What I started thinking last month, during December 2012, is how I finally resolved my relation to Joseph Wayne Burgess.

I have written several times that I started thinking that Joseph was my second uncle and I wrote that I wasn’t really certain if that was accurate. I didn’t really think it through more beyond that point.

Last month I started thinking extensively on that topic.

I started thinking that he is indeed my uncle but he is biologically my half-uncle and not my second uncle as I had before written.

What I started thinking over several different periods of thought is that he and my biological father, whom I had never met before 1989 and whom I guess I had never met since and certainly not in the past decade, are biological half-brothers.

That means Joseph Burgess and Prince Charles would be biological half-brothers, according to that line of thought.

Joseph Burgess and my biological [ father ], my thinking goes, have the same biological father but they have different biological mothers.

I was raised to believe Joseph Burgess was my biological father but according to thoughts I had last month extensively he would have been actually my biological half-uncle.

His biological father would be my biological grandfather.

"Trust and Blood" is the fifteenth episode of the third season of the NBC science fiction drama series Heroes and forty-ninth episode overall. The episode, also classed as episode 2 of Volume 4, aired on February 9, 2009.

Plot

After the plane crash, the heroes scatter and are chased by government agents. Matt, Suresh, and Hiro all end up hiding in the same ditch and work together to avoid capture. Matt and Suresh are hopeful that Hiro can just teleport them away, but Hiro tells them that his powers are gone. Matt enters a precognitive state and leads the other two to a trailer where he finds crayons.

He draws many pictures, but the most attention is paid to a drawing of Daphne being shot with the plane wreckage in the background. Matt rushes back to the crash site, and Hiro and Mohinder follow.

Ando tries to book a flight to Russellville, Arkansas after tracking Hiro's GPS signal, but the person on the other end of the phone seems to have never heard of Russellville. Daphne shows up as Ando hangs up the phone. She's trying to find Matt and figured Hiro and Ando may be able to help. When Ando hears Matt disappeared as well, he decides the people who kidnapped Hiro may have Matt too. Daphne grabs Ando and speeds off to Russellville.

Plot

Matt Parkman's prophetic images from the previous episode leads Hiro Nakamura and Ando Masahashi to India to stop a wedding from taking place. The bride, Annapoora, is upset as she truly does not love the groom, Deepak, and is being forced into the wedding. Hiro becomes jealous of Ando, who talks to Annapoora and becomes the hero by making her call off the wedding. Afterward, a furious Deepak kidnaps Ando and makes the wedding go ahead as planned. By the end of the episode, the wedding is in full swing when Hiro manages to stop the wedding, and get Ando back. Hiro discerns that the trip to India was destined so that he realizes that he can be the Hero without having special abilities. Near the end of the episode, the two receive a fax from the mysterious "Rebel", the same name that has been contacting Claire Bennet. The fax tells Hiro and Ando that they need to save Matt Parkman.

Good evening:

This is the 37th time I have spoken to you from this office, where so many decisions have been made that shaped the history of this Nation. Each time I have done so to discuss with you some matter that I believe affected the national interest.

In all the decisions I have made in my public life, I have always tried to do what was best for the Nation. Throughout the long and difficult period of Watergate, I have felt it was my duty to persevere, to make every possible effort to complete the term of office to which you elected me.

In the past few days, however, it has become evident to me that I no longer have a strong enough political base in the Congress to justify continuing that effort. As long as there was such a base, I felt strongly that it was necessary to see the constitutional process through to its conclusion, that to do otherwise would be unfaithful to the spirit of that deliberately difficult process and a dangerously destabilizing precedent for the future.

But with the disappearance of that base, I now believe that the constitutional purpose has been served, and there is no longer a need for the process to be prolonged.

I would have preferred to carry through to the finish, whatever the personal agony it would have involved, and my family unanimously urged me to do so. But the interests of the Nation must always come before any personal considerations.

From the discussions I have had with Congressional and other leaders, I have concluded that because of the Watergate matter, I might not have the support of the Congress that I would consider necessary to back the very difficult decisions and carry out the duties of this office in the way the interests of the Nation will require.

I have never been a quitter. To leave office before my term is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in my body. But as President, I must put the interests of America first. America needs a full-time President and a full-time Congress, particularly at this time with problems we face at home and abroad.

To continue to fight through the months ahead for my personal vindication would almost totally absorb the time and attention of both the President and the Congress in a period when our entire focus should be on the great issues of peace abroad and prosperity without inflation at home.
