign government, or to any faction or party or military or naval force within a foreign country, whether recognized or unrecognized by the United States, or to any representative, officer, agent, employee, subject, or citizen thereof, either directly or indirectly, any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, note, instrument, appliance, or information relating to the national defense, shall be punished by death or by imprisonment for any term of years or for life, except that the sentence of death shall not be imposed unless the jury or, if there is no jury, the court, further finds that the offense resulted in the identification by a foreign power (as defined in section 101(a) of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978) of an individual acting as an agent of the United States and consequently in the death of that individual, or directly concerned nuclear weaponry, military spacecraft or satellites, early warning systems, or other means of defense or retaliation against large-scale attack; war plans; communications intelligence or cryptographic information; or any other major weapons system or major element of defense strategy.

(b) Whoever, in time of war, with intent that the same shall be communicated to the enemy, collects, records, publishes, or communicates, or attempts to elicit any information with respect to the movement, numbers, description, condition, or disposition of any of the Armed Forces, ships, aircraft, or war materials of the United States, or with respect to the plans or conduct, or supposed plans or conduct of any naval or military operations, or with respect to any works or measures undertaken for or connected with, or intended for the fortification or defense of any place, or any other information relating to the public defense, which might be useful to the enemy, shall be punished by death or by imprisonment for any term of years or for life.

(c) If two or more persons conspire to violate this section, and one or more of such persons do any act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each of the parties to such conspiracy shall be subject to the punishment provided for the offense which is the object of such conspiracy.

(d)
(1) Any person convicted of a violation of this section shall forfeit to the United States irrespective of any provision of State law—

(A) any property constituting, or derived from, any proceeds the person obtained, directly or indirectly, as the result of such violation, and

(B) any of the person’s property used, or intended to be used, in any manner or part, to commit, or to facilitate the commission of, such violation.

UNION, S.C. - The prosecution urged the jurors at the Susan Smith trial to hold on to their common sense in the weeks ahead, and they would come to see Smith as a selfish, malicious killer who sacrificed her children for the love of the son of a rich industrialist.

The defense begged them to look into their hearts and, through that softer focus, find a disturbed, childlike figure who, after a lifetime of sadness, snapped like a dry twig.

As simplistic as those opposing views might seem, they will be the crux of the next month of testimony in Smith's capital murder trial, which officially began Tuesday with opening statements in the elegant old Union County Courthouse.

"For nine days in the fall of 1994, Susan Smith looked this country in the eyes and lied," said Keith Giese, a special prosecutor and assistant to the state's prosecutor, Tommy Pope. "She begged God to return her children to safety, and the whole time she knew her children were lying dead at the bottom of John D. Long Lake.

"She knew right from wrong. She could control her actions if she wanted to, and she did not. This was a conscious decision to kill her children."

Smith, who has sat quietly through most of the court proceedings, started to cry.

MCCOY: She called it a Borgia plant.

KIRK: Something new to me.

SPOCK [OC]: Bridge to Dispensary.

KIRK: Go ahead, Mister Spock.

SPOCK [on monitor]: Borgia plant listed in library record tapes as carbon group three vegetation similar to Earth nightshade family. Alkaloid poison. Chemical structure common to class M planets. About the strange mottling on his facial skin surface. There is no reference to this symptom.

MCCOY: Hmm. Well then, this man wasn't poisoned.

KIRK: Stand by, Mister Spock. She said she saw him eat the plant.

MCCOY: She's mistaken. I know alkaloid poison, what to look for. There's not a trace of it in his body.

KIRK: There were bits of the plant in his mouth.

MCCOY: Jim, don't tell me my business. He could not have swallowed any. My instruments would have picked up any trace of it whatsoever.

KIRK: Then what kills a healthy man

MCCOY: I'll tell you something else. This man shouldn't be dead. I can't find anything wrong with him. According to all the tests he should just get up and walk away from here. I don't know. I'll have the tests double-checked. My eyes may be tricking me. I swear, Jim, when I first saw her she looked just as I'd known her ten years ago. Granted, for a moment I may have been looking at her through a romantic haze.

KIRK: How your lost love affects your vision, Doctor, doesn't interest me. I've lost a man. I want to know what killed him.

MCCOY: Yes, sir.

CRATER: Once there were millions of them prairies black with them. One herd covered three whole states, and when they moved they were like thunder.

SPOCK: And now they're gone. Is that what you mean?

CRATER: Like the creatures here. Once there were millions of them. Now there's one left. Nancy understood.

SPOCK: Always in the past tense.

KIRK: Where's your wife? Where is she now?

CRATER: Dead. Buried up on the hill. It killed her.

KIRK: When?

CRATER: Oh, a year, or was it two?

KIRK: Kirk to Enterprise.

SULU [OC]: Bridge to Captain. Sulu here.

KIRK: It's definite, Mister Sulu. The intruder can assume any shape. Crewmen, you, myself, anyone. Do you understand?

SULU [OC]: Affirmative, Captain.

KIRK: Go to GQ four.

SULU [OC]: General quarters four, Captain.

CRATER: The creature was trying to survive. It has that right, doesn't it?

KIRK: Kirk to transporter room. Three to beam up.

CRATER: They needed salt to stay alive. There was no more salt. It's the last one. The buffalo. There is no difference.

KIRK: There's one, Professor. Your creature is killing my people.
